barcanista:
[s]Hahaha @ OP abeg thank you. I see those pained and vile broom carriers moving from one of my thread to another to look for my attention. I will respond to them appropriately. They say I'm a begger, they again said I'm a mole and Jonathanian, later they said a babe made me leave.
Question is: how can a mole planted by "Reno" or Abati be a beggar at the same time? They are frustrated and confused that they say I lack ideology. To them ideology is when you remain in a camp of bitter people and behave like maloo to them. Ideology is when you remain despite bein insulted. Alas, ideology have got a new meaning.
Some say it's because I am Ijaw, but they forgot that I was also Ijaw when I was foolishly with them.
Some others say I'm a low-lifer, but thank God that they can't beat their chest to say "if not for me barcanista will be starving". Whether I'm worth N1 or N100 is irrelevant, as long as I work for it, I am honored. For I know that tomorrow will be better than today.

These "apc's" have gone out of ideas, barcanista will entertain their folly. They will never smell Àso Rock with this evil mindset.

[s]Ode state population are not made up of indigenous people alone. GEJ's votes in the north came from southerners and indigenous Christians. We have more southerners in the north compared to northerners in the south.

This is the reason GEJ will be winning 80-95% in the ss/se while Buhari will only win 60-70% in the north. Don't be deceived by the numbers. The votes in the north will be shared.

Lagos and kadunna are the most cosmopolitan states and I don't see any candidate securing up to 60% in any of these states

The same thing would be re-enacted next month. If you think the votes are allocated, you can jump into the lagoon when the results are announced[/s]
Mumu, quit using 2011 vote allocations to measure what will happen next month! Your ogogoro master has failed both the Christains and moslems in the North and South!

He will do well to win up to 10 States next month! Anu mpama!

[s]Ode during the last election what did the state voting population look like? Did GEJ win in the north during the last elections?

At least the PVC collection is somewhat balanced now compared to weeks ago.Another good justification for the poll shift[/s]
Mumu, he won some states and others they allocated huge figures to him which will Not happen Next month!

And to all the Igbos crying foul here, 60% of the cards lying idle in Inec's office belongs to the Igbos. Before you ask how I knw, I'm an adhoc staff, I even tried to check some people by their house address only to find out some people even registered with wrong addresses, cos the people you meet at the said address would say they've never seen the face before, or 'I know this girl, she always pass this palce every morning' I just had to give up. Pls go to the nearest Inec office to you, ur cards are still there, Jega would not come and give it to you on NL.

Politics › Nigeria 2015: 75 Percent Of Voters Given PVCs — INEC by Clerverly(op): 5:52pm On Feb 17, 2015
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said the number of registered voters who have collected their permanent voter cards now stands at 52, 233,396.

The figure, being the collection rate as of Tuesday, February 17, represents 75.88 percent of the 68,833476 registered voters.
The figure is a progress from 66 percent collection rate two weeks ago.
The electoral body made the revelation in a statement signed by Kayode Idowu, Chief Press Secretary to Attahiru Jega, the Chairman of the Commission.

According to the statement, Zamfara State has the highest collection rate, with 97 percent of the 1,495,717 voters, while Ogun State comes last. In Ogun, only 40.86 percent of the 1,829534 registered voters have collected their PVCs.
Others states, including Katsina, Jigawa, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Gombe States, also have over 90 percent collection rates.
In Lagos State, of the 5,905,852 registered voters, only 3,885322 have collected their cards, representing 62.40 percent collection rate.

Bauchi, Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, Kebbi and Sokoto States have surpassed 80 percent collection rate, the statement said.
In Bayelsa, Benue, Benue, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Oyo and Borno States, more than 60 percent of registered voters have also been given their cards.

The statement showed that many states have attained over 70 percent collection rate.
The states with over 70 percent collection rate include Abia, Anambra, Cross River, Delta, Enugu, Kano, Kogi and Kwara States.
Others are Yobe, Ondo, Osun, Rivers and Plateau States.

In Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, 541,359 voters have had their cards, representing 61.42 percent of the 881,472 registered voters.

Politics › PDP Reps Rise Against Rejection Of INEC Card Readers by Clerverly(op): 5:13pm On Feb 17, 2015
An attempt by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to rally the support of its members in the House of Representatives to endorse the rejection of the use of the Card Readers and Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC met a brick wall last night as
the members outrightly rose against the idea.

According to sources at the meeting, no fewer than 100 members of the ruling party in the House of Representatives, who were summoned to a meeting in Abuja by the House Leader, Mulikat Akande and her deputy, Leo Ogor, insisted that they would not support any move that could truncate the nation’s democracy.

A member of the PDP from the South-South, who attended the meeting held in Apo, said members were aggrieved that the Presidency and the leadership of the PDP were trying to exploit them for selfish political gains after dumping them during its just-concluded primaries.

According to him, the members shouted down on the conveners of the meeting for trying to exploit them after denying most of them tickets to return to NASS, asking the House Leader to convey their displeasure to the Presidency and the PDP leadership over their refusal to assist them either politically or financially to pursue their ambitions.

According to the members, it was wrong for the party to seek their support for any cause after abandoning them to the whims and caprices of governors when they needed its support most during the primaries of the party last December.

“As soon as the issue of card readers and PVCs was mentioned by the conveners of the meeting, most of the members present rose against it and that was how the meeting ended in confusion,” the lawmaker said.

“None of us gave them any chance to even discuss much in the issue since we already knew where they were going. As far as we are concerned, it would be difficult for the PDP to get the kind of support it is looking for to discredit the elections, which the country spent a fortune to organise.

“How are we going to explain to the outside world that we, who spearheaded the electoral reforms and spent a lot of money to acquire the facilities to ensure a credible election and give Nigeria a good image will be the same trying to discredit the system?”, the member asked.
