Thank you so much for the response. I guess I will try for another country, so the appointment system isn't the same for all EU countries through VFS but only specific to the country being applied for. For example, if there's an appointment backlog with Switzerland, can there be an appointment date available with France? yp1files: There is pressure on schenghen countries for now. I guess its also because they are switching their entry processes. If you cant find for switzerland, maybe you should still try for france...tho be ready to wait for at least 30 days to get a reply. |

Hello everyone, Please, I need your experienced help.
I am applying for a Switzerland visa and I got to know there is no VFS appointment date in the next few months.
Please, how does this get handled? Does the date slot open up intermittently just like the US appointments, or is there any specific way to go about securing an appointment?
Your experienced responses are appreciated. |

Hello guys, I am new here. I am thinking of applying for a visitor visa to France. Please, what is the approval rate in the French embassy? Is it low or high? I know the US embassy has a very low approval rate. And also, is 3 million enough for the bank statement to be submitted I will apprecaite your input on this. Thanks |

Efetobore1980: ■ What do you mean by a shadow ban ? Even if nobody post success visa transcripts all through this year does that mean that people are not getting visas?
Dont judge Nigeria visa situation with Nairaland. A lot of people are just readers and learners on Nairaland who got vital visa information here. They went away equipped with success info , got their visas and disappeared. Some are self- centered who doesn't like to share their success stories.
B1/B2, F1 and F2 are still getting visas . True, but the level of visa denial last month is concerning. I belong to a ton of groups off Nairaland, and not one non-F1 applicant got approved, which is concerning. Do you know of any non-fully funded F1 approvals in the month of September? Do you know of any F2 or B1/B2 approvals in September? even if it's just one? |

Hello guys, I think there might be a shadow ban on Nigeria by the embassy (my opinion).
I noticed that all through the month of September, I did not hear of a single non-F1 approval; the only F1 that seems to get approved were fully funded last month (September). Does anyone know of any Non-F1 approvals last month? (September). Like do you know or hear of any F2 approvals last month? I hope there's no blanket ban on us? |

Any update about how this went? Did they call, and did you attend the in person? Dixoxoxo: Hi guys, after waiting since April 3rd my status changed to refused this afternoon. Can anyone give me any advise on how to go about this? I am guessing that I would have to go for a physical interview. If anyone can tell me the timeline it took for them to go for an interview after seeing this refused status. Did they return your passport or hold on to it? Did it take a week or two weeks? Did they call or email? Any info will be appreciated. Also submitted in Lagos. |

Hi Mary, Any update yet? I am also in the same shoe. NotsonewMary: Hi all,
Has anyone who submitted an IW application in recent time, particularly at the Lagos embassy been approved?
I’m asking because it seems the wait time in Lagos has been elongated. My mum’s application still says “application received” and it’s been almost 3 weeks now since it was submitted.
Does anyone have an inkling on what might be going on? Has the process changed? Are they considering scrapping IW Dropbox or something? |

@AdisaMighty, Can you weigh in on the similar post above? Did they call your US phone number or Nigerian number Also I sent you an email and would like to talk to you AdisaMighty: Keep your phone close to you always, they might call. If you are a man of faith, pray about it. I got a call on the first day of my fasting and praying (9 days after refusal) |
