Gabbiecar: Stay away from the Hyundai and Kias, their engines (the 2.4 and the 2.0 turbo are known to fail catastrophically due to a factory defect), you can get the Lexus if you're not a family man, the Benz w204 C300 (stay away from the w205 c class) is your best bet, they have proven to be pretty good with time ( you don't really need the 4matic version, one more part to fail), another good option is the 2010 Es350 or 2013 camry with the 2ar engine
oga sonata's engine is far better than that 2ar/2az u mentioned there.
to op lexus IS model is cool but quite tight Inside. the benz comes with normal benz wahala, ask people who used it. although the c300 get sense small but............
any of the two japmobils will go for me, but make sure u get a good technician to inspect with modern gadgets before paying.
Arysexy: I don't want to take chances, I'm moving over to Camry 2009-2011
ask well about that camry engine before u buy it. there's every possiblity of u buying a new engine before u finish using it. as for me, that leg issue is pure negligence wahala I choose honda any day anytime

Reeoman: sir i dont really knw what it does bt my bro had a bad one in his crv and fuel consumption was mad ehnn, bt once it was changed the fuel consumption became very minimal
same thing that has happened to a million people.
and for that crv, it's worse on the 2003-2006 model
valarinz: That No. 1, Nigerians have been peddling this for decades, i don't think you're correct. The work of a catalyst on a vehicle is not to minimize fuel consumption like you guys paint it.
Kindly explain to me how the absence of catalyst will "jack up fuel consumption like mad". What does it do on a vehicle?
the primary concern of a catalyst is reducing emission.
but do u know that the absence of that catalyst and every other parts in the exhaust system will make way for what is called "free flowing exhaust system" which will in turn allow for more pressure leaving the engine uncontrolled.
a car with free flowing exhaust system will have a faster and higher rev cos it's uncontrolled but then it tells directly on ur fuel consumption.
hope u know that whenever there's a free air flow either into (injector) or out (exhaust) of a car it affects the rev and consumption.
Ajakaiye83: Just got a registered highlander 2001.
The fuel consumption within the city is huge particularly with AC on.
39miles with 4k fuel. The engine was just replaced.
I need help pls Cc: Nurey Gazzuz I stay around Gbagada
check these
(1) ask ur mechanic/panel beater to check if the catalyst (AKA indomie) is still there cos it's always a soft target for vandals and will jack up ur fuel consumption like mad.
(2) check electrical parts which includes spark plugs, coil (plug coil), nozzles, fuel pump and the injector itself. these are major determinants of fuel consumption in a car.
(3) the most unbelievable one to nigerians, check ur car's alignment, all four Tyres.
if u get these right, high fuel consumption will be history.
iluvdonjazzy: The money for salaries has exhausted except that of capital so federal government want to present supplementary budget so as soon as it is forwarded to the national assembly even before it will be passed it they will start payment of salaries.
