How to form a very strong but easy to remember password

One of the ways to secure our data on online platforms and to secure data on our personal computer is through the use of passwords. Passwords are combination of letters, numbers, symbols etc. to create a secure login in order to protect our data and valuable information from unauthorized use.

There is a need to use very strong password as weak passwords can be easily deciphered by hackers and people with bad intent.

Often times people use strong passwords but only to forget them a few weeks or months. About 70% of participants in a survey we conducted claimed they use online platform 'Forgot Password' link if they fail to use the platform regularly within a period of three months or more. Also, among those surveyed, about 50% use password combinations that include their names or other Personal Identifiable Information (PII). As stated earlier such password combinations are easy targets of hackers.

Below are what will make a password strong:
Ø Use alphanumeric combination
Ø Use capitalization
Ø Use symbols
Ø Use a memorable event to form a easy to remember password by using the first letter of every word and transforming others into symbols.

The following event are used to form a very strong but easy to remember passwords:

Finally, it is not enough to have a very strong password but such password should be regularly maintained if you want to totally keep your data secured. A very strong password which is written down somewhere can be easily seen and used by people with bad intent. Hence the followings are rules to follow in order to effectively maintain a very strong password:
Ø Do not share your password with anyone
Ø Change your password periodically say monthly, every three months or yearly
Ø Do not write down your password
Ø Do not use one single password for multiple platform or logins

Microsoft just released a security update for Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.685 called 20H2 (KB4592438) ... This build will be applied to users on October 2020 Update and it fixes a System vulnerability which prevents applications that run as a SYSTEM account from printing to "FILE:" ports.

How Best to Use Uninterruptuble Power Supply (UPS) to Increase Its Useful Life

iii. Online UPS: This is the most expensive type of UPS because it includes extra electronic circuitry which allow it to repeatedly filter the mains power through the battery system. Well that's great if you can recover deleted files but data recovery is in two parts, viz: software and physical data recovery. Do not attempt physical recovery unless you have experience and know what you're doing.

They've tried another processor on it but the problem still persist. It's an Intel core i5, Lenovo ThinkPad edge 15. BIOS has been changed but still same problem. They concluded that the issue is from the heat sink. Thanks bro for your concern

Hi, from the way you explained the issue it may not be an overheating issue due to multitasking but caused by weak processor unless of course you run heavy application within the space of 28mins which the shutting down occur and your motherboard is an AMD, if not then you need a change of processor and not heat sink

Good morning Fam. I have been dealing with the problem of my laptop going off after every 28 minutes. First, when you turn it on for the first time, it will work for like an hour or more before switching off and when I turn it on immediately again, it will come up again then boot normal and I will use it for 28 minutes before it automatically shots down again, when I power it on again it will come up and boot, it will also last for another 28 minutes. Engineers have diagnosed the problem and it was discovered that the problem is from the board. The first engineer said he cannot work on it because it is very delicate to work on board, another engineer diagnosed it and said that the Bios is bad, then flashed the bios and replaced with a new Bios but the problem persisted. He finally discovered that the heatsink might be the problem, that he's going to change the heatsink but until this very moment we haven't gotten the heatsink to atleast test and see if it would solve the problem.
The system is Lenovo ThinkPad (edge 15). Please if there's anyway or any means I can get it, any of our good and versatile guru's here can help out, please. Heatsink for Lenovo ThinkPad (edge 15).

Good afternoon Engineers in the house. Please my cousins baby accidentally poured water on his system. He left it and the next day decided to power it. He inserted the charger and immediately he switched it on, the system started bringing out smoke in which he quickly removed the charger and battery. Now the system won’t come on. I didn't see anywhere to turn OFF the High contrast and that was indeed the problem because each time I go back to the ease of access menu, the high contrast is always checked, even after unchecking it, it still shecks itself somehow when I go back to see it. I just changed my PC's appearance (I chose a different wallpaper/screen appearance) and it went back to normal.

But if you have tampered with the contrast in Ease of Access:

Just go to PC Settings --> Ease of Access --> And turn OFF High contrast

Scary!! Security company Sophos has warned of a new ransomware by hackers that can attack Windows systems by attacking Gigabyte drivers and launching a second driver which will disable any running antivirus on your PC.

The ransomware called RobbinHood uses a security vulnerability found in Gigabyte drivers in 2018. This vulnerability is used to access the device and deploy the ransomware.

Sophos said "The software uses a third-party driver co-signed by Microsoft to modify the kernel file to load its own unsigned malicious driver and remove the secure application from the kernel."

Victims of RobbinHood had to pay to have their files unlocked. Failure to pay and the amount could rise up to $10,000/day.

This ransomeware is scary so PC users should continue to use strong security software to stop attacks and also make sure they get regular security patches from their vendors.
