The Labour Party governorship candidate in Enugu State Hon. Barr. Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga is obviously on a long walk to victory. In my Aug 26, 2022 write up, I stated clearly that the Labour Party's candidate has become "a proverbial Cat with Nine lives in Enugu politics". The people's choice, Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga has been weathering every storms, stumbling blocks, blockades, sordid hitches, witches and wizards, convoluted conspiracies, and anastomosis of man-made issues, in his divine mission to shoulder the responsibility of leading Enugu state out of the dark forces that have held the state hostage for some 23 years now. Apart from conquering governor Ugwuanyi's bobby traps pre - PDP Primaries erra, that led Edeoga to a stationed slaughter house on may 25 2022, Edeoga has been using his widely likened genius ingenuity in dodging, repulsing, rebuking, countering, diverting, quenching and sometimes snubbing the resurgence of Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's deadly arrows projected to extinguish the looming Political freedom of Enugu people now represented by Chijioke Edeoga movement.

However, Chijioke Edeoga was not the only victim of the May 25 widely condemned scam, the PDP Primary election in Enugu state. Other aspirants who were equally led to the golgotha same day included but not limited to: distinguished sen. Gilbert Nnaji, distinguished sen. Ike Ekweremadu, Pastor Beloved Dan. Anike, Rev. Ralph Nwoye, and Prof. Barth Nnaji. All these notable sons of Enugu state were individually and unknown to each other, lured to buy the PDP gunbernatorial forms at a whopping sum of 20 million naira by the governor of Enugu State with a firm conviction that he will anoint each of them. C.J Edeoga stood out among them because when the bubbles finally bursted with the realization that the governor had sold the ticket to Peter Mba since Match 2022 and has been deceiving others all the while, all but Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga scampered for safety and towards a financially assured succor. Most of them withdrew from the contest 24 hrs before the date. It was only Hon. Barr. Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga that had the gut to face the contest no matter whose ox was gored. Having done a tremendous work in interfacing with the party delegates, Edeoga was determined to prove to Enugu people that he was quite prepared to lead them unlike the rest of the aspirants that hoped to be handed over the ticket on a platter and ended up running away when the governor handed over the ticket to Peter Mbah for a handsome fee. Edeoga thereafter in response to the calls by Enugu people moved to Labour Party with his massive following, to actualize his divine ambition. But gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been using all the state arsenals currently in his disposal to hunt the leader of what has become a People's liberation movement.

The most current and the final but failed onslaught against Edeoga is the suit seeking to declare the governor's surrogate Capt. Everest Nnaji, Odengene , the candidate of the Labour Party despite not participating in one and the only primary election that produced Chijioke Edeoga as the candidate of the party. Apart from paying a mind blinding sum of 2 billion naira for the ill-fated mission, grape vine has it that additional billions of the dwindling Enugu state funds were pushed into the pursuit of a legal victory for Odengene. But the federal high court Abuja in its wisdom ruled on 9th of October 2022, that the primary election should be reconducted within 14 days. This is a victory for Edeoga, Enugu people, Labour Party, INEC and even the judiciary for resisting all the palpable inducements by the corrupt PDP in this matter. At last Labour Party now has the opportunity to make the same statement it has been making since July 1, 2022 - that Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga is it's gunbernatorial candidate in Enugu state in a reconducted primaries. This will shamefully bury the nusisance value which Odengene and his sponsors have been constituting. Meanwhile Labour Party equally has the time and opportunity to approach the appeal court to quash the judgement since it is encumbered by many senseless infractions of the plaintiff such as non inclusion of Chijioke Edeoga as a party in the suit. This implies that any direction and decision the party takes will be to the rightful advantage of Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga, Labour Party and Enugu people.

Meanwhile Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and his party PDP are not the only dark forces working against the light that is coming to shine throughout the nooks and crannies of Enugu state. Certain minor Political irredentists from Enugu East Senatorial District have been projecting their own episodes of attempts to drag Enugu state back to the frightening era of Ebeano rein. Last Sunday the 6th of Nov. 2022, the Nkanu Peoples Assembly held it's meeting in Enugu. And a motion came from the national president of the group, Igwe Abel Nwobodo to recognize Peter Mba as the only candidate of the Nkanu People, for the forth coming governorship election in Enugu State. It is to the enternal credit of the spontaneous counter motion raised by Chief Emma Okenwa of Amechi Awkunanaw, that the association resisted being misled by such a motion with obvious clandestine objectives. The respected and vocal Chief Okenwa rose up to vehemently reject the motion of the irredentist Igwe Abel Nwobodo. Chief Emma Okenwa loudly reminded Nkanu elders at the meeting that before the emergence of Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, Nkanu Peoples Assembly has always been non Partisan. Chief Okenwa informed the Nkanu People that: "I Chief Emma Okenwa was among the first set that started this Association. I was the first committee chairman that gave Chimaroke Nnamani reception in 1999. And Nkanu has not done it again since then". "I led the delegation that went to Isi Uzo to beg Isaiah Ani for the inclusion of Isi Uzo people in the proposed new Enugu East Senatorial district on behalf of Nkanu Peoples Assembly. What we have is six LGAs and any candidate that emerges from any of these LGAs becomes Nkanu candidate" "We have never been Partisan before the coming of Chimaroke Nnamani. So let nobody confuse us with whatever governor said about anointing any candidate. We are elders and this is not what we should be talking about. We are supposed to be completely non Partisan as we used to be". Chief Emma Okenwa was largely supported by many other Nkanu elders in the Sunday meeting who spoke after him in approval of the gold standard of the Nkanu Peoples Assembly as correctly stated by Chief Okenwa.

