0bjpmb: How’s timid nsukka that hasn’t seen civilization even after 50yrs of having UNN more accessible than Onitsha where the missionaries first established western education and missionaries(Catholic and Anglican) in the entire eastern Nigeria, a city that was mostly occupied and used by European businessmen and women that were importing and exporting during colonial era , that was even long before Nigeria had independence. Zik was a detribalised Nigerian, that’s why he did what he did. Zik was the only nationalist that was detribalized among all the founding fathers. There’s no Igbo city more strategically located than Onitsha, because it’s the link between eastern Nigeria to western, southern and northern Nigeria both by land and sea . The truth is that Zik wasn’t a tribalist like most Nigerian politicians today . Another timid ignorant imp on the loose |

Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by christejames(m): 4:04pm On Sep 18, 2024 |
Localemperor: When Zik was citing UNN, he put into consideration that UNN was the first indigenous University in Nigeria and needed to be accessible by all Nigerians. that was why Nsukka was used. Nsukka is more accessible to Nigerians when compared to Onitsha. If the University must be situated in the South East, then Nsukka is the only suitable location. Onitsha is down south, Aba is down south, Nsukka is the only location that allows the project to remain in the South East and also accessible to Nigerians.
There is a reason it is called University of Nigeria and not University of Eastern Nigeria. Another poor knowledge of geography from you 😏... Do you even know that Onitsha can easily and quickly be accessed through Uzo-Uwani faster than through Enugu? And again Onitsha is not in the South as you alluded but Eastern axis of Southeast. |

Localemperor: Which UNEC students does Obukpa Nsukka usually receive? Please enlightened me.
Because I for a fact (1000000%) knows that, no UNEC students passes Opi road again after crossing Over from Nsukka campus after their 100level.
I was in this system before graduating, so when I speak, I speak fact. Most Health Science and Medical science students (98%) don't even knows that there is a place called Obukpa Nsukka.
So Sir, I want to know the batch of UNEC students that still visit Obukpa Nsukka all the way from Enugu. Stop spewing rubbish if you know nothing about something... It's obvious you were not a medical student. UNN medical students have some students posted for the community service at UNTH Obukpa during their final years. I have a friend who did hers in Obukpa. If you know nothing about something just keep quiet than to display your ignorance to the world. |

Ningishzida: Nice publicity for the NPFL but no publicity beats having a professionally edited highlight videos for each game on YouTube. I want to support the Nigerian League but I can't sit down to watch a football game being broadcasted using 144p video shot on a 5mp camera on a not-so-good looking pitch. Use StarTimes and watch it well broadcast across all venues or you can download the NPFL Live app from playstore and watch every match there |

When they come out to debunk something like this, just know that the initial post or claim was actually made by them... They made the first post to test the waters to know how Nigerians will be receptive to a private refinery selling at about #1,000 per litre as the against the envisioned cheaper price being tauted by the masses from the refinery |
