thegoodjoehunt3: Free kicks blown by the referee do not disrupt the flow of the game, even if a hundred free kicks are blown. Why not put in a technology that will make only the right decision be blown.
Note it is a technology that enables quick time decision just like the goal line technology.
Does goal line technology slow down the game?
Refereeing with out goal line technology is ridiculous and stupid. Just see the terrible officiating of this game. One side clearly benefited from the officiating. Bro goal-line and video tech are not same thing. Video tech would involve watching the replay by another official, this official then sends signal to the referee. You can't tell me all these can happen within 5seconds. |

thegoodjoehunt3: The technology increases the referees accuracy. That Chelsea goal should not stand. The ball crossed the line.
Just like when a goal is scored and it is ruled wrong, the goal happens. The fans will be celebrating and the ref behind the screens will signal to the referee on the pitch that the goal does not stand.
It is more intriguing and interesting.
Why should wrong decisions be the criteria for interest, instead of the right decision. Bro it is certain that it will surely disrupt the flow of the game. Did you watch that handball by Cahill now? Video tech would make it right which is a good move, but supposing such incident occurs over and over it will surely disrupt the flow. Supposing you are on a counter, then referee halts the game just because he got a signal from his assistant. It will also undermine a referee ability. We are humans. We can't always be right. Bringing video tech is more or less creating a robot. It could also bring all sorts of scenes from players on the pitch. For now sir, I doubt if it will be implemented. And for me, I don't need such if my say can be heard anyway. Cheers!!! |

thegoodjoehunt3:
It will soon happen. Much money running into billions of pounds is being pumped into the game. Sponsors can not take poor officiating for long. Why are we here? Why do we watch football? Because of the interesting debates and post-match discussions. If video tech is introduced now, it means everything has to be right in football. Now when everything is right, there would be no fascinating talks. We all want talking points no matter how fair a game could be. If such tech is introduced, so what's the need of having a referee on the pitch. It's better of creating a robot to officiate a match. Now looking at the build-up to chelsea's 2nd goal, ball had crossed the line for a throw-in, but referee allowed play-on. Video tech would disrupt the pace and free flow of the game. It won't boost player morale in a high-tempo game. We all need talking points sire that's why we love to watch this game. Jah bless |

thegoodjoehunt3: Starting with shift abeg shows you put no thought behind your words. All major sports including basketball, lawn tennis, Ice Hockey etc use replay technology.
Do those games take four hours. There is a senior referee behind the cameras supported by quick technological replays and cameras to make more accurate decisions. Ok oya come closer Video technology won't be implemented in the game of football for now |

thegoodjoehunt3: I will continue crying out for video technology. That is the only way to stop bias officiating.
It Is Time For Video Technology In Football
however one thing is true about it. The pros of video technology is more than the coins of it Almost all sports have embraced technology. Those sports have not lost its passion. The game gets interesting and intriguing with video technology.
Some people say that bias officiating favors all teams as time progresses. I do not see it this way. What statistical analysis was used to come up with this fact?
Every time poor officiating takes place, my mind goes back to why people feel the video technology will work against the greatness of the game. Due to poor officiating, we see players lose their tempers and take matters into their hands to hurt other players. Zuniga and Neymar incident at the World Cup comes to mind.
Some argue the video technology will take the powers off the referees hands. I wonder why that is the case. In video technology, there is going to be a referee behind the cameras who takes the final decision. That referees decision is final. Video technology will improve the accuracy of the referee's decision and helps his final judgment. It would not undermine the referee but improve the referee's decision.
The argument that replays will slow down the game is another flawed argument. If we want the game moving along, why add fouls. Every foul in the frame slows down the game. Without video technology, we have cases where players have walked out of the pitch and refused to play. For instance, the game between France and Portugal at the European Cup of nation in 2000. A video technological decision would have saved this. Sometimes players decent the referees and lead to them sending off. Sometimes it gets to a point where coaches argue with referees. All these slow down the game. Video technology would make the game move faster than slow it down. It is a technological system and most problems have been addressed. https://www.nairaland.com/1986327/it-time-video-technology-football Bros shift abeg. So make referee dey watch replay all the time when something happen abi wetin Match of 90mins go come be 4hours wen no be indian film. Old mama go go market come back match go still dey on |

tonididdy: you parked in a no parking zone mister, so how are you right.
I want to take it you are new in Benin. just be careful next time, sorry for the expenses I don't think I talked about "parking" in any of my posts. I don't live in Benin shouldn't translate to being new in Benin. The fact is, you don't need to violate any rule now before those guys try to stop you. Another fact is, once your plate number is not Edo state, you are likely to get stopped. How do you justify this present trend where some wear muftis, get a personal car, stay before a traffic light and try to commit you to violate the rule? In a scenario whereby you are driving by that roundabout at ring-road with serious traffic, what do you think EDSTMA should help out with? Last I checked, their acronym had TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AGENCY. Now when traffic eases up a bit and you move forward, these same persons who were to manage traffic just enter your car and penalise you stating "diversion of lane" and start negotiating with you. I have not paid bribe to them. Point is not everyone driving is stubborn. Point is time is precious and what those peeps do surely destabilizes one. Now how many citizens are able to cough out 25k? Don't you think such a fine is crazily on a high side? Now your car is towed for instance, do you think it's that easy for a citizen to make a case in the court of law whereby those at the helm of affairs are corrupt? I await your response sir, kindly cite examples on the way forward also. Regards!!! |

EvilSeeed: Same Nigeria where Baba Suwe got a 20 million naira settlement from the NDLEA?
Same Nigeria where the lady who was beaten up in public by Naval officers won a huge settlement in Court?
Same Nigeria where a woman won 15 Million Naira in punitive damages against LASTMA?
All these out of how many million cases? What was the time frame? Or do you think if one is travelling he would have the whole time in the world for this? Supposing you are based in Lagos, you are to travel to onitsha and come back the following day to carry on with what puts food on your table, only for EDSTMA to harass you the moment you get into Benin. How many cases have you taken to court and how many million were you paid in the end. Don't you think you can as well be an activist and help the masses. It's easy to act online than in real life. |

It's because of the public outcry that's why he stopped VIO in Benin & there was a time they churned out some folks wearing pink polo shirt(under ministry of transport), they too were stopped
I don't want EDSTMA to be stopped because its a source of job creation but they should be checked.
I really need to know who to pass this to the top, I have posted on the edo state government Facebook page, nothing yet You can call on Seun to help push the thread to homepage or you mail supermods |

The 1st time the so called EDSTMA stopped me, I was driving by the roundabout at ring-road. There was traffic, instead of these men to help in freeing traffic, they were looking for who to fault. Traffic eased a bit and I moved, next thing was these men entered my car and say I should drive to their office. I asked what my offence was and they said "diversion of lane". I was like for roundabout again when hold-up dey and I no even divert lane. Them begin call price dey bill me oh Shuo. I just drive dey go, the man begin hold my steering oh. I tell am say I no dey stay this state. The plan when I bin get to say road free na to drive go my destination make dem beat them. Last last the person wen accompany me just give them 1k make dem dey go.
Before they fault you, them go 1st spy if your plate number no be Edo state. |
