A refurbished electronics is one that has been repackaged by for sale after the product has been returned or exchanged after its initial purchase/damage. Example of a refurb electronic is where perhaps an item had a bad circuit board, or the glass face on a music player got scratched and it's been replaced, but in some cases, a refurbished item may have had its packaging damaged badly in the process of getting it to the store. The item inside may be just fine, but the retailer may have decided to send it back for repackaging. Or it's possible that the shipping box could be opened and retaped. For Apple products, refurbished devices have usually been repaired by Apple technicians, and some of these devices may even contain replacement parts if they had been previously defective. Although refurbished phones are certified by Apple to be fully functional and operational, some iPhone vendors or sellers may not be able to determine if a particular iPhone is refurbished. To identify a refurbished iPhone, you can examine the iPhone's packaging and review the device's serial number to determine the manufacturing date. To do this, look for an "Apple Certified" seal on the packaging. This seal indicates that the iPhone has undergone testing and the refurbishment process by Apple-certified technicians. Examine the iPhone's box and packaging. Refurbished iPhones will usually be sold in all-white boxes or packaging. Locate the serial number of the iPhone and examine the iPhone's serial number.Determine if the first digit of the serial number is "5." If the device has been refurbished and is "Apple Certified," then Apple will modify the serial number to begin with the number "5." In some other electronics I know refurbished items' serial number starts with an 'R' in the beginning of the serial number. It is grossly unethical, deceitful, misrepresentating and criminal to sell an item as new when it has been refurbished. |
iscom: For those that are complaining about the phone, I didn't see any reason why you should complained about the phone. Best budget phone in the market for now. Check out these ;would you provide support/after sales service for these toys or I will have to travel to china to fix it if it develops fault? That gives the i-Zero a major plus. Don't you think so? |
seyesworld: Pls I would like to sell my infinx zero 16gb, @20k. Call me on 08026956192.you guys have started selling already just within weeks of the release. Its like marriage you rush in and rush out like a flush. Battery should be the selling point for every mobile device, esp in Nigeria. Who advised the Infinix to use a 1950mAh battery on a 5inch display with 720x1080 resolution in a late 2014 device Even their developers allowed this phone to be pushed into the market without a 2G/2G-3G/3G switcher Why wouldn't the battery get drained in less than 5hrs![]() |
Still waiting |
Any idea or company that can handle this please. |
Hi peeps, Please I need your advice/services if you offer one. A Hummer 2 2004 model was stolen and was subsequently recovered without the lock/unlock remote control sometime last month. Now, we want to disable that stolen remote control to ensure the criminals don't come back to use that remote on the vehicle again. We are also looking at purchasing and installing a new remote control. Please help with your advise. Thanks |
MizTyna: I've been having network issues, hope to send the vcodes soonI need the 2GB version. |
nenergy: I am disappointed in Infinix. Designed in France my foot! They (some crooked staff) are hoarding the devices. How can it be distributed exclusively by Konga , yet people are getting it without pre-order at micro-station for 23k. mtchew! I'm ashamed of myself.... fretting over something I'm going to pay with my money.Take it easy, thats normal for some OEM who do not have a defined chain of distribution. They chose this biz model with konga to cut off middlemen so you can get it at 21k. Xiaomi, thl, etc in the china face similar issues. Even at 23k, its a good bargain+value for money+after sales support which you won't find anywhere in Nigeria. I want the gold 2GB Ram version for review and personal use but I read I can only get it with a code. If only MyzTina would oblige me with a code so I can get it as soon as possible. |
You experience all these when you over fork Android. Ask my folks at XDA and CM, they will tell you more. |
yinxfun: Some people shaaaa... They fail to realize de bunch of average phone users who doesn't give a damn about all those stupid extra details in which all these Tech crazed fellas dwell unnecessarily on..... Forgetting completely about de price for this machine in de light of all what de phone is offering compared to de other exorbitant parties that also serve almost same functionTech cray fellas are on this forum to provide more information about the device for better decision making on both the OEM and users' angle, they are also telling you that there is a middleman exploit inherent in some Android OS versions including the one this phone is using and Google has patched that in a security update and you're here calling them tech cray fellas Considering the fact that most Nigerians are now adopting mobile payment option provided by their banks, don't you think that they deserve and there is need to ensure a certain standard of security for Nigerians? Go ahead and continue calling names when forum members provide insight. ![]() |
labellat: no commentReal life performance always show a very wide difference from benchmark results. Secondly, those devices listed in the Aututu score are nowhere around 25,000. This is a N20,900 device. So, in summary the benchmark comparison is disproportionate to the class of the device. My only reservations about this device are the issues of update or the OS version they come with preinstalled and the WCDMA band. The first reservation will not be discussed here as this may have the tendency to affect the commercial interest of the OEM. On the second observation, it is stated to be 850/2100 WCDMA band and I don't know if this is correct. Maybe MizTyna may want to help us ask the OEM to clarify this. Undoubtedly, it will work here in Nigeria. However, considering the fact that the GSM operators in Nigeria hardly meet customers satisfaction especially in data services and usually opt for framing the 900 for WCDMA, users of this device and similar devices with same band may encounter drop 3G signals in areas where there is no WCDMA 2100. |

U.K.-based Malloy Aeronautics is preparing to test a manned quadcopter capable of out-maneuvering a helicopter and presenting a new paradigm for aerial vehicles. A 1/3-sized scale model is already gaining popularity with drone enthusiasts. Watch the video to see how it works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0okX_vmL3w

I think Blackberry devices with OS7 and eearlier OSes should be distinguished from Blackberry 10 devices. The later still suffers from similar shrinked data bandwidth. Secondly, BB works in partnership with Telcos, sometimes pay Telcos for services. Lastly, BB has a data compression and encryption tech on their servers which cuts down data consumption. Android is the best mobile OS in the history of mobile phone. The rate of adoption and absorption far exceeded the Symbian and iOS put together. The Android L version will pave the way for a new era of mobile devices OS. |
oluwasegunfummi: "we yorubas are sadist and the problem of nigeria" this has confirmed my statement........eko o ni baje oooMy boss from the same tribe has been saying this for a long time now. |
Too bad they always succeed inflicting conflicts among the people of Africa and our so called leaders do not have this insight. The people are busy fighting the assumed enemy within and themselves instead of the external evils. Our leaders are clueless, degenerated in ideas and our people are already disenchanted and don't even know what steps to take. Do we really know what has befall us in this country? I just thought we may also want to read this - http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-ebola-virus-pandemic-a-weapon-of-mass-destruction/5394976 Global Research Canada describing the EHV as “A Weapon of Mass Destruction”. |
