Even if they succeed in removing the CJ, do they have power to appoint an acting CJ or substantial CJ? Only the state governors have such power.

Well, I think it is high time Ogun State is shared and distributed to the five other Southwest States. It is time the Federal Government takes a proactive step. Let Lagos State take some parts, give some to Oyo State and the rest given to Osun and Ondo. The atrocities are just too many every day. Haba, is the Devil have an office there?

Not been following the Osun saga much.

From what I understand, the APC local government chairmen will finish their term in October, 2025, just 8 moths from now.

Why not let them finish and hold a new election which the Governor's own people will almost certainly win, as is usually the case with local elections.

Also, once the Attorney General of the federal advised on his own interpretation of the Court of Appeal judgment, the Governor should have cooled things down.

The current Attorney General was very quick to heavily criticise the Edo State APC Governor for trying to get rid of PDP local government Chairman.

He seems like a fair Attorney General.

Unfortunately, the Attorney general technically avoided the extant and substiting judgment in favour the APP, which sacked all the 30 LG chairmen. The APC also lost the appel and I want to believe the Attorney general was aware of it. You will never hear him saying anything on that particular judgement.

Is the Appeal Court judgement the final? Are you saying someone who contested a governorship election and lost can lay claim to the office of the governor because he won at the tribunal and subsequently won at the Appeal Court? So because he got a favourable order at the court of Appeal, the next thing for him is just to wake up and go to the government house? Won't he wait for the last court of the land to make it own pronouncement? Is that not the MADNESS some people are displaying, to the extent of toying with human lives.

The only thing I want to say here is that I have always said it on Nairaland that we have one of the most watertight electoral systems in the world and you cannot rig in Nigeria without leaving evidence. So stop bashing INEC. If you were truly rigged there will be evidence. Either via the EC8 forms of which every party agent and the police have a copy of the original or BVAS.

Anyone who loses and election and cannot prove it in court is lying. Anyone telling you about irev is lying. INEC does not use IREV to count votes.


If you cannot prove you won in court it is because you actually lost. I keep saying there is a reason Atiku and Obi disrupted the announcement before they finished and made no effort to prove rigging in court instead attempting to disqualify…..because they have live situation rooms and are collaring results even before INECso even before the INEC announcements they knew they lost!


The reason politicians go to court even when they know they lost is because if they admit they lost they may lose the confidence of their gullible supporters to win the next election. So they go to court to sustain the impression they were rigged and when they lose they lambast the judiciary plus the need to remain in the news and not be forgotten.


EDIT: Note to the many imb3ciles that have been mentioning me with their usual uneducated village 1d1ot comments, I did not say there is no rigging but you cannot rig in Nigeria without leaving evidence of the rigging.

Parties and the police have copies of the original. If you snatch ballot boxes or otherwise disrupt elections and the votes in that Pu will make a difference the election will be held again amid tight security.
