Hi @computerboy, my screen keep giving me this blue screen as attached in the image. My observation seems to be that each time I run program like Corel draw or Revit program. This problem started last month, it's going to a month now since I started experiencing this issue. I will be glad if you can help.

I need help from the Computer guru's in the house. My system has been displaying ''check Hard disk 1'' when ever i turned it on. It will then display, ''CHKDSK is verifying files'' it also display this, ''file record segment is unreadable. this will go on for hours.
Please what might be the problem with it.

The hard drive is about to fail. I'll advise you backup your important files. Then open command prompt, put this code "chkdsk /f" and press enter to try fixing the drive

You'll need a windows 10 CD. Make sure it's creators update and instal through bios. when you get to part to choose clean install or upgrade you'll see option for repair. I'll advise you meet a technician if you're not savvy enough

Thanks a lot bro. I removed the keyboard and then used an external keyboard and it worked perfectly. I will need a place to get another keyboard to replace it. I can't find it in the local computer accessories stores around here. I live in Ogoja, CRS. Don't know if you can recommend a genuine seller to me? Thanks

From my personal experience, no. Its the battery. Check the battery and charger first before suspecting the system

I just an accer laptop recently. It's not charging, always writing "plugged in and not charging" but when I clicked on the battery logo, it will show 100% fully charged, but the battery is critically low. Please help.

cant screen shot..k u knw when u finish typing ur password and then it shows "welcome"..den shows a blank screen then ur desktop?..thats what m talking abt..but in my case.. after showing "welcome"..shows d blank sreen(in my case green, its a theme something I set) then shows d desktop..then it keeps showing the green screen and desktop..continuously..hope u understand?

Well at least that's a software issue. Try to repair your windows with a CD

You can't upgrade your graphics card on a laptop, you can only update the driver. Intel hd 3000 will always remain Intel HD 3000 no matter what. Go through device manager and right click on the driver then choose update and go with internet (first option)

or better still, use your model number and search your manufacturer's website to download your drivers

The windows 10 ISO link you gave, if I were to install it on an activated windows 8 or 7 will I face problem with activation when upgrading?

if it's a genuine activated Windows, once you finish installation just connect to internet it'll activate itself. But if not then you will use any activator of your choice to activate after installation

Yes, it was after installation of a driver. I personally don't like clean/full formatting, that's y I made mention of using a command line to uninstall the driver as he doesn't have a restore point and he's reinstalled windows, still no solution. You've given an alternative-DDU.

Same Error message? Were you able to successfully rolled back the driver installation or you installed via the Recovery Manager?

Try system restore from Safe Mode to select a restore point that precedes the driver update, else, you'll have to go for Windows Reinstall, NOT reset.

cc: computerboy and androidking, any alternative solution? I think there's a command line solution to this but I can't figure it out.

He needs no command line. The error mentioned video so it's probably his graphics card. I guess he installed an incompatible driver. Solution is to format and install the latest graphics driver or if this issue was caused by the latest then he install an older driver. Driver must be downloaded from HP website and it must be for his particular model.

If he doesn't want to format, he can download DDU and use it to uninstall the graphics driver then install a new one. If this doesn't work then its a hardware problem

That's because his internal keyboard is still connected. Let him disconnect it and try external keyboard you'll see it'll be normal. The screenshot shows the shift key is pressing itself

My Lenovo Thinkpad L530 is giving me headache , when I want to input my password, the keyboard enters different characters from what is on the keyboard, for example, the number 1 turns to !, 2 turns to "... Also the left shift key does not work with the ZXC... line on the keyboard. I have tried several external keyboard and it still gives me the same problem. After trying for some time, it will start working normally and then repeat itself. Pls how can I resolve this issue? I've also attached a screenshot to show you what pop up each time I turn on the system. Thanks

Please I bought a new hp 255 G6 E2-9000e AMD FreeDOS(4G ram). I never even knew what the FreeDOS meant cos I ain't computer savvy until it got delivered to me.
End of my long embarrassing story is that I need to install windows 10 (original version) into this system.
Who can help with this please?

I don't think you can afford $119 for original windows 10 home edition or 199$ for the pro edition. Just get the normal dvd in the market for 200 and use an activator after

Computerboy my laptop is given me headache with this Wi-Fi issue. Any time I am connected to internet with Wi-Fi, it will just off and when ever I try do troubleshoot, it always say An Ethernet cable is not properly plugged in or might be broken. I have to restart/on-off my laptop for several times before the Wi-Fi will on.Because of that I have update my window and is still doing the same thing.Pls help man

Did you update the Wi-Fi driver? If no then follow udemzy advice. Remove your Wi-Fi card, clean the slot, put it back again and fix the 2 clips.
