Nukilia: You will never see protests in the North against these killers. I am of the opinion that there is a spell on this nation.
Americans cannot be losing their lives like this without the state declaring emergency on such killers. Within 48hrs, all security in the country would be on standby till the perpetrators are caught.
Before the paid APC bots start foaming all over this post, know that an average life is worthless to the political class. FG hahve been engaging spoilt religious leaders to tell their followers that protest of any form is against the teaching of religion. So they should be prayful so that God will intervene |

Nnamdipapa: Ok, today I was out to do an oil change and decided to branch by my favorite Afghani store where I usually buy provisions when in the vicinity. Now, I came across an organic crate of egg for $16.99, 30 medium sized eggs in a crate. Now, I remembered I spoke with a friend in Lagos last week who priced a similar crate of egg at 6000Naira, Yes ! you heard me right! 6000Naira! Folks in Nigeria do not know how good they have it Living in Nigeria so next time you complain about Nigeria, remember a fresh organic crate of egg goes for N6000 and things are way cheaper in Nigeria compared to the western countries.
So, there is something that should make one happy living in Nigeria I am waiting on pins and needles for the minimum wage crew. How much are you earning weekly/monthly compare to your folks in 9ja? |

Travel › Re: My First Time In Turkey - Istanbul Stole My Heart by Coolgent(m): 9:22am On Aug 14, 2025 |
thesolosister: Last year September, I finally ticked Turkey off my bucket list. I’m a Nigerian women from Port Harcourt, and I had been saving for almost a year for this trip. My main goal was to explore Istanbul and taste their food I always saw on YouTube.
The visa process was not too stressful because I applied early. I booked a cheap Airbnb near Sultanahmet Square so I could walk to most tourist spots.
On my first morning, I visited the Blue Mosque, architecture is out of this world. Then I got lost in the Grand Bazaar (and I didn’t mind at all 😅). I bought a handmade scarf for my mum and some Turkish delights that almost finished before I came back.
My favorite part of the trip was the Bosphorus cruise at sunset. Sitting on the deck, watching the city lights reflect on the water, and hearing the call to prayer in the background… it felt magical.
One funny thing is "a shop owner thought I was from Brazil until I told him I was Nigerian". He smiled and said, “Nigeria... Good football” 😂
Honestly, Istanbul is a place I would visit again. If you love history, food, and shopping, just go. You won’t regret it. Wow nice one. Can you tell me how much you spent everything inclusive? |

Putinofrussia: So also is 100k in 2006 cannot buy what 8k can buy in 1987.
In1990, a 50k bag of rice cost N350.
In 2006, a 50kg bag of rice in Nigeria cost ₦6,000.
In 2025,a 50k bag of rice cost N70,000. Let us do the maths.
6000 divided by 350 gives ~ 17.
70,000 divided by 6000 gives ~ 11.6= 12(approx)
Comparing the two with the space of 16 and 19 years,Tinubu has done better because price went up 17 times in 1990 (space of 16 years to 2006) even with the fraudulent Fuel Subsidy.
In 2025,with the removal of the fraudulent Fuel Subsidy, price only went up approximately,12 times (and things are still coming down exponentially, we pray)
Kudos to President Tinubu for having got the gut to make these hard decisions that brings prosperity to Nigerians soonest.. May your life be like Tinubu's administration. Say amen |

Auxtan: My salesgirl understands my business to the point I am considering to just make her my family.
I don't do an easy business and I am looking to scale, which means someone that understands this business is vital for that to happen and preferably a family member.
Now I am thinking of marrying her and also in the process leaving the relationship/dating market that is a distraction.
I don't have issues whatsoever with this my salesgirl in terms of character and even accountability, she's just perfect in those aspects, but my problem is her age.
Right now, I am just thinking of taking this decision of killing 2 birds with a stone might just be the best for me, one is settling down and two is marrying someone that understands my business.
Is a 29 year old man too big for an 18 year old girl? What's the general public perception of it?
PS: For the main time, I haven't made moves on her. But my interviews on her so far shows she's not looking to enter the high institution anytime soon (probably due to funds). But if I become comfortable with the age gap that is my major concern, I'd make moves on her and see if it will be possible. I'm trying to assess general views on marrying girls in their teen like her. I see nothing wrong with seeking her hand in marriage since she checked all the boxes. I have being married for years without any issue despite similar age difference. |
