This design is wrong. Vt directly facing the living room? Bedroom opens directly into the dining that is that small, where will the dini table be placed? You will spend thrice on the plumbing and future problems cannot be easily rectified. Get a better design pls, see my profile for contact no.
Thank you, I'll talk to the person that designed it.

TravelRe: Please, I Need An Urgent Advice On Relocating To UK by Classicalife(op): 8:54pm On May 29, 2022

Let your wife apply for the UK caregiver work permit... she can travel along with you and the kids when she meet the requirements...

The requirements are pretty straightforward and I believe you can assist her to get it done...

She will be able to work full time in the UK, while you continue with your remote job... but hav it in mind, your income is too small as the man of the house in a country like the UK... so you may have to get an overnight job to balance things up in the house....
Noted with thanks!

Your freelancing and a little part-time job likely cannot provide a viable income in the UK. Moving your family abroad without a clear path to a decent living could have you on public assistance. That's literally a good chunk of immigrants' reality. And some of these places they live are filled with crime and dysfunction that can easily victimize your child. Some of these kids end up in gangs purely out of fear of the neighborhood. They want protection, but then they end up committing major crimes. Some of them have other problems, e.g. poverty and lack of stability interfering in education, depression, bullying, and classism combined with racism. Some of them turn to crime and drugs as a "solution" for these problems.

I'm just being real.

However, there are plenty of success stories despite very humble beginnings. So, hey, you never know.
Thank you for your input. Sure, I can't just venture into traveling abroad. However, you should have stated it in a clear context instead of saying, "visiting my kids in prison."

Cousin9999:
Well, study for a medical profession because the freelancing won't cut it in the UK. You may end up on a council estate, and visiting your kids in prison.
I don't understand this part please, shed more light on it.

I won't say much, but if I were in your shoe I will move. Your wife can be the main applicant then you & your kids will be the Dependants. Search for the thread in the screenshot below and read it, just 4pages. Your scenarios are almost thesame, he was working remotely in Nigeria before moving, got to England (on student visa) and still working with bigger pay ... Goodluck with your choice
By the way, I am a fullstack developer & I am open to remote jobs & hopefully travel out too
Thanks for your input. I wish you the best in your endeavours.

Cousin9999:
Your freelancing money goes a lot further in Nigeria and other African nations.

If you want to move countries, it would be better to consider countries nearby.

But really, you're doing so well, why move and why throw the money away? You could start a bunch of businesses, build rental properties, or just grow what you're doing. You may eventually be getting a decent American salary while living in Nigeria! Do you realize how good that is?
I just want to pursue it for my children's future. Thank you!

..remember a bird in hand is worth more than many in the bush.... 600k is a fair deal....u even made 1M ...

however...people are leaving for their kids because they dont want them to grow up in the horrible nigeria system...since you are on remote...u can always relocate and continue your remote...nothing concern uk government with your online job that you are already earning in your nigerian account ...

If you decide to go...let your wife apply for the student route to uk..u be the dependent so that you can be flexible and keep earning your money ..
I want to simply pursue this because of my kids. My wife is a dropout but she's doing pretty well in her business.

Thank you!

Go to the UK, since your job is s
Strictly online; work hour restriction does not affect you.

Discuss the issue at length with your wife weighing all your options together before you make your decision
Thank you!

if you work online then wherever you are in the world is irrelevant....but just so you know, living in the UK with $1K is not doable for a family of 4. you will need to make at least double as that for your family to remotely be able to survive in a city like London.
600K in Nigeria for a family of 4, you can consider yourself rich, in the UK, you can consider yourself poor!
pls let us know how you intend to study and work 35hs a week too?

by the way, are you Charles009 with the below thread (you story is exactly the same):
https://www.nairaland.com/7141606/should-leave-job-japa-uk
My brother earlier told me that, "I will not stay in London." I'm not Charles009 but his story (I referenced it at the beginning) prompted me to seek an advice here hiding my identity.

Brotherly, I dey feel your comments then on Agritech thread when it was booming but you ran away suddenly. Lol

Thank you for your input.
TravelPlease, I Need An Urgent Advice On Relocating To UK by Classicalife(op):
Please note; I'm using this new account to hide my identity.

This thread forced me to seek for an advice here; https://www.nairaland.com/7141606/should-leave-job-japa-uk

Let me establish some facts (Not a show-off please):
1. I have a wife and 2 kids (Married).
2. I am a freelancer, I'm also working online with an American startup firm (they gave me the liberty to continue with my freelancing).
3. I make from N600k upward on a monthly basis. I made 1M in April.
4. I just acquired a landed property (No land grabber issue).

To start with, my elder brother is in the UK, he advised/invited me to come to the UK with my family using the student route. Meanwhile, he is not aware of my achievements here in Nigeria and he doesn't know where I'm currently working. He assumed I'm still working in my previous place of work (I didn't tell him either).

Personally, I don't like to be a liability nor a burden to anyone and I like to be independent. I know being a postgraduate student in the UK comes with some rules/restrictions such as the number of hours I could work during the programme (perhaps 20hrs max; I'm currently on 35hrs/week with the US firm hoping to increase it to 40hrs).

Now, this is where I need a very honest advice from the good people of Nairaland. Should I go to the UK or stay back in Nigeria with my family?

Thank you so much for your time and advice.

lalasticlala, Seun, and Mynd44. Please, help me take this to the front page for more inputs. Thanks!
