Car Talk / Re: I Bought 10k Fuel = 8L, My Car Used It Up With 19km Drive, Is It Okay? (pics) by Connoisseur(m): 5:55pm On Sep 13
BlindAngel:
Good morning Nairalands, after all work on my car to stop gulping up fuel.

Yesterday, I bought 10,000 naira fuel, which is 8 liter, I rode the car to test the fuel usage, but right now I don't know if my meter is in miles or km, but I will attached the pic's of my meter for experts here to help me out.

I need to know if it's okay for 8L of fuel to run for 19km. Please help because I intend selling it this morning, I already have a buyer and I'm kind enough to explain the fuel gulping situation to him, please help me if it's okay for the car to use 8L fuel with 19km drive.

It's a Toyota Camry 2008
4 plug

Unless the pictures you posted are wrong!

What I see is 22 miles on the odometer which is around 35 kms on 8 litres. Also, factor that you ain't sure you got complete 8 litres.

Which is approximately 4.5km/l on city drive. This would surely get around 7-8 ks/litre on the highway. If this is true, I don't think it's as bad as you make it seem.

Gazzuzz would have explained better☹️
I miss Gazzuzz 🥲

There's no difference between marriage in the Church and the Court.

Both are marriages under the Act.

Foreign Affairs / Trump Shooting: The Other Side Of The News by Connoisseur(m): 8:15pm On Jul 17
Okay, this is pure fiction.
This is just an imaginative reconstruction of what happened at what has become the Trump assassination attempt.

The knowns:
- Dead shooter
- picture of the bullet as it whizzes by
- defiant Trump as he emerges with a bleeding ear and raised fist
- information from the secret service that shows they had the shooter in their scope three minutes before the first shot
- other relevant information

The what ifs:
- the picture of the whizzing bullet was edited before hand to create that effect
- Trump actually caused that injury to himself while squatting behind the podium to fit the picture narrative
- the secret service allowed the shooter to take the shots to give the sympathy narrative we have now
- the shooter was just a misguided fellow who was recruited into thinking he was going to assassinate Trump.

The questions:
- why and how do they know the name of the dead shooter within minutes of the shooting but took several hours to identify the dead fire man
- the calmness of the crowd before, during and after the shooting

Just the other side of the news🤪

This out of court settlement is because of the player (F.ote$) involved. If it were to be someone like us, they will drag the matter for years, hire the most expensive SANs to intimidate and bamboozle the court to submission.

One day, I am going to win my case against Access Bank and FCMB🙏

For your peace of mind, avoid any company with "Foodstuff" or "Trading company" to their name from Dubai.

For your ultimate peace of mind, don't trade commodities with any Dubai based company.
These ones can even issue fake LCs.

Business / Re: Can A Bank Be Held Liable For Negligence To Non-customers? by Connoisseur(m): 12:39pm On Apr 22
dalitigator:

Your question is quite confusing. If I may ask, where is the location of the bank issuing the Letter of Credit?
The LC was issued by a foreign bank (Italian) bank listing my company as beneficiary.

Do you per-chance mean that a local bank issued an LC in favour of the importer for the benefit of the Exporter's bank (Foreign)?

I am an exporter. The LC was issued in our favour. It's an inward Letter of Credit.

Kindly clarify.

Thanks
Business / Re: Can A Bank Be Held Liable For Negligence To Non-customers? by Connoisseur(m): 12:47pm On Apr 21
Nice insights.

What would you say in this scenario;
A bank advised an inward Letter of Credit (LC)to their exporter customer. This exporters exports goods on the strength of this LC and transmits shipping documents to the bank. The bank forwards the documents to the LC (foreign) issuing bank as the LC dictates.

Somehow, the cargo is cleared without payment. After investigation, the supposed issuing bank confirms that they did not issue the LC. The local bank denied responsibility even though their letter stated that the LC has been authenticated by them.

With this scenario and the duty of care principle, do you think the bank here is liable or not?

Please who can help me solve this maths with workings attached?

Distance = speed * time
165 = (x-22) * 2 :from the question
165 = 2x - 44
2x = 165 + 44
x = 209/2
x = 104.5

That means the average speed on the return leg was 104.5km/h

The average speed on the first leg is therefore 104.5 + 22 = 126.5km/h

Time averaged on the first leg is;
165/126.5 = ~ 78mins
1hr 18 mins

Instead of your favourite candidate to give the government advice on this economy issue he is busy throwing blame upandan just to look good before his followers. I hate hypocrisy

You hate hypocrisy but you want the man you didn't see fit for the job to advice the man you know couldn't do the job but you elected anyways.

Yes, I am disturbed by my friends who lost their jobs in Intercontinental Bank when the gang of thieves whom Ogun go soon kee all of them illegally stole the bank from the owners.

Have you forgotten that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who was used for the illegality has been disgraced and humiliated twice ?

What about Bukola Saraki that was the thief that initiated the evil plan? He is fighting to keep his ancestral home from being pulled down in the state that he and his family once lord over.

Several others involved in that Intercontinental Bank illegality will pay dearly

I remember the Intercontinental Bank saga. It was prophesied, several months in advance, that a group was planning to take over five major banks. The report listed the banks to be taken over and the actors involved in the takeover.
The takeover played out before our eyes in the most ostentatious circumstances. Access bank , a smaller bank both in market share and capitalization, swallowed a giant; Intercontinental Bank.

It was the greatest of scams using government cover and protection. They still hounded Erastus Akingbola for trying to fight.

I don't know about Karma because many alive did worse things and ain't dead yet, but I know with his death, I remember the fraud that benefited him and his cronies.
