Good day sports lovers. I deposited 5k into my bet9ja online account to place a bet I was waiting for on the process I was debited by my bank but uptil now my bet9ja account has not been credited and this incident happened on the 14th of this month which is two days ago. I tried contacting their customer service via email but I got a reply that the email platform is not functional anymore and that I should send them a message via their contact platform on their website or contact them via their twitter page handle. And I have done all that yet no response and my account is still not credited. Please guys help me on what to do next |

elampiro: The North is more populated. The cesus figures from history say this. They keep making us believe that but are you aware that during the last census that cows and goats where counted? |

redsun: That is why a thorough census and forensic data keeping must be in place for Nigeria to be able to move forward equitably and productively. What we have today in that jungle are based on false representations and estimationa. It is unsystematic, hindering and unproductive.
The only way the Northern gangs can lose control of other regions is if the leaders of those other regions become transparent and accountable. There have to be positive changes that will carry the masses along, then thuggery and stark mediocrity will become things of the past. I concur to your statement. But the problem is that the leaders of these other regions are slaves to the northern leaders. It is almost impossible for these leaders to do without the northern leaders. If you are not a loyalist you can't get anything from the federal level and examples of such people are Rotimi Amaechi, Rochas Okorocha to name but a few. |

Joenyam: The answer is NO, that's why I said we must work hard to end it. Making the status quo more complex is not helping matters. INEC should come up with better policies and technologies as short and mid term strategies, and should stop giving us excuses that they were threatened. Were they threatened from the field to their offices? Or were reports not made on the experiences and progress of work by their field officials to either cancel or abrogate these under aged voters? the INEC you talked about the chairman is from the north and you will still discover that the north is holding major important positions in INEC and that tells you that no matter the technology that is in place it will still be in favor of the north because they would want their people to still be in charge. For me the best thing to do is for other regions to follow the same route as the north because with the way things are going in these country things are not getting better and it won't get better anytime soon. Now is for eye for an eye and thooth for thooth. |

Joenyam: One of Nigeria's problem is the lack of an organized and proper data system. Where all her citizens at birth, death or pro-life are well registered. Its more than a census, a regularly updated system where we can tell how many people were born yesterday, today or in 2017; how many people died in 2017 or today ; how many persons turned 18 in 2017; how many people are unemployed or lost their jobs; how many people are within 65 years and above if we want to offer special assistance for the aged. We need to know these things, without it we either over estimate or under. It bids my imagination when the govt comes up with figures in their budget. With these properly documented data, we can know what we need and how much we need and for whom. If the southern parts of the country start under age voting it won't bode well for the country, we should at best work to end this precedence. By law of nature, the south ought to have more population because all tends to move were there is water and green, if you observe the western countries bothering Nigeria, you will notice that their southern parts are more populated than their norths except Nigeria. But one can also argue that the north predominantly Muslims who by culture and religion encourages large extended families will amount to a large population.
My point, except we have a proper data base system, these problems will continue to linger sake for better technologies and policies to curtail this menace. well spoken bro but since this system is not in place now would you allow other regions to do same as North? |

It has been observed that the northerners are always fund of registering under age children and they even go the extent of registering even cows when it comes to election in Nigeria , and that is why they are in control of the country. My question now is that if others regions decide to follow suit by registering under age children and even goats, will the north still be in control of the country? . Share your views |
