LAGOS — THE spat between the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Senate President, Bukola Saraki, got messier, yesterday, with Senator Saraki accusing Tinubu of attacking him because he opposed his proposed Muslim-Muslim ticket with President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2015 presidential election.

Claiming that Tinubu also confessed that President Buhari excluded him from the APC-led Federal Government, Saraki said personal interest was the main reason Tinubu was supporting Buhari’s re-election.

Tinubu’s media team refused to react yesterday when Vanguard called for its reaction to the Senate President’s claims.

This is even as the Rivers State Government, yesterday, flayed the APC leader for saying Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, defected to PDP because of the presidential ticket Governor Nyesom Wike promised him.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) said its personnel on internal security operations in Zamfara State have killed scores of bandits terrorising the people of the state.

The bandits were killed in Sububu Forest, Birni Magaji and Rugu Forest following air strikes and helicopter gunship attacks on the stronghold of the terrorists.

Federal Government, yesterday, announced that it had completed arrangements to concession six hydro dams to private operators under build, operate and transfer, BOT, scheme.

Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, who disclosed this during the 29th Power Sector Stakeholders’ meeting in Minna, Niger State, said the step was aimed at energising educational institutions and markets in the country.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kwara Command, on Monday returned N410,000 to the family of one Adamu Ibrahim who died in an auto accident on Ilorin-Ogbomoso Expressway on Aug. 11.
