PoliticsRe: Fashola Orders OPD To Sue NSCDC by corperscorner: 5:39am On Sep 05, 2013
Dis shii is quite obvious,
1.) d pple involved reported to d police...
2.) D police took dem to nnpc ofis to notify dem
3.) Nnpc officials took it up from der n did d sealin
4.) NSCDC showed up n laid d arrest...

NSCDC doesn't have an "all-seeing" eyes. Dey mustv been tipped off by someone who was skeptical abt d fact dat oil showed up in someone's well all of a sudden.
And the someone in this particular context is no other but NNPC.
So, its very obvious NNPC ordered the arrest.
NSCDC is just a dog dat was made to chase a armed thief....the person dat sent d dog on d stupid mission won't feel the agony the dog would feel from gettin hit with a stick.

NNPC is just one inconsiderate organization dat has no regards for people's integrity. Der oga's head like pipeline cheesy

D Xperience of a Chemical Engnrn Grad.

I set out for an interview of a job I applied for some few weeks back, neatly dressed with a red tie and black suit. To my surprise, the address of the company happens to be a bungalow located at Mushin8-|. I initially felt the company prolly prefers keeping a low profile, so I entered the building to find out I was in the passage of a face-me-i- slap- u haus:]xx. I strtd developing a rage from within, but the optimistic syd of me told me to go ahead as they would say "winners neva quit", I went ahead and asked after one Mr Segun Bamgbose who happens to be the Managing Director of the aforesaid company and to my surprise, a boy pointed to a door with worn strings and told me, "won sun lorwor"~:-).*he is sleeping*

@Jobberman247.....u be yeye man.
Anyways, the agency only asked us to pay a procurement fee for the facilities they provided us with during the test. And that was what got me skeptical in the first place. I just decided to risk it bro, and it worked. I initially tot it was one of dese useless scam jobs.
It wasn't until I got the job I got to realise the seeking company had alredy paid for the services, which is probably why they didn't place any commission on remuneration.

Everything in Life is worth giving a trial.

NICE WORK......*thumbs up*
I secured my current work at Regency Alliance PLC through this same agency (Bernard Benson Ltd).

I was a bit skeptical when I got a mail that I'v been shortlisted for a computer-based aptitude test, which took place at their office in Victoria Island, just to get a mail notification to come for my induction course and appointment letter.

It would be really nice if all companies could adopt an open procurement platform and not the usual:
"Connection" things.

NYSCPregnant Corp Member Sentenced To Jail by corperscorner(op): 9:33am On Jul 17, 2013
An Abuja Magistrate Court last Friday sentenced a 28-year-old pregnant woman to a month imprisonment for impersonating as a corps member. Emefor Ifeoma was convicted for offences contrary to Sections 133 of the Penal Code.
Prosecutor Ephraim Lukas told the court that the accused was arrested at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa on July 15, 2010 and arraigned alongside one Faith Ihuoma, who jumped bail.
He said Ifeoma claimed to be a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and was found to be carrying an identity card purported to have been issued by the NYSC through one faceless Obinna for N30,000.

Sergeant Lukas further stated that the accused got married and became pregnant in the course of the trial, while her alleged accomplice also got married and has a baby. He said the accomplice was re-arrested and re-admitted to bail.
Magistrate Ndukwe sentenced Ifeoma to one month imprisonment or to pay a fine of N5,000, while her alleged accomplice case was adjourned to August 3, having sought for bail.
NYSCParents Asked To Keep Away From NYSC Camp by corperscorner(op): 9:00pm On Jul 16, 2013
Parents of corps members have been urged to keep away from the NYSC orientation camp for the 21 days of their stay. Chairman, NYSC Governing Council, Lagos State, Dr Wale Ahmed made this appeal during the swearing-in of 2013 Batch ‘B’ corps members held at Ipaja orientation ground, Lagos.

According to Ahmed, the call has become necessary to allow for full concentration and participation of corps members in skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development geared towards self sustenance after their service year.

”Members of the public especially parents and relations should keep away from the orientation camp and allow corps members concentrate on the activities designed for a very successful orientation course.”

Ahmed who urged the 2151 corps members to take all activities during the 21 days seriously, equally tasked them to maintain a high standard of discipline.

Speaking in the same vein, Governor Babatunde Fashola in his address charged the corps members to take very seriously the numerous lectures and other programmes organised by the NYSC. He said; “I am aware that the orientation course content has been expanded to include skills acquisition and training.” He reiterated that the lectures are meant to equip them with requisite skills that will be needed in the nearest future, and as a means of avoiding the scourge of graduate unemployment.

Affirming his confidence in the corps members, Fashola said; “As agents of change and development, the state is looking up to you for physical transformation and technological ideas that will add to the socio-economic development in our rural health scheme, educational sector, combating the scourge of HIV/AIDS, poverty and other challenges bedevilling our society.”

According to him, the service year comes with great expectations from host communities stressing that as the immediate beneficiaries of their service, much will be expected of them.

On nation building,Fashola, whose speech was read by Dr Wale Ahmed stated that it is a collective effort of Nigerians and the corps members to be ready to face challenges that come with it. He, however, assured them that his administration has put everything in place to guarantee their security.

On her part, NYSC coordinator, Lagos State, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi noted that the orientation course is aimed at instilling in corps members leadership qualities of perseverance, diligence, dedication, determination, loyalty, integrity and zeal. Others include; courage, self-reliance, discipline of mind as well as ability to live amicably. with others under any circumstance.
NYSCMuslim Group Seeks Separate Camps For Male And Female NYSC Members by corperscorner(op): 8:19pm On Jul 16, 2013
The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has called on the management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to stop mixing males and females during physical exercises at its orientation camps for corps members.

The group, an umbrella organisation for Islamic groups in Northern Nigeria, said mixing males and females violates Islamic tenets and called on the authorities concerned to put members of different sex in different camps.

The JNI Secretary General, Khalid Abubakar, said this at the end of a peace and unity conference for Muslim scholars in Kaduna State on Thursday in preparation for the annual Ramadan lecture expected to kick off at the weekend.

Mr. Abubakar called on the NYSC to respect the decency and chastity of female corps members during physical exercises and other activities at the orientation camps, and provide alternative camps for female Muslim corps members.
