How come ilegal immigrants were showing up at our border and some of them successfully made refugee claims. Note that majority of them did not have Canadian visas. Most were ilegal in US. They fled up north when Trudeau tweeted about Canada being welcoming to people fleeing prosecution. Some just came straight from overseas and immediately found there way to the border. No Canadian visa whatsoever.

While majority were not granted asylum and deported, some were granted asylum. Canada aims to process everyone of them (fair hearing).
