yame014: yeyeyeeee!!! help! my head is getting bigger...***head swelling***Lolz |
Imanuelle: the way you aim....Ha! Its not me Oooº°˚˚˚°ºo its just the way God has been ordering my footsteps. |
yame014: hmmmm...i think am learning faster on this forum....thanks to you and all my wonderful housemates...(hopeyemmy n immanuel-i hail una o)my brother tnks to u all too. it helps to be in a room full of logically thinkin, sound reasoning people. the patient and accomodating spirit iv noticed here still amazes me @ tyms. The batch b thread wasnt this nice, too many harsh words for my liking. u guys are the best! |
Imanuelle: hehehe....ℓ☺ℓ from where na? |
hopeyemmy: That is the least we could give u.Amen o! |
hopeyemmy: Lol.That's nice. HR managers don't want to read a novel of ur life they prefer the summary. It saves them time considering the fact that they have hundreds of resumes for a position, makes their work easier. Nw consider when they have have 5 postitions to fill in the company. Multiply 5 by hundred, get the pic? So if urs is like 5 pages they'l authomatically assume u'r a novice and put ur cv in the junk pile. |
Imanuelle: im sure your resume should have exceeded 5 pages.Well typically ur resume shoudnt be more than 2pages. That being said I tank God for the small experience I have. As my naija people wud say "at all at all na im bad pass" ℓ☺ℓ |
hopeyemmy: You are welcome. We are here to serve u as usual.Tnks for the moral support. |
Imanuelle: success is your only option !Tnks dear. |
Hello yemmy, immanuel I see u. Sorry iv been absent 2day. Have cipm exams comin up nxt mnth. I don't attend tutorials so I have to self study vigorously. But im in for the nyt shift. |
Hello room |
hopeyemmy: I haven't birthed one, but one thing I know for sure is that babies don't sleep "that soundly" at night as u make it to be.Tell them jor. And some fall bak easily once u put a feeding bottle in their mouths while u have to stand up carrying some of them until they fall bak asleep. |
hopeyemmy: Morning guys.Who eva brought up that statement I 'slept like a baby' didn't knw wat he was talkin abt and im sure its a 'he'. All the babies iv taken care of wake up 3-4 tyms in the nyt cryin because of one thing or the other; Soaked diapers, hot weather, hunger or crying for their mothers. The following morning ur eyes are blood shot red with visible eye bags and guess wat, if u'r a mum, or a very loving sensitive dad who partakes in chores at home, u'r going to go thru it again that nyt lolz and the cycle continues for at least 16-18 mnths lolz. I love kidz sha. Lol |
yame014: Guten abend hopeyemmy..wie geht's?....translation-good evening hopeyemmy...how's it going?Huh? Its like dat? |

Helenqollinz: I studied English, but more of literature.very close, no wonder |
Imanuelle: Looooooolz.. ...Haha I just cudnt help myself lol |
saintalone: Beyond reasonable doubt dear.Tnks pal. |
Helenqollinz: I agree wif u dear dat learnin a second lang.(L2)is an advantage nd i must say dat pidgin as a lang.is fast dorminatin d world nd is one of my L2 since i lyk 2 code mix nd code switch it wif my L1 nd odas.U a linguist too? (Code switching and code mixing) |
j-slimz:Haha well neither am I truthfully. I studied linguistics and communication and felt bad that I cudnt speak any other language apart from english and pidgin (and yes pidgin is a language cos it has its own syntax and semantics, anyway I digress). When most ppl hear u did lcs they'r like 'wow! So u speak many languages'. Linguist doesn't speak many languages a polyglot does. Although abroad they make proficiency in one language compulsory. A linguist studies language structure, its basically the scientific study of language, hw sounds and words are formed in ur mouth, hw languages differ from each other etc etc pardon me, iv digressed again. Wat I mean to say is I tuk it up as a challenge to learn and I haven't regretted it. U myt be oportuned to work in an embassy, expatriate staff of a company, some schools lack french teachers at primary level. U cud teach that in addition to any other subject u'd teach during service for (extra bucks of course) or while waiting for ur dream job after service. Nigeria has two francophone countries as neighbours, u may need to visit togo to do some cheap shopping one day, ur french wud definitely come in handy then. With these few points of mine, I hope iv bn able to not confuse u but convince that learning a second language has its benefits lolz. |
