HacheNoire:Do you know that just few years ago Singapore and Nigeria were both rated by the UN as developing economies but today people like you are being paid by a Nigerian political party to make a fuss about the Nigerian president going to Singapore for a visit. Why can’t our president be able to get the Singapore president to visit Nigeria. Our present president seems desperate to get international endorsement by other world leaders because during obasanjo and Jonathan era, we always get state visits by important world leaders and they equally invite our presidents then not this president arrangement of our president not even confident enough to attend important events like the UNGA held in the US because he is scared of being picked up for his past dealings. |

Tabithatim:It will never be well for the professor in practice, he wasted ebonyi state money in building a useless airport that only serves himself and the political elite in that state only because they can afford a private jet. Common sense should have let him know that the ebonyi state isn’t far from Enugu state which already has the most viable airport in the southeast and there is no need to waste taxpayers money in building a glorified hall which has no economic or security use to the state except to boost his personal ego and launder money. 5 Likes |

omenka:But what you wrote here isn’t true, Peter obi lives in onitsha anambra state till tomorrow even though he has business interests not just in Lagos but some other states in Nigeria moreover it’s almost impossible for a successful businessman in Nigeria not to have business dealings in Lagos bearing in mind its strategic advantages over other states in Nigeria and it’s not because Tinubu built Lagos but it’s always been so during the military rule and almost after Nigeria’s independence when it was made the nation’s capital. If you claim you haven’t heard Peter Obi’s plan for Nigeria then it’s either because you deliberately chose not to listen or you have a comprehension problem. Peter obi isn’t the cause of your frustration but the man who presently is your president. |

Noneroone:Building airport is one of the easiest way to siphon money by governors and that is why they all jostle to construct one even when glaringly they know it is not viable and a waste of resources. Even in USA as rich as they are not all states have an airport and some just have an airstrip. Some of the governors only construct airports and flyovers just for bragging right and don’t care where it leads to or economic value. The acclaimed professor doesn’t even care if the airport his predecessor built is functioning he is just desperate to be known as a governor that built an airport. 1 Like |

Xenophobia in South Africa arose because of the failures of the government in being accountable to the citizens. The discussion of whether the anger is really directed at the easiest scapegoats is another discussion but the citizens didn’t wait for government to dictate or influence there grouse. Can the same be said about our country where the most bizarre things happen by those in power and they go scot free because they have succeeded in keeping the citizens shut by instilling fears into them. |
