Tolyna04:Receiving such msg is hard..but don't despair you got this far it's a sign you're on track. I don't know if you're a beginner or you've been coding for long. Nonetheless, if you think your coding challenge hampered your chance, my advice would be to solve challenges (algorithm). You can start in a place like hackerrank, just try solving enough question in the implementation section -believe me, you only need little practice with algorithms to scale through any algorithmic problem you will ever face in andela pre-botcamp and bootcamp. As much as I hate famzing and networking, I think it's quite helpful in this situation. Reach out to fellows or people that have been to bootcamp before. Ask them enough question. In fact interview them, lol. With these you will avoid certain mistakes they've made. All the best |
Homestudy test Deadline is today and I just took the test. Hopefully, that's not a problem. |
tippyboy:Thanks. Issue resolved |
Nastydroid:True. I messaged Andela and Saberr and they confirmed it. Thanks. |
Hello house, I have not gotten my saberr test link. although I already took the test for a previous cycle. I was thinking that should suffice, but just to confirm I'm not the only one experiencing this. Also, I have sent Andela a msg, complaining, but I'm yet to get a response. Abeg wetin make I do? This might be my last chance and I don't want to miss it. |
silento:All you need do is sign up on hackerrank. You'll find a Contest tab above, click that and you should find Week of Code 34. |
silento:What do you mean? CP = Competitive Programming Do you mean you didn't find any competition on Hachkerrank? |
deedat205:Hi, good to know there are people interested in stuffs like cp (competitive programming) here in Nigeria. So, I have been searching for a strong community online/offline centered mainly on algorithm and competitive programming here in Nigeria. My search has been futile. What I'm looking for are like minds who are passionate about algorithms and problem solving in general. I was a participant in that contest (Week of Code 33 on hackerrank) in your post, that was my first on hackerrank. The experience was awesome but I think it could have been better if there was a community. Don't get me wrong I don't believe in self deception such as code sharing am just looking for a community. Since have not seen any "working" community here in my country. I wouldn't mind if we could be some kind of programming buddies or just start an active community, probably on whatsapp or here on Nairaland. BTW, I will be participating in WOC 34 on hackerrank starting tomorrow. If you share the same thought with me. just respond on the thread or request my mail... |
I do python and I focused on python during the last application process, flunked anyways. I'm reapplying but with the new info as regard Javascript wouldn't it be advisable to just stick with Javascript? |
collinic:Just chill. It should come anytime soon but if you don't get it soon enough you can always send Andela a mail -that worked for me. |
I completed my test about a week ago. I logged in few days ago and I noticed challenge #14 seems not to have been attempted (i.e 0% for that challenge). I'm quite sure I attempted and submitted everything. I would like to know if anyone else has this issue -that will, probably, confirm it's a glitch from their system. With this, hopes are getting seriously low! |
