What exactly are people using dollar for that is increasing the demand? Nigeria is using naira but dollar is what is controlling the naira. I don’t get it. We should kuku be using dollar as our money in Nigeria.

Throwback:
The next step is to outlaw forex processing for foreign education for a minimum of 10yrs.

Any Nigerian that wants to be educated abroad should look for the money abroad.

We have schools here that can take those huge amounts of Naira we employ to buy forex for UK or American or Canadian education.

We need to jump-start our tertiary education system with better infrastructure, improved quality of education, improved salaries, and improved school fees.

Tough times require tough measures.

Not tough but stupid measures
You will just block dollar inflows and price will go up
Emefiele tried and even he rescinded the stupid order

Lol look at them

This is why you 9-5 job workers should stick to civil service and farming and let capitalists run the economy .

You people from that side are naturally not entrepreneurs . You have no idea how to run a business , how will you run a country ?

Stick to your salary Jobs, you say no
Stick to farming , you say no
Stick to your carpentry and artisanal businesses. , you no gree .

You say you must run the country. Say you dey sophisticated. But you think a country can grow under a socialist system of welfare benefits , and government patronage and control . A palliative economy while free enterprise suffers .

Instead of turning the country into a production. base , na to dey shook eye for other people money. Is that the best you can do ? I dont blame you tho. You cannot give what you don’t have .

But go and do your research, those countries that went the way of Karl Max and Lenin , where dem dey now ?

don't worry

Good for the economy.

A government that is bold enough to remove subsidies should not be afraid of any backslash that may arise from any measure to save the naira.

Let all remittances be converted to the naira equivalent so the government can have enough dollars for people doing genuine business in need of dollars.

All domiciliary accounts with idle dollars should be taxed.
how
Do you think ppl will send money home when govt is stewing 10%
It will just make dollar scarce and price will go up
Use your noggin and the free education you got

This Minister appears to be the most performing Minister in this administration based on his performance on passport registration and collection. Honestly, when thinking deeply, what we call performance by the minister is nothing but a negative energy.
We are all rushing and jostling to have the international passport for the sole reason of escaping from the unpalatable conditions of the country. If our country is good, the ease of reg and collection of collecting the international should be the least of the yardsticks in rating the performance of the Minister of Interior having agencies under it (apart from International passport registration and collection)

While discussing with many Scottish here, I realised that many of them don’t have an international passport nor think of having one in the future. They only need the international passport for international vacations, they rarely relocate.

The Minister should get this to his brain, he could only hide the truth using the media propaganda for a while, the truth can’t be hidden forever.
so what should the yardstick be to rate interior minister, how many borehole he sinks or how many Okada he shares

What is the truth he is hiding

I hope you don't have pvc with this low iq

The last election shows the most influential politicians in the country at this time. Atiku should do the honourable thing for once and listen to Olabode George. Support Peter Obi.

Why

Meanwhile, LP shouldn't be in a hurry to talk about 2027. Focus on merger with PDP and NNPP. That's the only way the opposition can stop these lunatics in Aso Rock destroying Nigeria's economy. Tinubu is totally clueless!
Takes 2 to tango
What if pdp don't want them

Peter Obi should have the ticket of the merger party while Kwankwaso deputizes him. At least Kwankwaso knows by now that Peter Obi has by far more political influence than he can ever imagine.
why
K has a veto influence of Kano
Way more influence than obi as he is the beautiful bride spoiler

This is true about government workers.

Over 90% of the workers in local government secretariats do nothing apart from gossip. They just earn monthly salary without generating any revenue for the secretariats. I see no difference between them and ghost workers.

Most of the workers in Exams and Records in public universities do nothing apart from gossip. Students queue for payment invoice and queue again for signature after payment. But after final-year exam, the same students will gather all the receipts for paid fees and move from one office to another for clearance. What then do the workers in the Records office do if they can't prepare lists of those who are owing and those who have paid? The students will also move from one office to another, trying to get their results. There are many workers in the office but students queue for not just hours but for days behind the office windows while the workers sluggishly attend to the students.

I know a public secondary school in which SS1, SS2 and SS3 had only one Maths teacher. The same teacher was a lecturer in a State Polytechnic. One SS1 set saw the teacher only 4 times in 3 years (as the set moved from SS1 to SS3). The teacher taught the set Maths twice in SS1 and once in SS2. The 4th time was when the teacher entered the SS3 class once to advise the students to go to lesson centres to prepare for WEAC and NECO. Imagine a teacher being the one telling students to go to lesson centres.
jeez
