If you are applying to daad with three schools,
firstly you will complete each school application which must comprise of each motivation letter. E.g. school a (complete document + motivation letter) school b ( complete document + its motivation letter. School c ( complete document +its motivation)
But you are filling the same daad form for the three documents, it means you fill the daad form in three places since you are sending the documents to each school and not daad.
Is the school that will later nominate you for scholarship to daad.

That is why you must ensure you meet each school requirements first in other for them to nominate you to daad.

I'm applying to just one school (I hope that's not a disqualifying thing to do?). So, what I really want to know it's that as DAAD has its own question I should answer in ML and my school also has its own, while I apply, am I to just focus on the schools interest in ML or both? Then later when nominated, send another ML to DAAD that will cover their own interest?

I'm applying for DAAD EPOS and I'm not clear on how many Motivation Letters I'm to submit to the school I'm applying through.

The school requires a motivation letter for admission as well as the DAAD.

Please anyone here applying/applied? Please help out.
