TO: ALL NEWLY ADMITTED FUTARIANS.
FUTA is just like every other higher institution in Nigeria. Everyone in any other universities will claim that their university is the most stressful or the best. I believe that is a relative judgement. FUTA lifestyle is simple depending on how you want it. You find 75 percent of student populace seeking solace in religious activities. Social life is just picking up compared to schools like UNILAG and OAU. Unionism is relatively silent. FUTA students don't have the capacity to pull off protest stunts like OAU and the advantage we get from that is that most times, apart from ASUU strikes, FUTA usually runs a straight calender.
Now to academics which is your ultimate reason for being in school. FUTA needs you to study hard. They don't dash out marks. Make sure you attend lectures too. It helps. You will be required to take some courses that may not relate to your course , don't be discouraged. Have it at the back of your mind that you are cannot escape from offering them .In other words, you cannot be a graduate of FUTA without having taken those courses irrespective of your department! The courses include MEE 101, MEE102,GNS101,GNS102,GNS103,GNS106,and ( CSP201 and CSP210). When taking general agriculture, you will be given a plot of land to cultivate. Don't be afraid like I said earlier. Its their own way of building you to be self reliant. Wow! I have told you so much already. Morever, FUTA is a good place to study except for the fact that what you will need 5 years to do in FUTA, you can do it in 4 years in conventional universities like OAU and UNILAG. I need help on where to stay before hostel is ready! M comin 2moro..

I want to know whether there are provisions as to a place of abode, for all hostel applicants ,pending when the hostels are ready for use.

Statutory Declaration of Age is the ONLY valid document used in lieu of Birth Certificate by Nigerians born before 1988 and whose birth was not officially registered in the hospital

let birth certificate be from a doctor/hospital not from lawyer oooh.....wetin concern dem concern your birth matter...or else...those in-charge will tear it *the paper* in your presence....they can chew it self...*if you catch them eating it...abeg..run for your life..you know not what they can chew after that*

court affidavit is different from birth certificate.....y not go to any medical centre for dis.....aba.......una like court gaan oooooh....any small tin court court court

I already have "A declaration For Age";some people call it "Affidavit For Birth"which is what I have been using as Birth Certificate.I just wish to know whether FUTA accets it

How much does it cost to rent a room off-campus?

Is the tablet compulsory for DIRECT ENTRY (200 level)FRESHERS?

Does FUTA accept COURT AFFIDAVIT FOR BIRTH as Birth Certificate?
