It seems to me that the affordability challenges in Nigeria is not solely about price but about salaries and incomes being too low.

Over the last 20 years or so, Nigerian salaries have have not kept up with inflation.

Our main problemnis low productivity and when few people master the art of using machines to efficiently boost productivity, the end result is Dangote, adenuga and BUA is a poverty capital. They apply ther efficient machine in area of production that covers the poor man's basic necessities.
Almost every west african pays Dangote or BUA a token every day of the lives. If you dont live in house built by Dangote Dangote cement and pay rent, you probably move around in automobiles powered by his petrol or diesel. Their sugar, spaghetti and flour too finds their way into our diets on a daily basis. You probably use Glo mobile to call or browse or use another network that uses their Main One cable.

The out-of-tune ministry of education didn't see that and blacklist LASU forged certificates, it is the ones from Benin and Togo they have been vouching and appraising themselves for decades they suddenly realize are no longer accredited. Accredited by who please? By Benin and Togo or by Nigeria?

dont blame him. Soccer is a gamble. He took the higher wages and in return let them slap €130m on him. If he had scored 30 goals again this last season and performed for Nigeria with goals, someone somewhere will probably be more willing to negotiate the 130m down a little and sign him.
