If I was to do 3D games it would be unity all the way. But with simple 2D games I can't imagine Unity would be better, Game Maker actually is really easy.

gimakon:
Python
C#
Boo
Learn graphics design
Move to unity3d or other game design engine.
Sell your idea to cap com or dreamworks or EA.
How do u make videos, like cartoon videos, any ideas?
Did you have any success with any of your games?

Sorry if this question is off topic. When did you publish the game to Playstore?

I published it around 2 November

Learn C# and move to Unity

Do you think that would be pretty easy if I'm familiar with java?

Hi! Has any of you tried creating you own game? (Mobile phone, computer, HTML etc). If so, what was your experience and what IDE did you use?

I'm still new to programming and right now I'm using Game Maker: Studio but plan to move on to a more versatile IDE when I get some more experience.

This is my very first game, so don't expect it to be perfect, it's what I could produce as a beginner.

And do you have any idea which platform or category that's most suitable for indie developers without a marketing budget? The "flappy bird" genre would be very hard for example since there are a vast amout of games in that genre.
