EducationFG To ASUU: Respect Court Order And Return To Work — This Is Lawlessness! by clabo(op): 2:55pm On Oct 08, 2022
The Federal Government has warned the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) against ignoring the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) order to call off its industrial action.

Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, stated that the union is misleading Nigerians with its claim of filing an appeal against the order.

He called on the union to respect the court and return to work, while negotiations are concluded on the remaining issues in contention.

The minister spoke on Sunday in a statement signed by Olajide Oshundun, deputy director, press and public relations, ministry of labour and employment.

“The union is dishonest and misleading its members and the general public, that it has filed an appeal as well as a stay of execution of the order of NICN on September 2, though it has none of this,” he said.

“Rather, ASUU only filed an application for a permission to appeal the order. It also attached to the application, a proposed notice of appeal which it intends to file if the leave to appeal is granted.

“The application for a stay of execution as of this moment has not even been listed for hearing. Where then is ASUU coming from?

“It is therefore contemptuous, dishonest and misleading for the union to tell its members that it has not only appealed the interlocutory injunction by the NICN, directing it to call off strike and return to work but that it also has a stay of execution.”

EducationConcerns Over Extension, Validity Of UTME Results by clabo(op): 2:34pm On Sep 21, 2022
Nigeria federal lawmakers have indicated interest to consider extending the validity period of results issued by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for admission into institutions of higher learning in the country.

The amendment to the JAMB Act 2021, which was sponsored by Tolulope Shadipe, a member of the House of Representatives from Oyo state, passed second reading last month, citing the financial burden the services of the board impose on parents and students as reasons for the amendment.

The legislation titled, ‘A bill for an Act to amend the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (Establishment, Etc.) Act, 2021, and other related matters,’ is also seeking to address the tenure of the registrar and membership of the board, among others.

In Nigeria, millions of candidates participate in the test yearly to be qualified to study in higher institutions of their choice. The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is usually taken at the end of Senior Secondary School.

RomanceMe And Mrs. B by clabo(op): 10:30am On Sep 13, 2022
Mrs. B. was a great teacher for 10th grade English. Funny, engaging, personable—and a bit flirty. She was in her late-20s, just a couple years out of The University of Michigan, cute, nice body and flaming red hair that cascaded over her shoulders and down her back. She knew the boys all lusted after her and she did nothing to discourage our interest. Students even gave her a nickname, “Bubbles.” The administration was not pleased, but Mrs. B. didn’t seem to mind. She liked the attention. Oh, and I think that we actually learned a lot of English Lit between the horsing around.

This was many years ago, back when teachers could lay an encouraging hand on a student’s shoulder without being labeled a sex offender. Teachers could sit close by a student to help them with a hard concept, and no one thought anything of it. The boys flirted back with Mrs. B. and the girls got valuable lessons in how to attract boys’ attention and drive them crazy. It was fun. And, Mrs. B was married with a couple of young kids, not that it mattered. It was all just innocent fun.

I had the worst crush on Mrs. B. It was in her class that I learned that I have a fatal weakness for redheads. I loved to watch her move through the room. She wore skirts and dresses that were too short for female students, but no one complained. It’s just who she was. She had lovely legs, no reason not to let the world see them. When she wore pants (they were just recently allowed), they were skintight, revealing a cute tight little ass. Tops were also tight, often with some cleavage showing between her pretty B-cup breasts.

Being a Hot 15-year-old (almost 16!) with a bad crush I tried to hang around Mrs. B. as much as possible. I went to her office for help with assignments when I didn’t really need it. I took every opportunity to touch her arm to get her attention or sometimes give her a friendly squeeze or hug. She always reciprocated with a smile. I imagined she enjoyed my company.

RomanceVicar's Wife Asked A Favour by clabo(op): 9:22am On Sep 08, 2022
Today the sun shone, it shone bright and hot and I had a simple task clear out a cupboard in the local community hall. The ask for help was so simple any idiot could cope with it...

"Just help me empty the green cupboard, check it and take it to the tip." Asked the vicar's wife very nicely.

I've been using the hall for a number of years, it started with my daughter attending dance lessons every Saturday morning, being the only man in the circle it took a while to get to know some of the mums but my daughter made friends with another girl and suddenly I found I was chatting to her mother, after that I seemed to have become an honorary mum and became part of the group.

Several of the mums were members of the 'Mothers and Babies Club' and regularly took part in a quiz planned for a few weeks later, looking for another to make up a team of eight I became a member of 'Saturday Dance Mums'. Now I've taken part in a number of quizzes over the years and at the age of twenty-five I don't think I do too badly, I held my own and with the brainstorming on our table we came a very respectable third place and only seven points behind the leaders.

However throughout the evening there had been constant calls to the quiz mistress that we couldn't hear her, after the prizes had been awarded and we were packing up our group of eight arrived at the conclusion that I Terry would be able to do the job better. How that was established I have no idea, it most certainly didn't com from my lips. VIDEO

He said ” It’s very very unfortunate. The problem I have is, if you are my friend – my real friend – and we have a disagreement, most likely two of us will not be telling people the actual reason we disagreed.

On January 10, 2022, Uganda reopened its schools to some 15 million students, ending 83 weeks of school closure—the longest of any country during the COVID-19 pandemic. While many students are no doubt overjoyed at returning to school for the first time since March 2020, sadly most received no virtual or remote learning assistance during the prolonged closures.

But lost education is not the only casualty created by the pandemic and ensuing lockdowns. A “shadow pandemic” has emerged in a number of countries across the globe: sexual violence and exploitation of women and girls, resulting in thousands of teen pregnancies in Uganda alone. for more

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has accused Labour and Employment Minister Chris Ngige of misinforming President Muhammadu Buhari on its ongoing strike.

ASUU said Buhari would not have made his Monday ”Enough is enough” comment on the strike if he had been briefed on the outcomes of negotiation by the Ministry of Education.

The union said it was not aware of the sum circulating in the public as the amount needed to resolve the strike, which began on February 14.

While receiving some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors, legislators and political leaders at his residence in Daura, Katsina State, the President lamented that the strike would have “generational consequences on families, the educational system and future development of the country.”

He called on well-meaning Nigerians, particularly those close to ASUU leaders to intervene by persuading them to reconsider their position.

ASUU wants the government to adopt the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) as a payment platform for its members and implement the renegotiated 2009 agreement as conditions for ending the strike. more
