European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › From Prison To Premier League Champion: The Tony Adams Story by CodedHustler(op): 7:21am On Oct 19
Not every football story is about talent — some are about redemption.

In December 1990, Tony Adams was 24 years old, Arsenal captain, England international, and leader of the famous Back Four. A hero in London.

One night after heavy drinking, he crashed his car into a wall. Police tested him and he was four times over the legal limit. The court didn't care that he was a star — he was sentenced to four months in Chelmsford Prison. He served 57 days.

The press wrote him off. "Finished player." "Drunk." Even some Arsenal fans doubted him.

But prison changed his life.

He came out, went to rehab, and admitted he was an alcoholic. George Graham kept faith and kept him as captain. Under Arsène Wenger, he quit drinking completely.

What happened after?

*1991* - Won the First Division title months after leaving prison
*1993* - Won the FA Cup and League Cup Double as captain
*1998* - Won the Premier League and FA Cup Double, scoring that famous left-foot volley vs Everton
*2002* - Won another Premier League and FA Cup Double as captain, then retired

From a prison cell to lifting the Premier League trophy. Four league titles as Arsenal captain. No other Arsenal captain has matched it till today.

Vieira had the skill, Henry had the goals, but for mental strength and leadership? Tony Adams is number one.

Question: If this happened in this era of social media, would Adams have survived the scandal or would cancel culture have ended his career?

Let's discuss.

You can click the link below to watch the full video about Tony Adams also don't forget to subscribe to the YouTube channel, like the video and comment if you think he's Arsenal's greatest captain.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › The Arsenal Captain Who Went To Prison And Still Won The Premier League by CodedHustler(op): 3:24pm On Oct 18
Many people no sabi say Tony Adams don go prison before.

December 1990, Arsenal captain, 24 years old, Highbury hero — police catch am for drink-driving, 4 times over limit. Court give am 4 months for Chelmsford prison. He serve 57 days.

Most players career for don end there. Media write am off, fans dey insult am.

But this guy come out, stop drinking, still remain captain, still lead Arsenal win league titles again in 91, 98 and 2002.

From jail to lifting EPL trophy. No be many footballers fit do am.

That na why I still say na him be Arsenal greatest captain — no be only football, na mental strength.

Wetin una think? Any other player don do this kind comeback?

Sports › From The Goal Of The Season To Suicide: The Forgotten Story Of Justin Fashanu by CodedHustler(op): 9:06am On Oct 17
Most people know John Fashanu. But his younger brother Justin was more talented.

In 1981, at 19, Justin Fashanu became Britain's first £1m black footballer. Nottingham Forest signed him. He won Goal of the Season vs Liverpool. Brian Clough said he could be anything.

Then his form dropped. And in 1990, he became the first active pro in England to come out as gay — front page of The Sun: "I AM GAY"

Everything collapsed after that.

His own brother John publicly said he would "fix" him. Clubs stopped calling. Fans chanted abuse. He went from Premier League to playing in America, coaching kids for $50 a week and sleeping in his car.

In 1998, after a false accusation in the US, he fled back to London. On May 2nd, 1998, he took his own life in Shoreditch. He was 37. He left a note saying he had already been presumed guilty.

For 30 years after him, no active Premier League player came out. Because they saw what happened to Justin.

I made a full video breakdown of his story on my YouTube — *Football Chronicles* — where every footballer has a story. Link in my profile.

RIP Justin Fashanu. 1961-1998.

Sports › He Was Britain's First £1m Black Footballer. Then He Came Out As Gay by CodedHustler(op): 12:59pm On Oct 16
You know John Fashanu — Wimbledon, Gladiators, big, loud, rich.

But most people don't know his younger brother, Justin.

Justin Fashanu was actually the bigger talent. In 1981, he became Britain's FIRST £1 million black footballer when Nottingham Forest signed him. Brian Clough called him better than anyone.

At 19, he scored Goal of the Season against Liverpool. The country loved him.

Then his career started to fall. Injuries. Loans. Clough abandoned him.

