Please any update about this recruitment please
Yeah....I learned that they have finished compiling the list. That every four months they normally meets. That's to say after they met on April, they supposed to Meet again this August for their board meetings and discuss about the lists before they release it, which is not going to take place again this Month but something second or third week of next month of the meeting. Hopefully maybe ending of next month, they might release the lists, not sure though. But from what I heard from reliable source. Lets just keep our fingers crossed. God will help us all.

It's well my brother. Never give up....you never can tell what God has in store for you. Keep pushing....one day you will surely see the end of every tunnels.

NiceLegs:
Shortlisted or not. Give thanks.

It's better not to be shortlisted. Than to be shortlisted. Go through all the Exams and Interview stages. Pass through all the stages. Get to the final stage. And they drop you like a piece of paper.

You think it can't happen? It happens everyday.

Happened to me recently and I am still recovering from it.

Let me tell you my story.

I applied for a job with an NGO company called "Teach For Nigeria" in March this year.

I applied cos I heard of "Teach For Australia", "Teach For America" and I was like hmmm...this NGO must be very big.

Let me apply.

So I did my research and I applied.

I think what they do is to recruit University Graduates to teach for 2 years in some places.

Same month of March when the Federal Civil Service Recruitment was on going was when I applied too.

Omo...that Teach For Nigeria choke us with Interview each month.

I applied in March.

Long Application.

After few days. They sent mail that I passed the application stage and I have been moved to the next round.

April came....they sent email for CBT examination.

I did the CBT exam.

2 weeks after, same April. They sent email that I passed the CBT examination and I have been moved to the next stage of the interview.

Ending of April, they sent another email for a "Micro Teaching" Interview.

I did Micro-Teaching on the day they gave me.

That day, I knew I did very well because the interviewer commended me specially on my teaching skills.

May came, they sent a congratulatory email that I passed the Micro-Teaching interview and I have been moved to the next stage of the interview which was what they called "Critical Thinking Examination".

In my mind, I was like which kain interview process be this?

Ha!!!

Same month of May, I did their Critical Thinking Examination and few days later, I got an email that I passed.

Thinking that was the end of the Gulder Ultimate Search Interview process.

I was wrong.

Days later, I got another email that I have been shortlisted for a Final Interview stage which they call "In-Person Final Evaluation" at a place called Workforce Group at Gbagada in Lagos.

In my mind I was like ha, 5 stages of interview.

Which kind interview process be this?

Maybe the salary fit be like N800,000 or even N1Million and above as per International NGO now.

But sincerely, I was already getting tired to be honest.

Shortlisted candidates from other states travelled from far and wide, spent money for the interview at Gbagada that same May ending.

I went on that day. Did the interview. The interviewers loved me so much because interview session became like a family discussion. They liked my personality and I have teaching experience so there was nothing they asked I couldn't answer.

Finished and went home late.

While going home ehn, rain beat me scatter. I was soaked when I got home.

I was finally happy that I was done with their "unending" recruitment process and was just waiting for my offer letter because I knew I did very well in all the interview processes especially my Final evaluation and Micro-Teaching.

Only to hear last month June that they sent Offer Letters to their chosen candidates and I was dropped.

What?
I understand?
Really?
How?
How come?
What happened?

I was shocked.

I was so pissed.

I entered this month of July with so much vex.

After 5 months of recruitment process?
After 5 stages of interview process?
You stressed my life.
You wasted my time.
You wasted my resources.
You wasted my efforts.

On the day of the Micro-Teaching interview ehn, they booked me for afternoon session. You need to see the way I was sweating and shouting on top of my voice so that my listeners could hear me.

Oh...God. I don suffer.

Make it make sense.

I was so pissed.

Then I decided to chat up someone who got the Offer letter. She give me the shock of my existence when she said the salary on their offer was just N94K per month before Tax.

I almost fainted.

Somebody should please pour cold water on me.

N94k?

Like seriously?

For all that stress.

Really?

Nigeria is gone.

Anything Govt recruitment, I don wash my hand. Never again.

Let me go and make Indomie and Egg and eat this night and be happy biko.

PRESS STATEMENT

NIGERIA CUSTOMS SERVICE DISCREDITS FRAUDULENT RECRUITMENT CBT SHORTLIST CIRCULATING ONLINE

1. The attention of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has been drawn to a fake press release currently circulating on social media and other messaging platforms, falsely announcing the shortlist for a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The purported release falsely asserts that the CBT is scheduled to take place in July, 2025 as part of the ongoing NCS recruitment exercise.

2. The NCS wishes to categorically state that the said press release is fraudulent, misleading, and did not emanate from the Nigeria Customs Service. At no time did the Service issue any such announcement regarding a CBT slated to take place in July 2025.

