Good evening, sir.

For traditional sand-cement tile fixing, the mixing ratio depends on the type of tiles, the surface, and the application.

Generally, a 1:3 ratio (1 part cement to 3 parts sharp sand) is commonly used for conventional sand-cement bedding, especially for floor tiling. However, the sand should be properly graded, clean, and free from excessive impurities.

For wall tiling, the method depends on the wall surface and tile type. Cement-based tile adhesive is generally recommended, particularly for large-format or heavy tiles, because it offers better bonding when properly applied.

Please note that the correct method also depends on whether you are using ceramic, porcelain, or other types of tiles. Proper surface preparation is equally important for a durable finish.

If the project is properly coordinated there will be no issues. All cables must pass through pipes or trench in case of future replacement. And plumbing pipes must be properly paid and slope. Provision should be made for accessing soil pipes in case of blockage.

Absolutely, I agree. Proper coordination and planning at the initial stage are very important to prevent future problems. All electrical cables should be properly routed through conduits or suitable trenches to allow easy access and replacement when necessary.

The plumbing pipes should also be properly laid with the correct slope and adequate support to ensure proper drainage. There should also be accessible inspection points for soil and drainage pipes so that any blockage or maintenance can be handled without damaging the finished floor.

When all these provisions are properly considered before the concrete work begins, it greatly reduces the risk of future repairs and unnecessary costs.

What if they run a pipe through it and it has issues it simply means they would have to break it.

. Honestly, I’ve never had a stamped concrete project develop issues because of hidden pipes. Before we cast any floor, I always carry out a proper check on all pipes laid on the ground and communicate with the plumber and electrician to ensure everything is correctly installed and positioned for future maintenance.

My advice to clients is simple: any pipes running underground should, where possible, be positioned close to the fence wall. Or the building wall This makes future maintenance easier and helps prevent unnecessary breaking of the entire floor.

When pipes are properly positioned, you can easily locate the affected area and fix the problem without damaging a large portion of the floor.

That’s why we take our time to inspect and plan properly before casting on every project, just like the project shown in the picture below.
