all4naija: The most funny thing about you is that you think those problems are not in your society committed by your people. I think you are very silly! That explains it all.The point is you've exported filth from Nigeria and when you get kicked in the backside as you deserve to be, you plead innocence. There's no such thing as an innocent monkey. Even you aren't innocent. Maybe Somalis, shame, are innocent. But monkies? Nooit nie! |
Discovery of illegal meth labs in Lagos worries Fashola Nicholas Ibekwe Published: January 30,2013 Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos The growing discovery of illegal methamphetamine production plants in Lagos is giving the Lagos State Government and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, serious concern. NDLEA has discovered five such laboratories in the last two years with four of them located in Lagos. The laboratories were located in Monkey Village, Iba; Daily Times Estate, Satellite town; Silver Estate, Isolo; and Lekki. “The new discovery of clandestine laboratories for methamphetamine production in Lagos is the first alarm of insecurity in the state,”Mr. Fashola said at a meeting with NDLEA’s boss, Ahmadu Giade, at the state house in Alausa on Tuesday. “Since crimes like armed robbery, rape are often committed under the influence of drugs, we must first fight drugs in order to fight crime. At this time of high security challenges, drug control should be a high priority issue. Every society that wants to promote peace and security must fight drugs,” he added. Someone has taught the monkeys how to make drugs. Shocker: Illegal drug factories flourish in Nigeria JANUARY 12, 2013 BY COMFORT OSEGHALE NDLEA officials with a suspect at an illegal drug factory in Nnewi, Anambra | credits: A little known problem steadily creeping into the Nigerian society is the rising number of factories where metamphetamie is produced. The white, odourless and bitter drug easily dissolves in water or alcohol. It can be taken orally, intravenously or by smoking and snorting. In street parlance, the drug is known as as ‘paya’ or ‘meth’. It became popular among Nigerian drug users for its capacity to enhance sexual performance and for its medical property as a pain killer. For some time, meth was imported into the country by drug barons perpetually on the lookout for quick profits. They began to distribute the drug in capsules known as D10 and addicts found it easy to purchase it over the counter. Meth is commonly used by wrestlers and touts locally. Along the line, drug addicts found other substitutes for meth; ephedrine and procaine powder. |
Cusubaba: We don't do drugs in Nigeria. There's a gross mistruth, if I ever saw one! |

Understanding the Brain-Drain in the African Diaspora: Focusing on Nigeria Jessica A. Adefusika, University of Rhode IslandFollow As the most populated country in Africa, Nigeria represents a large percentage of the African Diaspora, especially in the United States. One study estimates that there are more than 21,000 Nigerian Medical Doctors practicing in the United States alone in the 21st century. Meanwhile Nigeria domestically falls short of the minimum World Health Organization standard of 20 Physicians per 100,000 people. Put urgently, Nigeria is losing human resources necessary for its socio-economic growth. The purpose of this research is to understand the cause of the Nigerian brain-drain, the socio-economic impact, and ways to reverse the effects of the brain drain, thereby creating a brain-gain. The study is based on literary reviews and my surveys and interviews of Nigerians between the ages of 18-45, which indicates that the Nigerian brain-drain is a product of both “internal” and “external” factors working simultaneously to push Nigerians out of their country and pull them into developed nations respectively. Educated Monkeys in the diaspora. Nothing to brag about. |

Transborder Crimes and Nigeria’s Global Reputation: An Analysis by Gerald EZIRIM In this paper, we showed that the incidence of transborder crimes involving Nigerians had been on the increase over the years, and this had orchestrated a lot of bad publicity for the Nigerian State, giving her the image of a country lacking commitment to crime enforcement. However, we note that inasmuch as the government had been making efforts to curb these crimes, it has not done enough to indicate commitment and so the need for more efforts to be put in place. There is the need for the agencies given the job of cleaning the Nigerian image to be given all the necessary incentives to do their job well. We note finally, that the recent image laundering effort would be useless unless there is concerted effort on the part of government to re-orientate Nigerians, tackle poverty and also make the polity conducive for business and survival. We recommend that the Nigerian government must come to terms with the right attitude and commitment to governance and crime enforcement. |

African Immigrants Rioting In China June 22, 2012 Posted by admin under By Eric Patton No Comments Several hundred Nigerian immigrants protested in Guangzhou City, China, demanding that local police return the body of a fellow African who died in police custody. According to some estimates, this was the first-ever large-scale protest organized by immigrants in China. Regime mouthpiece Xinhua estimated that only 100 took part in the protest, while the state-run Global Times said hundreds were involved. Photos circulated throughout the Chinese Internet showed at least 100 protesters. There is a sizable community of Africans in Guangzhou’s Yuexiu District where the demonstration took place, with estimates of between 20,000 and 200,000 living there. Many of the immigrants came from West Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. On Tuesday, the immigrant protesters blocked roads, held banners, and shouted, “Give us back the dead body!” Some referred to the man who died as “my brother.” State-run reports suggest the man was Nigerian.

RISKY ILLEGAL EMIGRATION FROM NIGERIA: SYMPTOM OF VULNERABILITY,FRUSTRATION OR A SEARCH FOR MEANING? By: EROHUBIE Mic Introduction:Nicole Smith, purports that immigration has been a steady presence in policy andpublic discussions for decades in the US and there are traditionally two sides to the discussion; “On the one hand, there are U.S. citizens who feel their jobs or society is at stake due to the ongoing influx of non-citizens, and on the other, there are those who understand the complex reasons that drive people, often to desperate lengths, to enter the country”. It's just who they are. Simple.
