The rule is the rule, keep emotion aside, Senegal guffed by walking off the pitch like they were playing some secondary school competition(Principals Cup), the rule is that if 5 players of the same team are off the pitch the referee will close the match in favour of the other team, in fact the ref should have close the match that day after they walked off the pitch, there shouldn’t have been any continuation because it made mockery of the rules guiding football.

Even though I didn’t like Morocco’s unjust favoritism through out the tournament and I was really routing for Senegal to win but there should be consequences for actions for deterrence .

Kudos to federal porch where the fund is coming out. The state governor get *³ of what they are getting before.
And Dollar is X 4 of what it used to be and most of the significant project are awarded in dollars because most of the materials are imported and bought in dollars, you see that is the angle some people have ignorantly or purposely refused to acknowledge.

And for me is not all about the money, well informed, initiative and commitment is very vital because some states rakes in more money and very little to show for it.

I think currently the East has the best set of governors over time, there is this healthy competition among this set of Eastern governors on all indices of development and of course most of them are distinguished career intellectuals maybe except one

I just wish that atleast a standard gauge Rail transportation can be constructed connecting the whole of the East, including port harcourt and Delta state, it’s going to be a boom 💥

This seems to be the reality on ground, Nigeria is in dire need of leadership not politicking, because I don’t understand how people who are just one year in office instead of strategizing on how to secure their citizens and better their lives through favorable policies, instead they start strategizing for the next election/second tenure when you are not even half way to the one giving to you.

Is the Masses even ready for good governance? When tribe and religion, zoning and not zoning takes eminence over integrity, competence and capacity.

Every body chooses the kind of entertainment he or she likes, I have heard people say how can grown up people sit down and watch other people running around one round thing and say they are enjoying it, so such is live.

Do what makes you happy and leave others do theirs, that you don’t do what others do does not make you the smartest or the most hard working.

In as much as anybody choice does not harm you or others, live and let live

PoliticsCustoms Officers Decry Unpaid 2023 General Election Allowance by CJERRYEMILEX(op): 7:43pm On Sep 28, 2024
28th September 2024
Personnel of the Nigerian Customs deployed for the 2023 general elections have decried the non-payment of allowances due to them.

The 2023 general elections were held on February 25 for the presidential and National Assembly elections, while the governorship and state assembly elections were conducted in March.

According to sources, a total of 3,138 Custom officers were deployed for election duties to complement the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in 2023.

Over a year later, some of the personnel, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to talk to journalists, said they had yet to be receive their allowances.
One of the personnel stated that the delay in paying them their due allowance amounted to wickedness.

The source said, “For over a year now, we have not been paid our allowances for being deployed for election duties during the 2023 general elections. Let them know it is wickedness for many of us to go through that kind of stress and not be paid our money. I know what I went through where I was posted. Anybody who has sat on our money should release it.”

Another personnel stated that it was unfair for them to still be owed while other security agents had already been paid their allowances.
“It is very unfair to owe us and not say anything about it. Our colleagues in other agencies have forgotten they have been paid their allowances. I still find it very hard to believe why ours have not arrived. Please help us tell them to pay our money,” the personnel lamented.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Customs Service, Abdullahi Maiwada, directed our correspondent to check his records regarding who was responsible for paying election duty allowances.

He stated, “Go and get your records very right; the Nigeria Customs does not pay and is not responsible for the payment of election duty allowances. Secondly, go and find out who is responsible for the payment of election duty allowances. The fact that I said we are not responsible for payment. How can you sit on what does not exist?”

When asked what efforts had been made to ensure the personnel were paid, given that they were deployed by the NCS, he told our correspondent not to expand the scope of his question, as he had already answered the earlier one.

He said, “You are trying to expand the scope of your question; can we just stay within the confines of the question you have asked, which I have answered?”

Our correspondent insisted that the personnel were deployed by the NCS and that the service had a duty to help them get their money. In response, he said, “Whatever we are doing is not meant for public consumption.”

PoliticsRe: Strike: NLC Replies Akpabio Over ‘Economic Sabotage" Comment by CJERRYEMILEX(m):
The political class are the real sabotage of this country

I don’t know if I should say that some of our leaders are been so insensitive to the plight of their people, if you check the politicians budgets they have increased it to 200%, some 300% and above of what it was because of the current situation, then you see this same people adding little to the workers and I ask are the workers lesser human beings than them and their families, is it not in the same economy that they are?

The allocation of the Governors have increased tremendously they have no reason not to pay the minimum wage, so NLC should insure that mechanism is put in place to make them pay simultaneously after it has been passed let it not be left for them to go and deliberate, every deliberation should be done now, after all there is nothing special between FG workers and their counterparts in the States and LG’s just privilege.
NLC also should be reasonable and realistic with their demands.

PoliticsRe: Are Customs Officers Who Steal From Smugglers Senior Criminals? - Fisayo Soyombo by CJERRYEMILEX(m):
In as much as criminality of any kind should not be supported but we should be careful of spreading unverified propaganda without any concrete evidence, those officers are human beings and have families, you don’t sit at the comfort of your home or even far away from the shores of the country and write anything just because you can write and ruin the reputation of others.

Custom officers are attacked and killed on regular bases by smugglers who carry sophisticated weapons and this smugglers are some times the locals from the border communities but you can’t see them report this incidents but when customs officers engage them, because of the sophisticate weapons they carry you will see those locals with encouragement from some press crying blue murder and if the officers reluctantly leave some of this smugglers because of the casualty it may result you will see the same press raising all kinds of unsubstantiated allegations, what then should these men do, there is a lot going on behind the scene, no body wants to die and leave behind helpless families and love ones, we should not allow people to manipulate us with unverified allegations just because they can put English alphabets together.

On another thought is it compulsory that customs officers/government workers must live in penury, let’s not forget that some people already are from very wealthy homes that have access to other funds other than their salaries and some have had opportunities to invest in something that is heavily profiting them.

Let us not be unfair to our security agents that are paying the supreme price in other to secure us.

This same individual alleging all these things have been invited by the police multiple times to come with proves he has been on the run hence him been declared wanted by the police.
