Op,I did my bvn the first time it was introduced,but the phone number I registered with then has been lost, the sim card wasn't even registered then because there wasn't compulsory sim registration then.
What I wanted to know is that will the number link to my bvn have anything to do with my day to day transactions with my bank,I mean for alerts or otp or password change.

Best thing to do is visit the bank where you did BVN and change the number there to your current phone number. Case closed.
