It should be renamed Gulf of BOLA AHMED TINUBU, perhaps. We have Bay of Benin or something like that in our coastal areas. Let that one be renamed Bay of Tinubus. |

APC might rig at the tribunal again.
Asue needs something stronger than media campaign to win at the tribunal.... this government nor send anybody. APC might even lose at the Tribunal, but going all the way to the Supreme court they will find a way to win. |

Heffalump: Your analysis shows you're actually a senior man
However, you forgot to add the Hamza AL Mustapha's factor as a reason why Useni couldn't become president after the demise of Abacha. Hamza never liked Useni from the very beginning. Remember that Hamza was the CSO to Abacha, he disliked Useni for being too close to his Oga, and his greed for money. He saw Useni as an opportunist who will go any length with Abacha to get whatever he wants without necessarily passing through him as the CSO.
After Abacha's death, Hamza vowed that Useni will never succeed him. He personally called Abdulsalami Abubakar to accept succeeding Abacha or he, himself will mount the mantle of leadership instead of Useni. That his call was a sign of loyalty and respect to him. The Religion factor also played a crucial role in disqualifying Useni. They needed a Muslim of which, Useni was not. You are on point, particularly on the religious angle. The Northern power brokers and Establishment would never have agreed with the idea of an Useni from Plateau State to succeed Abacha. |

vanitybutiwanti: Let's break down the key players involved in the meeting between the President, the Minister and Fubara. It's clear that the meeting aimed to inform Ogoni stakeholders about the Federal Government's plan to resume oil exploration in their area.
On Governor Fubara's side, former Senator Lee Maeba was present, which is notable since Maeba didn't support or campaign for Fubara during his election. On the other hand, the Minister's team included several prominent figures, such as:
- *Former Senators*: Magnus Abe, Olaka Nwogu - *Current APC National Vice Chairman (SS)*: Victor Giadom - *Senate Committee Chairs*: Senator Barry Mpigi (Chairman, Senate Committee on Works and Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Host Communities) - *Former Minister*: Kenneth Kobani - *Other notable figures*: Chief Ejoor, Hon. Marcus Nnleji, and Honourable Fred Kpakol
Interestingly, the Ogoni elites seem to be rallying behind the FCT Minister, likely due to their ambition to secure the governorship seat in 2027. Given that they form the largest bloc in the governor's senatorial district, it's possible that if Fubara is removed, his replacement might come from the same district. Definitely, interesting times ahead. Market women permutations |
