MATERIALS AND FINISHING OF OUR HDF DOORS

Definition

HDF is a reconstituted wood panel, it is the acronym for High Density Fibreboard. The wood fibres are glued and compressed with synthetic resin through a combination of heat and pressure in the latest generation of continuous press.

Base raw material
These panels are produced with pine and eucalypt wood, cut from sustainable cultivated forests so, HDF is an environmentally friendly product. Plantation forests allow the large scale use of wood, so reducing the pressure on native woodland.

Characteristics
HDF is a panel whose main feature is its high density, with smooth surfaces on both sides, which is suitable for doors.

Finishing options
1. Natural (without covering)
The panels are left uncovered by veneer.

2. Low pressure laminated
In low pressure lamination, a paper-based overlay, impregnated with melamine resin. The panels can be smooth or textured, in plain colours, a wood grain pattern or fancy designs. Low pressure lamination provides a finish highly resistant to surface scratches and stains, as well as to an infestation of micro-organisms.

3. Finish foil (FF) or ecological laminate (LE) covered
A specially varnished paper-based overlay is laminated over the HDF board through a process of heat and pressure. The panel is supplied in plain colours, a wood grain pattern or a fancy design, with various surface options such as standard, coatable or ready varnished in high gloss or semi-matt finish.

4. Painted (gloss or semi-matt)
The HDF panel is painted or lacquered in plain colours, a wood grain pattern or a fancy design, it gives the door a lasting finishing that will last for years.

ARMOURED BULLETPROOF SECURITY DOORS

1. The armoured lock is protected by 2 drilling resistant manganese plates.

2. The bodies of the main and additional locks are installed in protective steel boxes.

3. Higher security hinges have height adjustment mechanisms.

4. On the hinge side, there are eight 16mm diameter locking points.

5. On the lock side, there are six locking points and 2 additional points directed upwards and downwards. A separate protective sleeve secures each lock pin in the door frame.

6. The door leaf is of a combined structure: grating, steel sheet and grating again, so even if the outside grating was damaged, the door is still protected by the steel plate and inside grating.

7. Double thermal insulation: a 3 cm layer of rock wool on both sides of the steel sheet. It provides excellent noise and thermal insulation for the door.

8.The entire ultra-strong structure of the door is covered by finishing board whose colour and design can be customized.

9. The lock pins are protected against damage not by steel sheet, but by a 15 mm thick bent profile.

10. The frame is fixed in the opening by 17 pins, protected by steel liners of 24 mm.
