You forget to mention oyo give benin fews days to leave lagos or face the consequences before benin leave avoiding oyo war armies...have the world remember Yoruba was ruler over Arabs,Egyptian,greek,roman,latin...no one remember that ethiopian worship Yoruba God Shango called him "Sargon"

Everything in history is a function of time, unfortunately our lifespan is too short to have a grasp of the trend. How many people today, remember Arabs sacked Romans in Jerusalem and ruled it for close to 1000 years? Over historical time, boundaries are very fluid. How many yorubas or Igbos know they were once together as a tribe? How many of us remember Spain was ruled by Arabs for over 800 years? Spain was known as Andalusia.
So, the events of Ilorin and Old Oyo are roughly events of 200 years. They could be reversed in the course of time peacefully or violently depending on the sophistication of the coming generations.
We don't have to see the Fulanis in bad light. In the days of the kingdoms and empires, such was the order of the day, you either conquer or you're conquered. Similar thing happened in other parts of Yoruba land. When old Oyo collapsed, Benin empire began to make incursion into Yoruba land; Ekiti, Owo, Ondo, parts of Ijebu, and Lagos came under the sphere of Benin influence. As at today, those influences and reigns have been successfully rolled back without a gun shot. Yorubas are special people who think before they act and prefer to use their head than their strength.[/quote]

Olodo...out of Yoruba and mali senegal who is older pass...maybe malian senegale own yoruba culture and tradition..stupid demonized zombies quote author=Jetleeee post=55327692]

Agbada is not Hausa attire oo. It's actually from the Mali-Senegambian region

Both Yorubas and Hausas borrowed it.

I don't know about Babanriga but Agbada is unique because we mainly use Aso ofi material

Yoruba are mighty people real children of Olodumare that gave birth to others... Yoruba itself it Unic peaceful people who develop mathematics and alphabet...all languages used worldwide today originated from a single Yoruba language alphabet. For example if you want to say America....A in Yoruba mean We, Us,Everybody,A is include everybody.....which ancient black Greek that gave birth to English, Portuguese, spanish, dutch, german, english all borrow to have proper pronouncation of AMERICA English A is useless. Another sample is EDUCATION you have correct pronunciation they must borrow Ẹ from yoruba for proper pronouncation of ẸDUCATION not EDUCATION ...Yoruba are people of heaven decend to earth to civilized mankind or any kind of man kind.. Yoruba language is cosmos language of heaven which others originated from as pigin. Igbo, ugbo, and others are baby children of alborignal indigenous Yoruba of ife spiritual home of Yoruba...history of Yoruba is deep NDIGBO NRI IS YORUBA OYO/IFE CIVILIZATION and Obatala is Yoruba not igbo, igbo, ancient black Egyptian, ethiopian, original ancient black Arab/greek/Assyrian, others are just children of Anu of ancient aboriginals Yoruba. The real first old people on earth first creation were the Yoruba.... Deep meaning of Yoruba means Sky, land, ocean, mountain, spirits, palm trees, sugar cane, air, fog.yoruba have no end and it difficult for later commer people to have deep knowledge of their ancestors end. Olodumare made it that way... You can never hear Yoruba claiming any land they are quiet and well civilized coz they have secret of their earth and spirits world creation.