And in 1990, he did what NO active footballer had ever done — he came out as gay on the front page of The Sun. £300,000 headline: "£1m Football Star: I AM GAY"

What followed was hell.

The Sun paid him but then mocked him for years. Justin claimed he had affairs with MPs and big names — nobody believed him.

His own brother John publicly disowned him. Said: "My brother is not gay, he is just seeking attention. If he is gay, we can fix it."

His own mother? The black community in London turned their back. The white football crowd? Bananas on the pitch, chants: "Fashanu is a puff."

He went from Norwich hero to sleeping in his car in America, coaching kids soccer for $50 a week.

In 1998, a 17-year-old boy in Maryland accused him of sexual assault. Justin said it was consensual. He panicked and fled back to London. Police said they were not even going to arrest him, but he didn't know.

On May 2nd, 1998, he was found hanged in a garage in Shoreditch, London. He was 37.

He left a note: "I realised I have already been presumed guilty. I do not want to give any more embarrassment to my friends and family."

He was the first. And for 30 years, NO other active Premier League footballer came out after him — because they saw what happened to Justin.

His daughter Amal Fashanu (born before he came out) now runs The Justin Fashanu Foundation to fight homophobia in football. His niece said John Fashanu finally apologised years later.

Question for you: Was Justin Fashanu destroyed by England's homophobia? I want to hear your honest take.

Sports › He Was Britain's First Black £1M Footballer. Then Football Finished Him. by CodedHustler(op): 8:16am On Oct 15
Guys, I just finished research on a story that shook me.

Imagine this:

1981. England.

A young Black striker from Norwich is banging goals for fun. He scores a Goal of the Season that is still shown today. Big clubs come calling. He becomes the FIRST Black player in Britain to be sold for £1 million. At 20 years old.

Everybody said he is the future of English football.

Then Nottingham Forest buy him. That is where everything scatter.

His manager at that time was the most feared manager in England. A legend. But he did not like his lifestyle. He started benching him. Openly insulting him in dressing room. Telling him he will never make it.

The boy's form dropped. Confidence gone.

But that was not the worst part.

He was secretly gay in a sport where nobody had ever come out before. Not one player. In 1990, a newspaper forced him to come out. He became the first openly gay male professional footballer in Britain.

Omo, hell broke loose.

- His own blood brother, also a big England striker, publicly disowned him. Said he should not have come out.
- Tabloids were hunting him for stories every week.
- Fans in stadiums were chanting abusive songs.
- FA and PFA did NOTHING. No protection. No support.

From £1 million man, he started dropping - smaller clubs, US, Canada, Sweden, just to play football in peace. But the press followed him everywhere.

In 1998, after false accusations in America (police later said no case to answer), he took his own life in London. He was 37.

Before he died, he wrote: "I realised that I had already been presumed guilty."

Until today, he remains the only top-flight English male player who was openly gay WHILE playing.

No statue. No real apology from the game.

Was it football that killed his career, or was it society that was not ready? And if this happened today with Premier League money and social media, would it be different?*

Let's discuss honestly. No homophobic insults please, just football and life.

Sports › He Was Betrayed By His Teammates: The Story Of Nigeria Greatest Striker by CodedHustler(op): 10:21am On Oct 14
Guys, I just finished a documentary on Rashidi Yekini, our legendary Super Eagles striker.

This man scored 37 goals for Nigeria. First Nigerian to score in a World Cup in 1994. African Footballer of the Year 1993. He gave us so many memories.

But his ending was so sad.

After retirement, he was isolated. He was dealing with mental health issues, bipolar and depression. His houses in Ibadan were left to rot. People said he was acting strange, but nobody really helped him.

He died in 2012, alone. And till today, there is still controversy about how he died.

In my new video, I covered:
- His rise from Kaduna to Portugal
- That iconic 1994 goal celebration against Bulgaria
- How he made millions but lost everything
- The real cause of his death and abandonment
- What Nigerian football has learned (or not learned)
