ChuksOkonye: NRC BEGINS TRAINING OF NEWLY RECRUITED STAFF
NWAFOR POLYCARP 12 FEB 2018 The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has commenced training of its newly recruited staff aimed at improving the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the corporation.
Newsmen report that the NRC recently recruited new workers as part of effort to ensure efficient and effective rail services across the country.
Addressing the trainees at the NRC Training School, Zaria, Kaduna State on Monday, the Director of Administration and Human Resources, NRC, Dr Aminu Gusau, urged them to make the best use of the opportunity to improve their skills.
He said the essence of the training was to give the workers both technical and general knowledge of what the railways is all about.
“Our main function in the railways is to train you. Many of you who have just been recruited are gathered here after your induction in Lagos.
“The essence of this training is to make you better and knowledgable professionals, particularly in operations of the Nigerian Railway Corporation.
“We brought you here to teach you about professionalism, to make you understand the corporate culture of the corporation and to acquaint you with skills on the need to satisfy your customers.
“We are trying to achieve maximum productivity in terms of service that will lead to boosting our IGR which will eventually develop our economy,” he said.
While appreciating the decorum, perseverance and high sense of maturity exhibited by the trainees, Gusau assured that the NRC would not post workers out without giving them the necessary training.
He said the present administration was committed toward the realisation of the set objective for effective rail system in the country. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/02/nrc-begins-training-newly-recruited-staff/amp/ |

zellis001: My candid advice 2 u is to take d job bcuz working for d fed govt has more prospects dan state govt. Wateva u saw in d appointment letter is your basic salary. Allowances are usually not stated. Even though right now, nrc might nt b getting any bogus allowances, there is still hope because unlike in d past, it generates revenue and d future is in rail transport. Pls tink twice about your decision Well said. The rail transport really has a lot of prospect. |

msb247: Who knows where NRC usually trains their staff?
I also want to know whether the new intakes will be posted across several states based on their residence or must everyone report to Lagos? The essence of the recruitment was the recent commissioning of the Abuja to Kaduna Standard Gauge Rail Service by the President. So this can tell you where intakes are likely to be posted. |

sipisipi: I think documentation will come before Appointment letter, because during the interview my Nysc was not checked,WAEC certificate was not checked,it was only my degree certificate that was checked and written and the interviewer asked other questions ,which i answered, and he wrote it down You mean it? My interviewer started with my NYSC certificate, then he proceeded to my University certificate and lastly my O-level. He took record of all. |
