From this angle, Okoye couldn't have done much this onuachy self , ball watching. He should have closed up the gap or at least attacked that guy. |

Okoye shouldn't whatsoever be blamed for that shot. That was a knuckleball shot .it literally changed direction in the air. If you watched well, the guy already stepped to the right but the speed of the ball as it changed direction could not allow him to recover |

lbrichman2: Cut Osimhen some slack Chief If he's absent because of transfer issues, then best believe there are serious offers on the table Remember Lookman too would be absent, and no specific reason was given..
Well, Chelle has finally gotten the team to score goals in Osimhen's absence.. I personally would have loved to see him against Poland and Portugal ( I hope he comes for the Portugal game), but if he doesn't show, nothing spoil We go out there and play our game..
Lookman too, would have loved to see him.. If na another coach, I may have panicked a bit, but with Chelle, rest of mind full ground..
Other strikers should grab this opportunity and step up to the plate And thank God, we have Femi Azeez to play that Lookman's role..
We move!! honestly , the guy needs a competitor in our squad. By the time we find that person, you will see them hustling to play. We just need someone that can press in that front. |

TheSuperNerd: PSG's otherworldly attack makes them favorites for sure plus they are the reigning Champs so will want to defend it.
But for Arsenal... this is 20yrs in the making. 2006 was their first UCL final. 2026 is their 2nd in history. They may not see this chance again for another 20yrs unless their summer signings this year upgrades their squad even further. I see "Haram" Arteta on display in that final. He would do anything to disrupt Luis Enrique's free flowing PSG.
The match would be tactically interesting but also frustating, I expect, at certain points. Well said. Arsenal also won this Bayern team. It won't be so easy for PSG. I feel arsenal will win this. |

Napoleon55: I wouldn't say this vs PSG, but if it were Bayern, I would agree. PSG won't find it easy, Arsenal might actually surprise everyone, if they could focus on a particular trophy. If I were them,I would focus on champions league. thank you. Arsenal is tactically balanced. |

Blueelf: Osimhen would eat in this athletico team
If Alvarez leaves next season, they should go for osimhen if they can. Unpopular opinion but osimhen would be better off in athletico.
There would be too much clash of egos in bayern and barcelona. In Athletico, he would be a very effective target man that presses real well from the front, just like simeone likes them . Osimhen to atheletico, hmmm. I disagree |

semid4lyfe: It might not age well because footballers are human and are capable of improving, being stagnant or declining. Ultimately. they prove you either right or wrong. Such is life.
I once did not rate Ekong. Thought he was a very poor defender but he went to the 2023 AFCON and put in a 2006 world cup Cannavaro-esque stellar performance and emerged tournament MVP.
Also, I thought Calvin Bassey was poor circa 2021-2022 when he made his Super Eagles debut and played for Rangers & Ajax but he's turned out to be our best defender at the 2025 AFCON and made team of the tournament.
I wish Onyedika well but I just don't think he's the right type of profile for the Super Eagles DM position in any formation.
BTW, I have always rated Alhassan Yusuf. This thread is replete with my posts praising him and defending his invitation/inclusion to/in the Super Eagles team when others labelled him a quota system pick.
I hope Chelle recalls him back to the team. A good player is a good player irrespective of the league he plays. alhassan has lungs that can fill onyeka's role. Oneydika will come good. The guy thrives in a pure 3 man midfield where is not the guy to mark. Most times we forget how good this guy was against Russia. I feel an ndidi, iwobi and onyedika with onyedika in more advanced role will make us appreciate the guy. Time will tell. One player I miss so much is chrisantus Uche. He is that guy I feel can compliment osimhen the way AKOR does Finally, I feel benjamin Fredricks, will be massive in midfield esp that Ndidi role ( just thinking )the boy's movement that resulted to the goal against Gabon keep playing in my head. |

TheSuperNerd: That game was beneath the two midfield generals (Iwobi and Ndidi) if you ask me and more reason why Iwobi vex for that Jordan guy. It was like, "I pass you, you know yet you still dey flex muscle because ref dey help una. U still come dey hold me like say na wrestling..."
I understand Iwobi but still he should have just walked away from the disgust. This was part of why they just did not come to the party in the 2nd half. They knew the Jordanians were taking it too seriously and they (Iwobi & Ndidi) did not want to exert more than they needed to so it resulted in some form of passive surrender to the gra gra of the arabs. 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 |

As for zaidu, I already knew he will offer nothing. The most annoying thing is that he doesn't have crosses and lacks passing skills. |

TheSuperNerd: Alex Iwobi took a friendly game way more personal than needed. I get that he was disgusted at the Arabs' dirty plays but he should have controlled his reaction better.
The Jordanian player pulled annoyingly at Iwobi's jersey, all shirt and short... but still, Alex should have not retaliated at the disgusting Jordanian's actions.
Ofcos folks like Papi85 and co wont speak on this as Iwobi must not be criticised in their books but it must be said. Iwobi messed up. As a General, he should know better. Anyway, thank God na friendly. those guys were very aggressive with the marking and the referee was not helping matters. Alex is not that reactionary. Whatever that must have happened will make most players react. |

BascoVanVeli: I explained the attitude right underneath nah. We stopped playing once we got the lead and by the time they scored it was too late. Doesn't that remind u of Zimbabwe in Uyo
As for Iwobi, there is nothing that guy did to him in less than 20 minutes that was worth that reaction. I hope this is an isolated situation but let's not act like nothing happened. What he did made Osimhen's reactions look like child's play >( fair point anyways. But saying that what that player did to iwobi was nothing is very insensitive. . The ugly part is even how they wanted to convert the whole thing to fight. To them, it was more like a fight. |