While we commend the uncommon courage to say the truth, as displayed by Chief Emma Okenwa and the Nkanu elders who supported him, I wish to express my disappointment on the person of the over 90 years old Igwe Abel Nwobodo. At an age when this elder states man should be preaching unity among his people, he has continued to display extreme clannishness over the years. By the way, why has Pa Abel Nwobodo refused to conduct an election in Nkanu Peoples Assembly for more than twenty years he has monopolized the leadership of the famous Association Is he thinking that Nkanu Peoples Assembly is his personal fiefdom the same way he foisted himself on the people of NaraUnateze as their Igwe in 2014 against the will of the entire Nara Unateze people?? Why has Nkanu elders allowed this clannish man to continue to portray the noble association in bad light for more than twenty years now

This motion and counter motion in Nkanu Peoples Assembly is very timely and has reiterated all we have been saying all the while namely: 1. that Nkanu People begged Isi Uzo people to join them in forming Enugu East Senatorial district as brothers. 2. That it is only few people led by Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani that are causing problem in Enugu East Senatorial district. 3. That Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga is widely accepted throughout Enugu State including the entire Nkanu land. 4. That Peter Mba cannot win any governorship election in Enugu state because of his criminal past, as long as Chijioke Edeoga, who is in all ramifications immuned to corruption, is contesting the same election. This explains why the PDP, Peter Mba, governor Ugwuanyi and Chimaroke Nnamani have been doing every permissible evil thing to truncate the liberation of Enugu State through attempted withering of Chijioke Edeoga's name from the ballot papers.

But Edeoga as usual will definitely come out stronger as their defeat has started with the federal high court Abuja's refusal to declare Odengene as the party's candidate. May I conclude this by stating unequivocally that the conundrum of the artificial troubles that have been fashioned against the people's incoming governor, Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga is a vital and most convincing sign that he is on a long but assured walk to victory, the lion building Enugu.

*Sobbing with Ekweremadu: Gov. Ugwuanyi's Politics of Attrition and Vendetta.

This write up is my very first commentary on what has become the fate of His Excellency, distinguished senator Ike Ekweremadu (CFR), ever since he was magically fizzled out of Nigeria politics. Like that unseen hand that always visits at the end of every man's sojourn on earth, Ekweremadu's departure from our national and state politics, came unannounced, unplanned, unexpected, confusing, dramatic, and now even seems carefully plotted. As a man within the category of people whom Late Chinua Achebe would describe as, "those having their palm kernel cracked by benevolence spirit" in our society, the former three times deputy president of Nigeria senate had his life and politics carefully planned and plotted so expectedly that those close to him had correctly predicted and read his body languages as soon as 2019 general election, which saw him winning the Senatorial ticket of his zone, the Enugu West Senatorial District for the 5th time was over. It was almost this time that all his foot soldiers and political followers in Enugu State began to water the ground in the media, for his now arborted gubernatorial ambition in Enugu State since the people's senator had announced in the hearing of everyone that he would not be returning to the red chamber by 2023. The rest is now history as the memories of how the state actors in Enugu politics led by Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, gradually undid, diminished, frustrated, castrated, ruined, bewitched and finally truncated the rightful ambition of senator Ike Ekweremadu are still fresh. In short, it is not within the scope of this piece to discuss in details all the intrigues applied by the governor in achieving his aims of crippling the political empire of Senator Ekweremadu in Enugu state. But we still remember how gov Ugwuanyi followed, trailed, monitored and tracked every steps taken by Senator Ekweremadu in order to arrive at his sundry defeat, made it impossible for the senator to participate in any Political party's primary election in the state. The madness demonstrated by the APC Enugu state led by a certain Chief Ugochukwu Agballa when Ekweremadu wanted to decamp to APC holistically betrayed the behind the scene crippling hands of governor Ugwuanyi on the opposition Party. As a writer I had since noted in one of my write ups that it was only the political wizardry of the Labour Party gunbernatorial candidate Hon. Barr. Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga that was able to beat the governor's politics of deceit, witch hunting, betrayal, etc following his emergence as a candidate in the upcoming general election.

But beyond seeing that senator Ekweremadu is decimated completely out of Enugu Politics, the governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has taken it beyond Politics by ensuring that the people's senator lose all he must have acquired in his over 20 years of political relevance in Nigeria. How else can one explain the speed of light with which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, used in securing a judgement that orders the seizure of over forty Ike Ekweremadu's property across the country and beyond. EFCC known for always dillying dallying in the discharge of its official duties suddenly developed 'Hussain Bolt' abilities and pounced on Ike Ekweremadu at a time he is down and painfully absent and needs the support of Nigeria government in his current ordeal in the hands of European authorities. As I write this governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in his seven years in Enugu government house, has been looking the other way whenever citizens of Enugu State call for the repatriation of Enugu State funds seized from former governor Chimaroke Nnamani and Peter Mba by the same EFCC many years ago. In fact, he has even secretly assisted Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani in recovering many of his property confiscated by the federal agency instead of helping the State repossess them from Federal government.

In our culture it is a taboo to hit a man who is down. But gov. Ugwuanyi has used every of his powers as a governor to subdue senator Ike Ekweremadu at his period of weakness and absence. And I ask how are we sure that the entire drama that culminated in the unfortunate endless detention of senator Ike Ekweremadu in far away London was not abinitio caused by the transactional governor of Enugu state?? Is it impossible that governor Ugwuanyi while tracking every political steps of Ekweremadu during the build up to the PDP Primaries, did stumble into the senator's family issues and decided to also exploit same to his advantage since the whole thing could catalyze the senator's final exit from Politics.

In the final note, it is usually said that Politics is a dirty game and that political sins are not forgivable. But are they enough reasons for our dear governor to keep tracking and plotting the downfall of a man who is already down and needs enough help??. The act of inducing EFCC by the governor with everything they needed to secure this bizzare judgement that has finally deepened the unfortunate troubles of Ike Ekweremadu remains the worst forms of man's inhumanity to man and should be condmned by all well meaning people of Enugu state. And as I sob with the man of the people and his family today, I call on everyone who is human to render every form of help he/she could, to our brother whom fate and love for his family has exposed to the evil dictates of his enemies. The help could be financial, spiritual, political, legal, familial, religious, etc. And yours sincerely has through this contribution offered the one I can.

