Mariangeles: What was that first phone that gave you everything you ever wanted in a phone?
Mine was the Tecno spark K7. Up until today, I haven't totally gotten over that phone. I even tried to buy it again, but it was no longer available. I will never forget that phone.
What was yours?
SAGEM (my201x). Big boy of me then at COE Gindiri, Plateau state. More than half of the 144 of us in my departmental had no phones.
Shagreenn: They say love is sweet… but sometimes, love can be wicked. Is love truly wicked, as some people say? Sometimes, love turns into something dark… something deadly. This is the sad story of Lieutenant Samson Haruna, a young Nigerian Army officer who served his country with pride — but lost his life in a shocking and painful way… inside his own home. He wasn’t killed by enemies on the battlefield… He was set ablaze — by his wife. Lt. Samson Haruna was not just any soldier. He was a Medical Doctor in the Nigerian Army — serving as the Regimental Medical Officer at the 6 Battalion, Wellington Bassey Barracks, in Ibagwa, Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
He was loved by his colleagues — known for his calmness, discipline, and dedication. And just six months ago, he got married.Everyone thought it was the start of a beautiful union. But behind the smiles and military uniform, something was breaking apart — quietly, painfully. It was the night of September 22, 2025. Inside their apartment at the barracks, an argument started between Lt. Haruna and his wife. Some reports say the fight began because his wife found messages on his phone — messages she believed came from another woman.
Voices were raised… tempers flared… and then, in one dark moment — she snapped. According to reports, Mrs. Haruna grabbed a can of petrol, poured it on her husband… and struck a match. The flames consumed him instantly. Neighbors rushed out. Some tried to help — shouting for water, sand, anything to stop the fire. Inside that barracks, chaos filled the air. Lt. Haruna was rushed to the Military Reference Section (MRS) inside the barracks. He was still alive — badly burned but conscious. Doctors and soldiers worked through the night, trying to save him. He was later taken to the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital for advanced care.
But the burns were too deep… His body couldn’t take it anymore. Lt. Samson Haruna died from his injuries. News of his death spread quickly — first within the barracks, then across the country. A young army doctor… gone, not in battle, but at home. His wife — the woman he loved — was arrested immediately by military police. She is now in custody, as investigations continue. Neighbors described her as a quiet woman, not known for violence. So everyone kept asking the same question: What went wrong? Some reports claim she acted out of jealousy — saying she believed her husband was being unfaithful.
Others say the couple had been having regular arguments since their marriage. But no one expected it would end like this — in fire and death. The Nigerian Army has not yet released a full official statement, but sources confirm that Lt. Haruna’s body has been taken for burial rites according to military tradition. Every year, stories like this remind us of one truth — Anger, when left unchecked, can destroy everything we love. A moment of rage can end a life, a marriage, a future. Now, two lives are gone — One to death… and one to prison. Lt. Samson Haruna served his country with honor. He deserved peace… but found tragedy at home.
May his soul rest in peace. And may this story remind everyone listening — When anger burns in your heart, walk away… Because once you strike the match, there’s no going back. Thank you for listening to this report. If you want to hear more true stories like this — real crimes, real people — Subscribe, like, and share this video. Until next time… stay safe, stay calm, and never let anger win.
The way this story is trending, I'm not going to be surprised if it turns out the other way round. I don't believe the story is this way. Let's hear the results of the investigations that will be carried out.
I don't like the man much in this portfolio. He would have just gone back to the school system or await contesting a second time for governorship, or maybe, the senate. home here, many people don't like him either. The whole lot that brewed between him and the current governor especially during their tribal festivals which all were held same day still hangs on his neck.
To me, this appointment will reverse by strength and might, the love Tinubu already had in Plateau. Anything that had once hurt Mutfwang is a no no for the normal plateau man. I don't know what is so tech about this man. Tinubu should have better given someone else. That man might have been better as a minister of education, maybe youths and sports though... based on experience with him. If I were him, I'd go back to the academia.
1Alex: I started using Samsung since 2011. I used note1 from 2011 to 2013, note 3 2013 to 2018(without screen protector but still no single scratch on screen in 2018, I had to change it because it was getting very old.)
then I bought Google pixel 3xl 2018 to 2020, after just one drop, the screen smashed.
I bought pixel 3a xl in 2020, again the screen smashed in 2021, I went back to Samsung, bought galaxy note 9, it got stolen after one month.
I went back and repaired the pixel 3xl, used it from 2021 to 2023,the screen spoilt again,
I bought galaxy note 10 plus. From 2023 till now. That's what I'm making this post with.
Among all the Samsung, none had a single fault whatsoever, even on the screen.
Fact! Samsung always beats. I bought SAMSUNG Galaxy DUOS GT-S7293 back in 2015. The phone is still working today. Never had anything spoilt. Only the calibrator has issues now. I don't even know where to get it so I can replace it. For me, SAMSUNG ALL THE WAY
Recompense7: As a child, what was that dumb thing you ever did? I mean the Most Dumb thing you did?
Me: Having worked as a houseboy while growing up, I was tasked with the responsibility of cooking for a large number of people. All the foods I prepared were salty. Either too much salt or maggi or pepper. But most times, it was salt. I tried to stop but no way. Because if I tried to have a taste of what I was cooking, they would say I had finished the food while still on the fire.
What I was doing to reduce the saltiness of the food was to POUR MORE SALT directly into the FIRE. This was Based on superstition at the time. I was told that doing so would drastically reduce or completely remove the salt in the food. Till date, I can't tell if it ever worked or not.
