NEPOTISM AND CASH FOR PERSONNEL UPGRADING AND CONVERSION FOR 2024 AND 2025 RESPECTFULLY IN NIGERIA SECURITY AND CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS AS ELIGIBLE OFFICERS WERE DENIED.

Attention of the Honorable Minister of Interior, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is drawn to the nepotism by the CG of NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi and cash for upgrading and conversion by some cabals in the security organization.

This has been going on since the CG was sworn in creating a toxic, unfair workplace with low morale and resentment as qualified personnel are overlooked for less competent relatives, tribes and those who find their way through bribe.

Upgrading and conversion in public service is formal processes for career advancement or changing qualifications, such as a SSCE, ND, NCE holder converting to HND, Bachelor's degree involving formal applications, assessments, and policy frameworks to progress roles, responsibilities, or academic standings and conversion explicitly moves between different categories like job grades.

A total number of 718 and 561 personnel were upgraded and converted in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Many unqualified personnel who were from the North most especially Nasarawa and employed in 2023 without fulfilling the mandatory 2years of probationary and confirmation examination were listed among the upgraded and converted personnel in 2024. And many personnel who were not eligible bribed themselves with between #150,000 and #250,000 to be listed. Most of the personnel who can not even write their names presented fake and unverifiable certificates bribe to get listed while qualified personnel were disqualified in both year.

ACTIONS
* The Minister should as a matter of urgency revisit the exercise.
* The Interior Ministry should take over the exercise forthwith
*Examination should be conducted for all eligible personnel to select the qualified among them
* A new exercise should be conducted for both 2024 and 2025
* Sanctioned the CG NSCDC

This act of injustice by the CG and his cabals has reduced the Morales of personnel as many from the South East and South West geopolitical zones are most affected.
