You can't instal just any drivers. You must make sure it's for your laptop. Remove your battery and check the full model number of your laptop then go to hp website and search for it

saw it when I clicked the window update. It will search for like 30 minutes before bringing up the above error message

Goto C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution

Delete everything in the software distribution folder. Not all will delete, restart your laptop and delete the remaining. Your windows update will work fine afterwards

You don't need to uninstall if what you're seeing there is "Microsoft basic display adapter". It's telling driver is up to date cos your internet connection isn't strong. Anyways what's your laptop model? I can help get you a link

It is unique for each laptop depending on graphics model. Make sure you're connected to strong internet and go through device manager

from Microsoft website. visit with your phone or any device that's not running on Windows else it'll redirect you to media creator tool. Once you get the link you can copy to any download manager

If you want to update then download from Microsoft website. my link is for clean install only. Since you're already on windows 10 I'll suggest you get creators update from your windows update

No. You'll have option to keep your files but installed apps will be deleted if you're coming from older version of Windows like 8 or 7