3. Upon close scrutiny, it is clear that the fake statement contains several discrepancies, particularly in its formatting. The e-signature format differs from our official standard and the recruitment timeline mentioned shows a faulty structure that is not connected to any legitimate process.

4. The Nigeria Customs Service understands the interest of many Nigerians in its ongoing recruitment process and urges the public not to engage with, share, or act upon such unverified content. Authentic information about NCS activities, including its ongoing recruitment exercises, will be published only on our official website, verified social media platforms, and recognised national newspapers.

5. The Service is taking steps to trace the origin of this false information and will take appropriate action to hold those responsible accountable. When the Service is set to begin the next phase of the recruitment process, the public will be duly notified through appropriate channels.

6. The NCS deeply appreciates the vigilance of concerned Nigerians. We reaffirm our commitment to protecting the public from misinformation, ensuring all our processes uphold the highest standards of transperancy and integrity.

have you seen the news ?

Which news? New FCC chairman?
President Tinubu Appoints Oladele Acting Chairman Of Federal Character Commission As Muheebah Dankaka's Tenure Elapses

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Hon. Kayode Oladele, the Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), as the Acting Chairman of the Commission.

SaharaReporters gathered that his appointment followed the completion of a five-year tenure of Dr. Muheebah Dankaka as the Executive Chairman of FCC.

The appointment of Oladele has been met with widespread commendation from some staff who described themselves as FCC Libration Group, who championed and carried out series of protests against the reappointment of Dr Dankaka, accusing her of inept leadership.

According to sources from the FCC Liberation Group, Hon. Oladele’s elevation to the critical national role marks a pivotal moment for both Ogun State and Nigeria at large, as he brings to the position a legacy of principled leadership, unwavering dedication to equity, and a deep understanding of constitutional governance.

"A seasoned legal practitioner, human rights advocate, and former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Crimes, Hon. Oladele has consistently distinguished himself as a man of vision, integrity, and accountability.

"His track record in public service, marked by diligence, intellectual depth, and patriotism, makes him eminently qualified to steer the affairs of the commission," the group said.

SaharaReporters had reported late June that some workers from both the head office and various state branches staged a coordinated protest opposing the renewal of the outgoing chairman’s appointment.

Amid the tension that surged at the Federal Character Commission (FCC) headquarters in Abuja on Thursday 26th June, 2024 following the protest, the workers called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to renew the outgoing Chairman of Federal Character Commission Dr. Muheebah Dankaka.

The protesters cited the collapse of leadership and alleged mismanagement within the commission as reasons for their demand.

The staff members expressed frustration over what they described as a lack of effective leadership and poor working conditions under Dankaka’s tenure.

They urged the Nigerian government to intervene and sack the chairman to restore order and functionality to the commission. The protest highlights the internal challenges facing the FCC, an agency responsible for ensuring the implementation of the federal character principle in appointments and promotions within the federal civil service.

Less than 24 hours to the end of her tenure as Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), loyalists of Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka reportedly mobilised thugs to stage a counter-protest against staff members who had earlier demonstrated over her five-year leadership.

The workers' representatives appealed for urgent intervention from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, alleging that Dankaka is making desperate efforts to return to office through bribery.

Allegations are rife that she has paid the sum of N500 million, and this money will be shared among all the offices for her reappointment," the workers' representatives stated in a letter dated June 26, 2025.

However, on Friday morning, thugs mobilised to the Commission's headquarters on a solidarity protest in support of Dankaka.

A staff member of the commission expressed concerns that the situation could have escalated out of control if not for the prompt response of the police.

Keep dreaming! That is not possible. Atiku is his boss. Atiku gets more supporters than Obi. Atiku gets more money than Obi. Atiku is older than Obi. Atiku had been vice president before. Okay Boss! But come to think of it, if peradventure, the coalition succeeded in polling massive votes, which I doubt and win 2027 election. Do you think PBAT will concede and hand over, which as GEJ did?

Let Atiku be Peter obi's running mate, since he said he'll run only four years and hand over to North, Then from there Atiku will contest as president and take over from Obi. That's my own suggestion.

I believe this is what was delaying the shortlists of NCS and thank God it has been settled today, has this will help to ease our tension about the recruitment 👇👇👇👇👇

*Reps approved NCS recruitment of 3,927 cadets, N6.58trillion Revenue target in 2025 budget.*

ABUJA – The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is set to bolster its operations with the recruitment of no fewer than 3,927 new cadets as part of its workforce expansion across the country.

This recruitment drive is captured in the 2025 Appropriation Bill, which passed its Third Reading during Wednesday’s plenary session of the House of Representatives. Funding for the exercise has been factored into the personnel cost segment of the NCS budget, in line with the revised salary structure of the Service.

The nominal roll used in computing the personnel cost was based on the current establishment strength of 16,245 personnel, plus the anticipated enlistment of 3,927 cadets for the 2024/2025 fiscal year.