The embattled Candidate of the people's Democratic Party PDP Barr. Peter Mba has been making news for the wrong reasons following the presentation of his Manifesto on the 13th of October 2022. Many commentators have been legitimately picking holes in the overbloated manifesto not only because it sounded larger than life but also because it is cynically intended to hoodwink the exasperated Enugu people once again. Mbah's manifesto has received so much negative commentaries to the extent that Enugu people have faulted almost all the provisions of the document. The manner in which Enugu people descended on and demolished Peter Mbah's manifesto has once again brought to fore the public rejection of his ill conceived ambition to govern Enugu state. Like a swarm of honey bees angrily rushing on an unfortunate victim, the people of this state have perforated that hurriedly assembled regurgitation of routine but yet mundane anectode that always exude from the mouth of a regular Nigeria politician. It now looks like a lace fabric in structure. For some obvious reasons, it didn't occur to the owo man that it's no longer business as usual.

However yours sincerely is utterly bemused that our people gave so much attention to Mr. Mbah's inability to articulate an elaborate, practicable, realistic and achievable manifesto that depicts the yearnings of our people whose political awareness and expectations have skyrocketed in a geometric proportion without ascertaining whether the PDP candidate deserves to stand before Enugu people and talk about our collective future or not base on the current realities and Mba's despicable past. Permit me to admit here that I never expected anything more than the hollowness that characterised Peter Mba's manifesto. This is because from abinitio he never believed that he needs Enugu Peoples vote in order to be governor. Recall that the Owo man refused to consult or present himself to the PDP delegates during the build up to their primary election as other aspirants struggled to win the hearts of the delegates. Peter having perfected his transaction and purchase of the ticket from gov. Ugwuanyi to the tune of 13 billion naira, called the bluff of his party's delegate and waited till the governor ordered all of them to vote for Mba in a most fraudulent party Primaries in the history of Enugu state. It will therefore amount to asking for too much for one to expect peter Mbah to present a manifesto that can win the hearts of Enugu voters since he never believed that Enugu people's vote is all that he require to be a governor. In fact it is to the credits of Labour Party Enugu state and their candidate Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga who has been making great waves in his widely accepted journey into Enugu's lion building that an Ebeano Protege like Mba succumbed to attempting a shadow of an anachronistic, out of tune, stereotypical, and jettisoned kind of manifesto in modern world. This is why the document is completely devoid of everything originality, life, reality, Behind, spark, motivation, taste, ambition, and effect expected of a modern day political manifesto. And since other writers have done justice in dissecting the irritant of a document, I hereby proceed to the main crux of this write up as captured in the title.

Does Peter Mba Deserve to Present Any manifesto to Enugu People Now

Honestly speaking the PDP candidate has no moral standing to stand before Enugu people and start talking of what he will do or not do in the state. In order words Mba has no reason to aim at Enugu government house without clearing his name off the shameful financial scandals that have been hunting him since 2007 till date. In facts it is an unbearable insult to our people that Peter Mba should come to think of leading Enugu as governor without explaining in details his role in the stealing of the state treasury dry under the government of Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani- an action that earned him (Mba) 10 months of detention in the hands of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Peter Mba has refused to answer questions on why he had to enter a plea bargain before regaining his freedom after his tenure as commissioner for finance under the same government knowing that a plea bargain in legal parlance is a mild way of accepting guilt in order to avert maximum punishment for the crime committed. This embattled Mba is obviously thinking that Enugu people are fools that should not demand explanation and apologies from him for raping the state to death financially. Recently a more damaging publication by the 'people's gazette' surfaced on how Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani and Peter Mba forfeited huge sums of Enugu state funds in far away USA in a court judgement as far back as 2009. I read a brief interview granted by Peter Mba after his provoking manifesto presentation where he dismissed the grave publication as a work of his political opponent.

Mr. Mba sir, Enugu people want to know how? I mean how does your 2022 political opponent become responsible for your indictment in a foreign country in 2009 What exactly do you take Enugu people for Why do you chose to trivialize a serious issue such as your indictment by the USA Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI when you have a lot of avenues to prove your innocence if at all you are. Sir, your response to the FBI question is highly unacceptable to Enugu people and I urge you to as a matter of urgency take actions and steps to prove your innocence or stand the risk of forfeiting your gubernatorial ambition as well if you can't establish your innocence. Enugu people are too enlightened to allow this matter be down played by you and your handlers. You are advised to sue the medium that published the news if you are innocent. Failure to do this within a space of time that shall remain unspecified shall force us to mobilize the entire state to begin a match that will force you to relinguish your candidacy in the up coming election. Enugu people can no longer allow people with a criminal record to emerge our leader for any reason. We are too sophisticated to accept that especially as we have a very credible alternative in Labour Party whom we know you can never win in a free and fair election. But we shall prove to you and your types that you cannot take us for granted as you are thinking by mobilising all known and unknown resources to make you bury your ambition before the election if you fail to establish your innocence within a shortest period of time. The onus is totally on you to show us that you are innocent of the offence. Telling us that it is a handiwork of your opponent is irritating, provoking, lame, evading, deceitful, dubious and largely unsatisfactory and cannot act as a fascia to cover and obliterate your ugly past that is hunting you.

Another issue worthy of this writer's note is the non disclosure of Peter Mbah's vital information in the so called manifesto. Dear Mr Mba, kindly note that Enugu people demand a full disclosure of your year of graduation, work experience, NYSC details, age, including how you earned the money for the establishment of your Pinnacle Oil firm etc. You see, deliberate dubiousity has a way of affecting everything one does in life. And we will not allow a man who cannot let us know ordinary vital information about himself to govern us. Everything this PDP candidate does have continued to betray a conspicuous hiatus in the personage of a man that want to govern Enugu state. And this is what we cannot allow to be since we have other men especially in Labour party who are not afflicted with Peter Mbah's kind of personality deficiency syndrome. So Peter Mba and his handlers must prove to the people they want to govern that he is innocent in a conventional court of law and demonstrate elaborate and irridiscent openess with regards to his vital information before he can qualify to contest for governor of Enugu state. Failure to do this will definitely lead to him and the party he represents losing the election before the contest begins. To be fore warned is to be fore armed.

