Going to d university doesn't mean all u do der is just read and write. It's an all round development. Before graduation u ave to pass tru series of test wic include seminars defence ,practical work etc. U might be good in reading and writing and not bee confident of wat u know. Some xternal forces also affect grade, more also over confidence. U getting high score before admission does not guarantee u first class or 2 one.
