I remember when i was applying for my study permit 3 years ago. I would always come to this thread to get valuable information that helped me to eventually apply on my own and get approved.

Back then, you would always see PPR stories and timelines almost weekly and people would share what they did to get approved, what dates they applied and what dates they received updates, what documents they submitted. This thread was very informative.

Today, there’s no PPR stories anymore, i scrolled as far back as i could and found nothing. There’s no valuable information anymore. It’s just this “amnotapervert” guy and a bunch of others always arguing about who’s in Canada and who’s not. Arguing about irrelevant things, spamming and flooding this thread.

Bottom line is, this forum has gone to shi+.

I hope one day i’ll come back here and see Application timelines,PPR and Canada landing stories, and other valuable information regarding study permit application.

Hello my people. Please,I submitted a group application for a family of 3 on January 30 , 2026. The only person that needed biometrics did it on February 5 or so . My self & hubby have been to Canada in the last 10 years. Aside the update on our biometrics, it appears nothing is being done on our application . It's going to 2 months now ..I thought they will use Can + for us .
Please, who else is experiencing this ..

Good Afternoon Great people. Please i need your help.
I applied for a Canada tourist visa for myself and my wife and we were unfortunately denied Visa. Reasons for denial is as follows :
" Applicant has failed to demonstrate the source of funds and
establish their source of income. Financial information is not supported with sufficient
documentation to support the account balance on file. I have concerns with the Applicant's
access to funds. I am not satisfied that the Applicant's assets and financial situation are sufficient
to support the stated purpose of travel"
Currently i Consult for 2 Oil servicing companies and my renumeration comes in 100% USD for one of them while the second comes in 60% USD and 40% naira. For the application, i submitted only the USD bank statement without a pay slip.
Please guys help me advise on why the visa was denied and if i can re apply immediately what are the right documents to add.

Please I don’t know if anyone here can be of help, An agent helped apply for Canada visiting visa in 2023,after 4month he forwarded a letter that I’ve been given the visa(I was going with my family). I sent my passport that was when I found out I was scammed, he ran away to UK. Now, I don’t know if anyone can help on how to know what really happened cos I did biometrics.
I want to reapply again myself, if anyone can help on how to know what happened to the last application cos the mail he used wasn’t mine.

Was it renewal? Because from your previous posts it seems you applied in 2024. Those that applied in December 2025 and January 2026 pls share your timeline.

ATTAHDYE:
1. Does she have a relative in Canada that she can visit ? If yes, let the relative send her an invitation letter and attach he permit (study, work, PR or Citizenship)

2. She can just apply as a tourist. In this case, she can book her flight itinery and make hotel reservation to cover the entire duration of her proposed stay.

Above all, know that the decision to approve or deny the application is in the hands of the Visa Officer.

Goodmorning! Thanks for your response. I am actually still in the process of getting her registered for a conference. She works as a Lab assistant, and i intend getting her registered in a conference that's related to her field. Pls, kindly help if you know of One. For question 2-4, i know about them, i have done both study and visitor Canadian Visa for people before. So, I know how to put together a strong SOP, and documentation for her application. Just that I have not done this conference thing before. For her monthly salary you asked, she receives 570k monthly bcs she works in a drilling company. I intend to get necessary documents from the company she works with, and get them notarized as well. I am looking at sponsoring her or better still, route the sponsorship through her company. I am yet to decide on this.

I have the job since 2023 . Officer confirmed employment details on file. Noc 42201 was just added to health care category in February/march 2025 that's 6-7 months ago and that was when the category changed to healthcare and social work from " healthcare".

Maybe you missed the point where the case analyst called the attention of the senior officer to "rule 9" on my previous TR ( don't miss it) Applications. Rule 9 mean someone who had gone to court in the past for judicial review.


FYI, 42201 isn't under health care but social work. You need to understand there's a difference between mental health support worker and mental health nurse or psychiatrist.

Immigration system is about law, it's not emotion. Maybe you know more than the rcic then. Lolz. I will update you on the application. I know more than 10 people that studied MBA and got their PR already with same job and they are still there cos the pay is good.


The screenshot shows the first pay on the job cause you assumed and spoke with confidence to call it arranged job. Lolz. Company that i sent cv almost every weeks for 16 months. You can see the average two weeks take home after tax. I earn 6 digits annually on that job. Canada isn't just about Ontario okay. Brampton doesn't represent the whole of the country. Applying to many of these embassy from Nigeria now seems like a total waste of time and money eg Canada, USA, Ireland, Germany and many more

What type of work permit is it — an open work permit or a closed work permit?
I am 100% sure the agent will not answer this question clearly.

Did the agent mention what job it is for?

Did your friend have any job interview?

Did the agent provide the LMIA number used to obtain the work permit?

What does the application number start with? Here’s an example of common prefixes:

Visitor: V123456789

Citizenship: C123456789

Work Permit: W993830598

Economic Class: E099977028

Remember, an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) is very much like the UK’s Certificate of Sponsorship (COS). The average illegal cost of obtaining an LMIA can be as high as $15,000 CAD.

Here’s the bitter truth:
Nigerian Facebook visa agents have been running a big business of selling fake work visa packages. In reality, many are just submitting visitor visa applications with falsified documents. This has caused many people to be banned from Canada — often without their knowledge — while jumping from one visa agent to another.

What your friend needs to ask the Facebook agent:

1. Who is the employer?

2. What is the LMIA number? (It’s a 7‑digit number, usually starting with an 8.)

3. Is the LMIA for an open work permit or a closed work permit?

4. What is the LMIA’s duration? Currently, it must be for 6 months, as the Government has stopped issuing 1‑year LMIA approvals for certain jobs.

If the agent lies or ignores these questions, that’s an immediate red flag.

Employer applies for LMIA ➔ Gets LMIA ➔ Gives LMIA + Job Offer to You ➔ You Apply for a Work Permit ➔ IRCC Approves ➔ You Get the 6 months Work Permit ➔ Travel and Begin Working in Canada

Please between UK and Germany which country is better to japa to. Canada denied me visit visa recently after I waited for so long, I am waiting for the GCMS note.

I have UK and Germany in mind as plan B.

My people applied April 24, using the old gckey portal and they got a response today even though it is refusal but it took 1 month for IRCC to process their application, so like someone said IRCC is treating applications just that refusal rate is high reason people haven't really been sharing their timelines as such