The Demystification Of Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani (ebeano) By John Agbo (John Lead) 4th Oct 2022

For those who are not aware, the current seeming unwangling of the myth tied to the name Ebeano in Enugu politics is not the first time the leader of the group will be shown to possess no magical powers in the politics of the state. In my May 28th 2022 famous 'Open letter to Chijioke Edeoga', I wrote in quote " His Excellency Barr. Sullivan Chime had since demonstrated the no-near invincibility of Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani to the whole world". This was in reference to the well deserved forced retirement imposed on the Ebeano founder by the then people's governor. It is therefore not surprising to the quintessential watchers of Enugu politics that the dreaded masquerade is currently gasping for political air this early with his most condemnable declaration of support and enlistment as a member of the presidential campaign council of the All Progressive Congress APC. Dr. Nnamani out of desperation to avert frustration from the imminent defeat of PDP in Enugu state threw caution to the wind and went into full blown anti-party activities even when he is a sitting senator of his political party and a godfather to his party's gubernatorial candidate in Enugu state, Peter Mba. The Ebeano founder unknown to many is fear striken by the rise of Labour Party's candidate in Enugu state Barr. Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga and understands perfectly that he is headed towards another eclipse of his political carrear this time by the people of Enugu state. And he is obviously using all his self acclaimed intellects to attempt a survival in the event that his worst fears comes to realities. This is the only possible explanation for the recent actions of the man that keeps tounting his foot soldiers with "Ije agada agada" - a street parlance for anti Party activities.

A good student of Enugu politics will realize that the Ebeano camp was in panic mode before the gubernatorial primaries of the PDP. They peddled whole lots of fright induced rumors on how governor Ugwuanyi wants to hand over to to his alleged cousin. They threatened and intimidated the governor until he succumbed to their undo pressure in utter disregard to the wishes of Enugu people. After securing the PDP ticket with their money and all that they have, they instantly started harassing and bullying their opponent in celebration of their victory. Unknown to the Ebeano leader then is the fact that Enugu people never really accepted his return to Enugu politics and are now determined to teach him some lessons of his life. Come to think of it, wasn't Chimaroke Nnamani supposed to apologise to Enugu people for the terror he unleashed on the state when he was the governor As a "frankstein monster", he never thought it was necessary for him to do so in order to be fully accepted into the state politics again. And for governor Ugwuanyi, the opinions of over 90% of Enugu people don't matter as long as he is the governor. Therefore Chimaroke Nnamani must be imposed on Enugu East Senatorial district since he helped governor Ugwuanyi, an Enugu North Senatorial district man attain his political heights.

As Enugu people after watching the brutal display of bringandry by the rabid Ebeano leader at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium venue of PDP primaries had no option than to deploy the naturally endowed meekly and brotherly nature of an Enugu man in their support and acceptance of Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, the fear of Ebeano assumed an alarming proportion. They influenced the governor into forcing people to pay him a solidarity visit in a false belief that his choice of a candidate can be accepted by the Enugu people. The first group of people to fall for this trick was the PDP stake holders of Isi Uzo LGA. Forced solidarity visit to the governor has since then continued till date. Then the people's choice Edeoga made his moves and joined Labour Party. It was greeted with hysteria across the state. This time the Ebeano gang realized that their fear was far from ending soon. They again desperately convinced the governor to buy up every body in Labour Party using Odengene. The formidable leadership of the party made it impenetrable to Odengene. The actions and activities of the Labour Party Enugu leadership that strongly resisted governor Ugwuanyi's transactional politics deserve some serious studies considering the fact that the party has proved beyond any doubt to be a formidable opposition party in Nigeria politics. Have you forgotten the shameful activities of a certain Chief Ugochukwu Agballa of Enugu APC in frustrating and rubbishing the political moves of distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu?? It was the handiwork of the mercantile Orba man behind the scene. Till date Odengene, 'the butter fly that thinks himself a bird' is still hoping and colluding with dubious characters such as Kennedy Iyare to reap from where he never sowed.

But the Ebeano founder has seen what the rest of his partners in confusion never saw and decided to make hay while the sun shines. He first thought he could command Enugu people through his Ebeano gang and went further to declare, that Enugu is PDP and not Obidient. He didn't end there, he used his long time ally in the hay days of the Ebeano cult, arch Bishop Emmanuel Olisa Chukwuma of Anglican Church who made such statement on the alter of God that Enugu people are not 'Obidient'. In the two instances, both the former governor and the archbishop got severelly injured by the "baptism of fire" they separately got from media spaces. It was at this juncture that the Ebeano founder finally came to the bitter realization that nobody is actually with him in Enugu state except some fools who naively thinks he can still do those dastardly wicked things he did as a governor more than 20 years ago.
But on remembering how easily former gov. Sullivan Chime flipped him away like a weightless paper, the former gov. Nnamani decided not to impress those fools that see him as a god any longer. He quickly and perhaps smartly too, started remembering that Bola Tinubu of Lagos served at the same time he served in Enugu. He unknowingly admitted to his being inferior to Tinubu by saying that the later is Nigeria's best governor in history. This man refused to realize that his comment was a direct vote of no confidence on himself as he had every powers that Tinubu had but refused to use his own positively. While Tinubu was building Lagos and people of Lagos, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani was terrorizing Enugu and the people of Enugu.

It is only a man without shame and after his own belly that will commence an attack on the highly celebrated Peter Obi who did in Anambra stated everything Chimaroke Nnamani refused to do in Enugu state as a governor. In a sane clime, the Ebeano founder is not supposed to talk where Mr. Peter Obi is talking in terms of competence, incorruptibility, good behavior, good upbringing, education, etc. How can someone who was imprisoned by EFCC for years after his tenure, talk down on another governor who proved that one can govern a state without having any trace of corruption for eight years A man who left billions of naira in his State treasury is being attacked by a man who emptied his own state treasury while leaving office.

