In 2017, interviews/aptitude tests were not held till late July and the list came out early September. Most MSc scholars that year deferred till the following year while a few started in January (for the few programmes that have January start dates). So anything is still possible. Keep fingers crossed and pray.

What if what was sent to the presidency (Covid-19 PTF) as *kolladey* said was guidelines on how the interviews will be conducted, hoping that once The inter-state lockdown is called off the interview process can kick start for PhDs.

If this is the case, we can expect results and some can even resume this year.

Flights will begin to the Uk in August ( at least so Virgin Atlantic Said) France are already giving Visas, same is expected of Germany and the rest.

As always let’s just keep the faith and hope alive, it will end in praise

It is only the PhD scholarship that's been suspended. MSc list will be released in 2-3 weeks time. Mark my words.

Update from my contact person about the meeting held.
PTDF agreed at the meeting to proceed with the scholarship this year but they will have to get approval from the presidency.
Letter for the approval was sent yesterday.

I disagree that the possibility of cancellation of the scheme for this year is high - and this is based on the assumption that the management of the PTDF is sound enough.

Bear in mind that the primary essence of the PTDF is to upskill human capital in the Oil and Gas sector. Therefore, with the agency's inability to facilitate workshops and nurture relevant innovations due to travel and gathering restrictions, cancellation would communicate that the pandemic has rendered the agency redundant. If COVID19 then lasts longer than we expect, would it mean that the agency goes moribund for years? If yes, it strengthens the business case for the merger of the PTDF, PPPRA and PEF which has already been called for as that will serve to boost efficiency given that a then redundant PTDF should naturally not be eligible for any budgetary allocations.

So my take is that any right-thinking management would spare no effort to adapt the organisation to surfacing challenges and position it such that its relevance is not brought under any doubts. But anyway, this is Nigeria where apparent retrenchment of logic/reason in govt decisions is not uncommon. So again, my disagreement is based on an assumption of the "commonness" of common sense within the management of the agency.

Well Said, i trust PTDF to carry on with the process and publish the list.

You people should stop deceiving yourself. All those speculating the dates for the release of the results do not have their information from genuine source. They are only here to play with people emotions.

The List will surely be released and we would all begin our studies in September, Just keep faith.

I'm also CONFIDENTthat PTDF SHALL release MSc list by Monday 18th. While PhD interviews will be by Mid June to June ending. Their list will be out by July ending too. Thank you very much.
