Each state has its own cutoff so for let's say Chemistry, someone from Osun will get admission with a lower score than someone from Imo. The number of applicants from Imo may be 100 of which 20 may go in whereas only 2 from Osun will apply and those 2 will go in.

Everybody cannot be admitted and the selection criteria is determined by NUC.