But then Dr. Nnamani's fateful romance with the nationally rejected APC is a welcome development to the people of Enugu state. In fact it will be a good riddance to a bad rubbish. And adage says 'whenever a deity wants to kill more than one victim at a time, it manipulates nature to gather them at one place before striking'. Ebeano is so fear striken to the extent that protecting and working for the emergence of his bad market, Peter Mbah is no longer his primary concern. He on seeing how his own rescuer, gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been rejected by his own people and currently stands no chance of winning any election in his zone, quickly read the handwriting on the wall- that the entire thing will culminate in him and the entire PDP team losing Enugu elections and therefore out of power again. In 2015 I watched in utter pity the once powerful Chimaroke Nnamani conducting a solo senatorial campaign under his PDC. I couldn't control my emotions as I watched our almighty Ebeano standing in one small open roof car along Okpara avenue with just two mobile police men, one in front and the other at the back of the car. His popular Ebeano record was playing in a megaphone attached to the roof of the car. And believe you me no other human being was seen around our Ebeano founder in his wasted efforts to test his real popularity out of power. For a man of compassion like myself it was a traumatic experience seeing Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani all alone in a small car and no other vehicle following him, wave hand at everyone passingby while no one ever took special notice that it was our former governor campaigning.
This is the reality that only Chimaroke Nnamani himself can connect with and will never allow to repeat itself again in his life time. This is the reality that the triumphant rise of Hon. C J Edeoga has created for the senator and he is using all his intellects to avert that. I read yesterday, his write up where an attempt at maintaining an elitist grandstanding was made. But it was so hollow to those of us who know his true political value in this state. In fact he is yet to come to terms with the reality that he has put a final nail on his own political coffin by this desperate move to join hands with APC at a time everything is working well for the emergence of an Igbo man as the president of Nigeria. This is because even in his home Nkanu land, it is beginning to dawn on everyone that the senator may have misled Nkanu people by manipulating Ugwuanyi to pick the worst among the Nkanu giants that declared interest for the gubernatorial ticket of PDP. Mbah is such a bad product that only his emergence has destroyed the hitherto goodwill gov. Ugwuanyi use to have, diminished and rubbished the monopolistic influence the PDP use to enjoy in Enugu politics, demystified the false godly status of the Ebeano founder, and finally damaged the chances of Nkanu people occupying lion building beyond repair.

This writer is of the view that in order to avert shame, the Nkanu leaders of thought should make efforts at approaching and making peace with Hon. Chijioke Edeoga who stands the brightest chances of emerging the next governor of Enugu State come 2023. Apologizing publicly for the actions of Chimaroke Nnamani against Edeoga during the PDP primaries will not be a bad idea now. It will help check mate the advance of the selfish interests of the former governor who currently attempts to bury the interests of the Nkanu because of his selfishness.

As Enugu people gets ready to elect C .J Edeoga, a man that has no trace of corruption just like Peter Obi as our governor, it will be a great news that the new order will not accommodate characters that will push the state back to the dark days of Ebeano who has been thoroughly demystified once again as he has commenced a journey to his final expulsion from the political chemistry of Enugu state with his lonely sourjourn into the APC - a party notorious in negativity.

Yes Edeoga has answered the clarion call of ENUGU people. We shall reward him with our votes

OPEN LETTER TO HON. BARR. CHIJIOKE JONATHAN EDEOGA

Good morning hon. Sir,

I am writing you to say a big congratulations to you for a very impressive performance at the just concluded PDP primary election. Though am in pain struggling to come out of the shock that has befallen all of us, writing you becomes imperative knowing that you have reached a height where your decision at this very painful moment of our political life will definitely affect our sociopolitical existence as Isi Uzo people in the future.

Sir permit me to inform you that without intending to show pride, I am the first person to start the Isi Uzo struggle in media spaces at least at the level of we the ordinary people of the society since the now famous ignoble treatment of Prof. Den Chris Onah in Esut. This I needed to mention here because many people have wondered how I, a young man got so committed in a political struggle such as ours. It is because right from around 2015 when this poisonous dish was served on our people through the case of Prof. Onah mentioned above I understood perfectly where we were headed to if such was allowed to stand. And unfortunately it was.

It was deeply regrettable that most of our people probably because of politics did not understand the situation as at then and therefore did not do much to challenge the situation and today we have been served the same poisonous dish in a bigger pot.

Sir, like I have said openly in social media, my joy is that you, by not stepping down for anyone even when the dark cloud engulfed you unexpectedly, failed to complete our humiliation as our adversaries had plotted. To me this shows that despite the fact that you are a politician, you understand perfectly the exact situation of things in our "Ikemefuna"- like fateful journey into another man's house, (the Enugu East Senatorial district). Note that in one of my articles earlier this year, I had alluded to Chief Jim Nwobodo's endorsement of Nkanu East LGA amidst wide clamour by the entire state for a governor of Isi Uzo LGA extraction to the awkwardly brave "Okonkwo's cutlass that chopped off Ikemefuna's head at a time the later ran to him for safety" in 'Things Fall Apart'. What I never knew then was that this allusion will latter turn prophetic as the general public all read how the governor ended up using the Jim Nwobodo to chop off Isi Uzo's political head a day before the primary election. It is noteworthy to mention emphatically that it was Chief Jim Nwobodo that came to Nsukka zone in 1996, and took away Isi Uzo LGA, and handed it over to his godson Chimaroke Nnamani in 1999 and nobody knows exactly what Chief Nwobodo must have told Dr Chimaroke Nnamani about Isi Uzo when the going was good between them. Has anyone ever wondered why Isi Uzo LGA never get any government attention during the entire 8 years tenure of Dr Chimaroke Nnamani?? Or has it occurred to anybody the reason why Isi Uzo LGA was among the five LGAs in the state whose oil boom federal allocations were embezzled by Dr Nnamani, a case he was charged for and plea bargained at the verge of conviction.