When we were in primary 4, any water drawer we came across while navigating our village ends up in the well.
Comment of the year finally arrived. Objective, clear and comprehensive. Thanks for this educative piece.
icedfire: Let’s get some facts in order, because emotions are running high and misinformation is everywhere
Claim 1: “Israel attacked Iran first, and Iran is a sovereign nation.”
This argument keeps popping up, but it ignores years and decades of provocation and aggression from Iran.
Rebuttal: Iran has been attacking Israel for years indirectly by funding, arming, and commanding proxies like Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, and Shia militias in Iraq and Syria. These groups have been consistently launching rockets and bombs into Israeli territory. This isn’t hearsay — this is confirmed by global intelligence agencies and even openly admitted by Iran’s own leadership.
On October 7, Hamas launched a brutal and unprecedented terror attack on Israel — killing civilians, taking hostages, and sparking the current escalation. That attack was the first shot in this round of war, not anything Israel did to Iran directly.
Yes, Israel is now responding — as any nation would. And they’re doing it strategically, going after each proxy one by one — Hamas, then other militias, and now possibly turning their attention to Iran itself, the source of it all.
Even Hezbollah — Iran’s top ally — is now publicly saying they won’t join the war if Iran is directly attacked. That tells you everything. Iran is mostly alone, because even its so-called allies know how reckless this has become.
Claim 2: “If Israel and the U.S. have nuclear weapons, why can’t Iran have nukes too?”
On the surface, this might sound like a fair question but look deeper.
Rebuttal: There’s a massive difference between who holds nuclear weapons and how they intend to use them.
In Iran, every parliamentary session ends with chants of “Death to Israel, Death to America.” This isn’t symbolic. Iran backs it up with real-world violence through its proxies. They’ve made their intentions crystal clear — they want to wipe Israel off the map. So why should a nation with that mindset be allowed to have nuclear weapons?
Think of it like this: it’s okay for a police officer to carry a gun, because his job is to protect people. But should we hand a gun to an armed robber who already told us he plans to shoot someone? That’s exactly what giving Iran nukes would look like.
The U.S. and Israel having nukes doesn’t mean everyone should. There’s a difference between deterrence and destruction. Iran isn’t seeking peace. They are seeking power to enforce their ideology through violence.
Iran is too small for Isreal to destroy. Imagine , if Isreal was to do the same thing Iran is doing ? Isreal and now Us are the only country that would announce an impending attack to you civilians to move , hence targeting only military installations but Iran doesn’t give no eff about civilians . They delight in blowing up hospitals. Please if you want to Arthur , argue with logic and not emotions or your religious affiliations or sentiments . Ire o
dalongjnr: The performing governor of plateau state is not moving anywhere. He have turned plateau state into a construction 🚧 site. Workers are smiling, farmers are smiling as they where given fertiliser and other farm imput/implements. pensioners are smiling, as they are paid their pension as and when due,and about 20 years of gratuity backlog almost cleared. families of deceased civil servants are smiling as he's paying death benefits. The rate at which he's quietly 🤫 commissioning strategic projects is satisfying. He recently approved another 17 new ones(projects) and work is going on at a very fast pace. What he has done ✔️ in 2 years, Simon lalong didn't do in 8 years. I mean everything I said. The legacy projects which are a signature white elephant projects, where abandoned by lalong himself after spending about 38 billion naira without something to show for it. Lalong really messed up the state in his second tenure. This man(mutfwang) came and started with construction and palliative of township roads and fixed all abandoned and new strategic road networks and slowly going into the villages. Now the LGCs are now having their share of construction of rural roads at a massive level. At the rate at which he's going, any candidate present by the APC will lose the election before 10 AM.
Tackle insecurity once and for all, by using the military might on whoever is a known terrorist.
Initiate and implement policies that will make food cheap and available for nigerians.
Declare our educational system archaic and revamp it to be consistent with the times and tailored towards self sufficiency. Many subjects and courses are no longer useful abeg. Any new university should be science, technology or vocationally based. This is jara

I studied guidance and counseling but I must say, this exam is nothing short of standard. The level of application is top notch and difficulty, adequate. Give this to our students today and see half full answer booklets.
That's why every past leader had always acquired a good name after his successor unleashes his own venom on us. In a few years, we will miss this regime and Buhari's

Alphanancy: El-rufai sef dey talk. The greatest hypocrite of them all. I can never take these men serious. These men went up all in arms against GEJ just so they could grab power. Now they are casting blames because they have been schemed out of the power equation by the same men they once were in collusion. Now that Amaechi is politically useless he wants to form alliance with a bitter el-rufai. These men cannot win a local government election today. Just that Nigerians have short memory.
Safyqueen: His followers who are truthful to themselves will now become Muslim straight.
He said it during this very journey in Makurdi that if there is something GOD called ALLAH and that prophet Muhammad is his messenger and there is a book called Quran. That may he not arrived Kaduna safely.and die by accident. He boasted that he can never die by accident
Mightymanna: He has now testify that there is only ONE GOD and JESUS CHRIST IS HIS MESSENGER. But it is too late Azzaman spent his entire life arguing with Muslims in the name of evangelism
Hmmmmm. That's his part I didn't like. Especially the part where he responds to almost every stone they hurl at him. Nevertheless, he did those, I guess, because of the dictates of our times.
A man of God with a difference, my mentor and model. Rest with the Lord Dad. He was a strong and bold personality who defends the faith and the persecuted. May God raise over 50 of his type.
