More than 200 people have been killed in a mine collapse in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, rebel authorities have said. The mine, in the town of Rubaya, gave way on Wednesday due to heavy rains, Lumumba Kambere Muyisa, spokesman for the North Kivu region's rebel governor, told reporters. At the time, the death toll remained unclear. Women and children were among those mining coltan - a mineral used to manufacture electronics such as smartphones and computers - at the time. A former supervisor of the mine told the BBC the site was not properly maintained, making accidents more likely and hampering rescue efforts when they occur. 2tpick:to me, it remains a misplaced priority not because it is entirely a bad idea but a luxurious one too heavy for the current Nigeria to shoulder. Three wide lanes on each side when housing deficit is undeniable. Hmmmmm. |
Originalsly:overhead bridges of course. They will be happy about that. That something finally passes through their community. Electricity must go hand in hand with the highway. |
Moroccoguy:is it up to 10% combined from all ends? Hmmm 2.5years out of a possible 8. Just as i had suspected. |
The other day one was expressing her willingness to go to Pakistan of all places. I was wondering if the omo alfa of a girl knows how tough n crooked Pakistan is. It is a Nigeria beside india where she cannot favourably compete. |
Is the road 10% complete? I doubt ooo |
lawani:and collect resource proceeds within their countries too. |
No northern candidate more honest than Ganduje or less radical than El Rufai. |
Not 360 boreholes or blackboards? Wooow. |
Foreign reserve is like the foreign currencies a man with foreign needs maintains to cover his immediate needs for 6-12 months window. He could have a robust foreign reserve but be in so much foreign debt that makes a mockery of that reserve. He could also be in possession of so much unproductive assets and engage unproductice/wasteful expenditure. Thats the case of Nigeria under Tinubu. |
Stephen0mozzy:their voices never counted here and will never count here. They are better off there. This mindset of sharing the misery you are displaying is not good for we locals in Nigeria. We need their remittances and connection more. |
Despite defection?? Yusuf too is in apc now. |
Sanwo olu doesnt know more than acquiring wristwatches. |
This daniel has been consumed by the iragbiji burdillion lion. |
Yekini na 2027 be im own goal. How can some dickhead take custody of a religion open to all for practicing and give it extreme interpretation to this point. The satanic APC is an Arabic coven and will never see any evil even if millions die and a hundred million are displaced. |
malware:same way they want to remove Yekini and put Giringory there. Oponu. |
Hmmm. No need asking for you housing history. |
The new way to make people not vote none northerners. No more coup. |
bestman09:everything in nigeria is with strife. |
After spending such amount for accomodation alone they will open mouth and abuse private schools charging less for better accommodation. After enjoying close to N10m in subsidy over the the course of 4-5 years will insult people paying N1.1m over their 5 years in a private school. |
Nazareth10:and tge fact that tgere is another 721KM route from Lagos to Calabar. Their stock in trade is falsification of narratives. |
The APC paid spinners carefully changing the narrative fron the viability of the full 700km stretch to that of the lagos section. Very daft of them. |
For crude price increase of about 6% dangote increased his by 14.5%. NNPCL in the other hand maintained an increase commensurate with crude price increase. Maybe Dangote over-reduced his rates in past to make NNPCL look bad or he is just hiding his true colours. |
Some men are bad but some women are 'badder'. I wont judge either of them as i cannot determine who was the good one anong them. Whenever you see such single parent children of circumstances, just say a silent prayer for the eyes of their understanding to be opened on time. |
Should have added chicken or protein. |
Hmmm. Islamabad is a place of peace. The more boom the shakatah, the more akhubahu the allahu. |
Hezzyluv:What is Nigeria? A tree or corn? |
Hmmm. Yarning dust. Is the goalpost for ice cream sellers? |
RichBoy247:as you lay groundwork for rigging remember all your mushrooms renewed hope trash is a fraction of what Labaran maku used to campaign for Jonathan. Only rigging can give yekini second successful robbery. |
Ignoring housing and efficent transport deficits to focus on mega roads. Yekinically speaking. |