Sir, this is the time this movement cum struggle is taking its appropriate shape despite the turnout of events two days ago. And am writing to inform you that by your courage, political structure, sagacity and doggedness demonstrated in this election, you have become the face of the struggle cum movement. That you came second in the PDP gubanatorial primary election despite all the gang ups, last minute disappointments and verbal intimidation, harassment and abuse by Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani is instructive. It is time to take a stand that will forever change the political course of Enugu state and not just Isi Uzo people. It is the well considered opinion of yours sincerely after receiving numerous calls from our people across Nigeria that first, every possible legal actions be taken to recover the mandate of the delegate obliviously treacherously stolen at the dying minute. PDP as a national party knows that it cannot present a man who has been indicted severally of corrupt practices by several federal institutions to fly it's flag because it is strongly frowned at by Nigeria laws. This leaves a huge room for second runner up to be decleared winner of the election when successfully pursued in court of law.

Secondly, our people are grossly fed up with the hateful activities of Dr Chimaroke Nnamani against our people. (Note I did not mention Nkanu). It must be stated that Dr Chimaroke Nnamani and his gang, and not Nkanu are our actual problem in the zone. Every political strategy should be exploited to ensure that Dr Chimaroke Nnamani gets zero votes from Isi Uzo. If he must return back to senate, Isi Uzo people's vote must not be among the votes that will make it so. Infact if on the election day and no other party is contesting for Enugu East Senatorial district senate, let there be no election in Isi Uzo that day. There is nothing so special about supporting a ruling party that has no regard for your people as happend during Chimaroke Nnamani's wicked regime. Isi Uzo must teach Chimaroke Nnamani that he is just an arrogant, cultish, wicked, vindictive, devilish, and evil human being and nothing more. The number of open mockery and subtle threat am receiving from his boys currently for fighting for my people is a pointer to his age long character which Enugu people have confirmed over the years. His excellency Barr. Sullivan Chime had since demonstrated to the world the no near invincibility of Dr Chimaroke Nnamani. His seeming political relevance only exists in the minds of Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and his PDP leadership.

C.J Edeoga sir, please step up and lead Enugu people who have shown you solidarity and approval of the course you are fighting for out of the political bringandage the dark forces are trying to impose on the state. You have grown beyond being just an Isi Uzo man. You are now the new hope of a modern Enugu state. The hope that will rescue us from the gestapo like regime of 1999. The hope that will pilot Enugu people to the very maximal unhindered expression of their political views and right without brutish evil men visiting them with terror. The hope that will forever bury the political relevance of those who think they can be slave masters to the rest of us. Sir, aligning with other willing and committed aspirants within and without the state will not be a bad idea now and remain the expectations of majority of Enugu people in order to provide an avenue for our people and our teeming supporters the rare opportunity of proving our transducers and betrayers that we can match them in all direction. All forms of emotional attachment to PDP must be jettisoned sir CJ Edeoga. As a man who started this whole struggle at least at the level of ordinary people of our society, I can confidently tell you that this is the position of our people having received numerous calls and messages from all over Nigeria and beyond to this effect. Sir, be informed that our people are willing to start a movement that will lead us back to Nsukka, Enugu North Senatorial district if this public insult, disgrace, embarrassment etc are not corrected. It is true that our towns like Mbu, Ikem and Neke are nothing but Nike people who moved away from Nike mainland in order to expand their territory while Eha Amufu remains the same people with communities in Nkanu East LGA and Nkalagu people. But it is now obvious that this cultural and migrational relationship were never the reason for taken Isi Uzo LGA out of the very conducive Nsukka zone as has been proven in the past 26 years of our journey into a hostile and strange zone. The truth of the matter remains that Isi Uzo people are not in any way related to Agbani people and their sister communities. They can never see Isi Uzo as their brothers. In politics even Nike is not considered Nkanu enough even though Nike people are shying away from admitting it. The people of Nkanu East and West LGA together with their Awkunanaw brothers are what is actually being referred to whenever you hear the clause Nkanu land.
Sir, let me end this write up by telling you what one of our people wrote to me on social media:

"John which way Isi Uzo? Shall we continue to be on the sorry sorry story from our slave manovers in the umbrella of peaceful coexistence of second class side?" "Time to act is now ooo because later might be late".

CJ Edeoga sir, like the speaker on quote rightly stated, time for decision is now for waiting for later might actually be late. Move on and lead your people to face the task ahead, you have our support at all times no matter the turn out of events.

The choice of the title of this piece is drawn from a 2020 article written by the media guru Mr. Femi Adesina who now doubles as a media aide to General Mohammadu Buhari the President of Nigeria. Adesina was writing in response to a Sahara reporter columnist Mr. Bayo Oluwasanmi who had broken down everything he hitherto claimed to stand for by using his medium to lambast the former after soliciting for appointment from the current federal government and getting scorned. In the article Adesina in his characteristic super journalist acumen in the days of yore had used this same title if you replace the Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa with Bayo Oluwasanmi to expose all that the offender had been but which he firmly wished will never come to the public domain. One could not help but sit to enjoy the classy work of the famous writer as he took his time to demolish the false personality being paraded by Oluwasanmi all the while.

I have chosen this title for this write up after watching a certain Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa in social media pouring his hateful savages, incongruous contortion of facts, and an almost illiterate emotions against a people that has committed no offense against him or anyone at that- the Isi Uzo people. Since the emergence of Chukwuma's infamous video, I have received lots of calls from concerned Enugu citizens especially those who have been following our contributions to the ongoing debate occasioned by ka Isi Uzo Jee movement. I was been called for my opinion on the content of the video. But like Adesina would say, "I was between and betwixt" on whether to respond in kind or not to respond at all. Like the proverbial boil that grow, on the lizard's oesophagus, if I respond in kind, I run the risk of being graded in the same level with this careless speaker on discuss or even offending long time allies, admirers and sincere friends from the same quarters with Chukwuma Okenwa. If I don't respond at all, I run the risk of letting Okenwa erode all the gains we have made so far in this struggle. So it took me almost one week to take the decision of choosing the former in the hope that while we make efforts to put the record straight, our friends, allies and sincere human beings from the other side and indeed the entire state will understand that every politics is local and that the battle for Justice equity and fairness in respect to Enugu guber 2023 represents a battle for a political life for those of us who come from Isi Uzo LGA of Enugu state.
Who is Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa??
Although I have not come in contact with this man Okenwa in person, I can confirm from social media that before now, he looms larger than life on social media. A simple Check on him will show that he is director of this and that, ceo of this and that, award winner of this and that, an author and a publisher, an acclaimed youth leader etc. Not missing also is albeit his conspicuous parade of a university education, especially from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Agbani, training for this and that, and even international exposure. Now most importantly Okenwa is from Amorji ogonogoeji Ndiuno Akpugo in Nkanu West LGA of Enugu state. So Okenwa is an "Nkanu" man.

