I seriously wonder how a sitting president becomes the lawyer to a terrorist organisation. It further goes to prove some of the things that have been said before. The man is a tribalistic person. Would have done the same if it was OPC or boko haram. Whichever is the case, a president does not defend known and self confessed terrorists.

I rest my case

I write as a concerned Nigerian.
I grew under IBB regime knowing these people as either State Secret Service or State Security Service SSS. Very little was known of them and their members. It was like a cult. I know cos have been in the picture for a very long time.
So lets review the main issue critically;

Ogar said the tutorial video focused on how to become a hacker and steps to take to avoid detection in the process of hacking web servers.The DSS spokesperson said the services also discovered that APC registered under-aged persons including several infants and babies, foreigners, security personnel as members of the party.

Now lets objectively and intelligently review these issues one after the other
1. They found video hacking tutorials at the place.
a. Anyone with a little IT can possess video hacking tutorials. Moreover, ethical hacking is thought everywhere.
b. For crying out loud if a party planned to hack an institution like INEC, they will not employ learners that require video tutorials to know what to do. If you plan to do such a thing, you will go for the very best and foreigners if possible.

2. APC registered infants, military and security personnel as members.
a. This is really not an issue. Its not the business of a service like the DSS who a party registers as its member especially when there is no law against it. Parties lay claim to party strength all the time. Its part of the propaganda.

lastly, we expect more from the DSS. At this level of civilization, I would have loved to hear that a confession has been extracted, that some top party chieftains have been arrested and a strong case has been prepared. Its very shameful that such an allegation has been made only because a hacking video was found. As far as am concerned, this is another waste of our precious time. The DSS should stop heating the polity unnecessarily, they should get their facts right before caling a press conference because if it continues in this fashion, it would loose its relevance and the trust of the Nigerian people. We cant continue to play politics with our national security. This was what we did with boko haram and today its a big mess we have found impossible to solve.

Nice write up...only wish we were doing more to show that we are in difficult times and implementing austerity measures...with all the prediction of gloom in 2015, we are still acquiring jets and spending billions on food and foreign travels.
the easiest way for a govt to pass the message of austerity would have been to show the impact of the austerity on itself...but we see none of that..instead the govt continues to feed fat...
why then should NLC not demand for increase in the minimum wage after all our real income has reduced as a people...

Jonathan, who called for a one-minute silence in honour of the bombed schoolchildren and teachers at the Government Science Secondary School, Potiskum, Yobe State, insisted that his administration would win the war against terrorism .

The car jerks when firing and stops totally at times. It also has a funny sound when trying to start it.

Two different mechanics have given diagnosis so am now even very skeptical it all. First one says its plugs and fuel filter. The other mechanic says the plugs are fine and that its the fuel pump.

Any professional suggestions.