Before now, going by the above credentials which this Okenwa man parade, he is supposed to be a youth in whom every exposed mind in Enugu state is well pleased. But contrary to the Igbo adage which states that 'a man who's being watched by the public should not be the one to park ashes' Okenwa in a manner which has abysmally become characteristics of his "Nkanu" threw caution to the whirlwind and decided to adorned himself in a borrowed clannish garb and unleashed his frustrations, poor emotional intelligence cum social intelligence on Isi Uzo people. It is crystal clear from the Okenwa's tone that, him and his ilks in his armophous "Nkanu is depressed and terribly diminished by the facts that Isi Uzo LGA and its people have dominated the discuss for Enugu guber race 2023 for more that one year now. Okenwa's regurgitation of a sordid and defeated narrative that Isi Uzo LGA is of Nsukka stock and therefore should seek for political relevance in Enugu North Senatorial zone has more than any other factor pasted a huge question mark on the fact that he Okenwa attended any secondary school not to talk of any institution of higher learning. And we make haste to call on the institution which he parades its name as it's product,The Enugu State University of Science and Technology, to investigate the authenticity or otherwise of the degree he carries arround. Organizations that have given one recognition or the other to Okenwa are also hereby called to retrieve such from him having proven undeserving of any descent recognition or award. Not doing so will caste a doubt on the nobility and integrity of such organizations.

More saddening is the fact that Ephraim Okenwa partioned Enugu into three, via Nsukka, Nkanu and Agbaja cultural zones brazenly ignoring the fact that the greater Awgu people involving three LGAs are not part of Agbaja cultural zone despite belonging to the same senatorial district. Myself and other advocates of Justice, equity and fairness in Enugu 2023 had since established base on constitutional provision of the federal republic of Nigeria that there is nothing like cultural zone in the current Enugu state political lexicon. What obtains in the point of law is the Senatorial districts which came into operation from 1999 till date.

It smacks of intellectual dishonesty for Chukwuma Okenwa and his co fifth columnists to make a wide and erratic claim that Enugu East Senatorial district belong to "Nkanu" people. How can "Nkanu" people who are too small to form a Senatorial district claim ownership of Enugu East Senatorial district which was created solely because of the magnanimity of Isi Uzo people?. The saddest reality of the situation is that "Nkanu" as contrived by Okenwa and his fellow political irredentists owns no Senatorial district in Enugu state. Unlike Nsukka cultural zone which was a Senatorial district right from the creation of the old Enugu state, Okenwa's Nkanu was never big enough to form a Senatorial district on its own both in the past and in the present. That is why Nkanu formed Enugu zone with greater Awgu and Agbaja while Nsukka was on its own a Senatorial zone. It is interesting to note that the old Nsukka zone account for conservatively more than 60% of the new Enugu state. It was this reality that led to carving of Isi Uzo LGA to join Enugu zone in order to create Enugu East Senatorial district after Isi Uzo people accepted to join the Nike people who are their actual brothers as confirmed by the late Igwe Edward Nnaji of Nike Kingdom. We make bold to state that had Isi Uzo people rejected the idea of joining their Nike brothers, the stake holders would have had no option than to split the more populated Nsukka zone into two Senatorial zones leaving Nkanu and the rest to form one zone. So Isi Uzo people gave Nkanu people the enormous political freedom they have enjoyed for more than 20 years now to the exclusion of Isi Uzo LGA. Like I stated in my last write-up on the topic Enugu 2023: A TRUE TEST OF GEOPOLITICAL ARCHITECTURE OF Enugu state, without Isi Uzo LGA, there will be nothing like Enugu East Senatorial district today base on facts. And I challenge Okenwa to join me in the public debate he has called for on this issue in any media station of his choice. We have stated for the umpteenth time that if there is any group of people Known as Nkanu people in Enugu state, that Isi Uzo LGA people are parts and parcel of it because Isi Uzo towns of Mbu, Neke and Ikem all migrated from different communities in Nike to their present locations. Let me inform the general public that a research work by late Sir S. U. Ugwu as far back as 1982 and published in 1992 traced the origin of Mbu people and Ikem People to Nike and had since been corroborated by Nike people themselves. So our relationship with Nike is not a recent one. It had been on even before Ephraim Okenwa was born. So if Nike people that went to leave in the place now called Isi Uzo for expansion are not Nkanu, we ask who then is an Nkanu man??

So one wonders why Okenwa's own version of "Nkanu" keeps referring to Isi Uzo people as Nsukka 25 years after it officially severed ties with Nsukka politically. Let me explain it. Anybody who knows Nkanu land as much as I do will understand that brotherhood is a very costly commodity in the acclaimed Nkanu land. It will interest you to note that the Agbani/Akpugo axis of Nkanu is never happy whenever a Nike person is representing them. It is on record that the distinguished senator Prince Gil Emeka Nnaji had his highest opposition from Agbani/Akpugo axis of Nkanu land throughout his two term tenure in the senate. At one point a public hearing was to be held in that axis for the entire zone during the 2014 national confab, only for the usual suspects to use hoodlums and scattered the exercise in an extreme and despicable bid to wittle down the influence of the senator from Nike axis. More still, at a campaign rally in Akpugo, Senator Nnaji's Campaign team nearly lost dear lives in the hands of Okenwa's bitter Akpugo people. In Akpugo, Nkanu land today, it is very arguable to state that there is virtually no family that is at peace among themselves. In Chukwuma Okenwa's Akpugo till date, the mundane practice of 'Ohu and Amadi' still dictates the affairs of the town. Akpugo is bilaterally divided between the so called "Amadi' and Ohu". The name given to the latter by the former is "Ndi Eka ishi". Even government amenities that comes to Ephraim Okenwa's Akpugo is always haphazardly executed to the bitter exclusion of one of the groups depending on who is bringing the project. A road construction in Okenwa's Akpugo will terminate at the boundary between this two groups. Any bridge linking the two part is always left undone ones it comes from a wrong party.

The above is the environment that produced Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa which has finally eroded any impact of Education and exposure expected of a man of his calibre. Need I to talk about one community in Ephraim Chukwuma Okenwa's Akpugo that brutally murdered their traditional ruler in cold blood only three years ago? What a land where abomination is never in short supply What of his neighboring towns that are mainly from Ebonyi state whom he pretends not to know that they are culturally Ebonyi people. Towns like Amaguze, Ihuokpara, Oruku, Nkerefi, Ugbawka etc. You can understand why I say that Nkanu is an armophous group where brotherhood is a costly commodity. How can one expect civilized reasoning in a political discuss from a man who is from a troubled town. Troubled community produces troubled individuals such as Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa, who are incapable of maintaining sound logic in an advanced world no matter the level of education and exposure attained. The world has since become a global village but this self aclaimed Nkanu supremacist cannot accept his fellow Akpugo man as an equal partner in Akpugo. How then can he as an Akpugo man accept a Nike person as an equal partner in Nkanu land or an Isi Uzo person as an equal partner in Enugu East Senatorial district? You can now see the complexity of the character crisis ravaging the psyche of Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa which has defiled all manner of exposure and education.
We are by this piece puting the record straight by alerting Enugu people that what Ephraim Okenwa's Nkanu people is trying to drag the entire state into is an incurable generational crisis of the past centuries which they have allowed to fester into 21st century. It is impossible for a man who cannot accept his fellow Akpugo man to accept a Nike or Isi Uzo people as Ephraim Okenwa and his town have continued to demonstrate. But we as a state must resist this unprogressive elements among us with utmost force. Can someone tell me if Isi Uzo man can contest for senator of Enugu North Senatorial district in the current political arrangements? The answer is no. In 2011 an Isi Uzo man contested for Esut vc and worn the contest but was told that it was zoned to Enugu North Senatorial district while he now belongs to Enugu East Senatorial district. Then in 2015 he came again and contested under Enugu East Senatorial district and worn again, but Ephraim Okenwa's Nkanu people convinced the governor Chime government that an Isi Uzo man is the same thing with an Nsukka man and so the man was dropped again. The implications of this is that if the logic of Ephraim Okenwa and his clannish "Nkanu" people is allowed to fester again in 2023, then it means that no Isi Uzo man can ever be governor of Enugu state no matter how qaulified he is in the current arrangements . This is what we can never allow to happen again. If there is any iota of sense left in the peddlers of this bizzare logic, the proper thing to do will be to propagate your own candidate without excluding a constitutionally qualified people since they say all politics is local.

Last month I read one other shameful proponent of Isi Uzo exclusion by name Prof. Oguejiofor Ujam on sun news paper warning political parties not to choose anybody from Isi Uzo as it's candidate, as according to him such a person will not be able to win in a free and fair election. I will as usual still respond to Prof. Ujam in due course but may we hereby challenge Ujam for a popularity contest online between his Nkanu and Isi Uzo on this topic. As things are now we are calling on all Isi Uzo stakeholders to rise to the occasion by spreading their tentacles. Isi Uzo has always determined who wins election in Enugu East Senatorial district and we will determine who wins Enugu guber election in 2023. We call on all parties to pick their guber candidates or at least their deputies from Isi Uzo and cruize to victory. This is the only way to cure this madness on our brothers from Nkanu. All it will take his Excellency Senator Ike Ekweremadu to win the guber election is a deputy from Isi Uzo. And we urge him and his team to look in that direction if they want to win in any party. We are taking this to this extent since our Nkanu brothers don't want to be sensitive to our needs. Enugu East Senatorial district can never exist or succeed without Isi Uzo. If the zone wish to have the governoship slot then the stake holders should rally behind Isi Uzo for we have allowed them too long to exclude us from the zone we created and now it can't continue that way.

A look at the political trajectory of Isi Uzo people in Enugu East shows that we have never gained anything whenever the governor or the senator is from Nkanu. Obvious exception to this is sen. Prince Gil Emeka Nnaji who sited a federal project to Isi Uzo after yours sincerely presented to him the issue of Isi Uzo people's marginalization towards the end of his tenure. So apart from sen. Nnaji, no politician from Nkanu has ever done anything for Isi Uzo people since 1999 till date. We benefited from His Excellency Barr. Sullivan Chime who constructed a road from Ugwuogo Nike to Ikem. So it will not be a bad idea if we work with Enugu West if Nkanu people continue to call us Nsukka people despite the available facts.

We are also calling on all stake holders of Enugu East Senatorial district that their silence is no longer golden on this issue. We want to hear a cautioning voice from people like Sen. Jim Nwobodo, Sen. Ken Nnamani, Sen. Gil Nnaji, Igwe Nnaji Palace at Nike, Hon. Cornelius Nnaji, Hon. Edward Ubosi etc. We are not at the mercy of anyone in the zone for any reason. We have a sound option if Nkanu continue calling us Nsukka in order to exclude us from the zone. We will naturally work with any other zone that recognized us as Chime from Enugu West did and the current governor Ugwuanyi is doing.

Wait oooo!!! Did I forget that Ephraim Chukwuma Okenwa is a graduate of Esut Agbani? Without intending to offend our dear other worthy Esut graduates, may I state that being from Chukwuma Okenwa's Nkanu and graduating from Esut Agbani is a bad combination and should be discouraged at all costs because it produces scoundrels like Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa (CEO).
