Since 2020, I’ve had this notion that Telegram is full of scammers, even though I know that’s not 100% true. Because of that, I’ve always kept my distance from the app.

Recently, since this mini-app gami-fi airdrops craze, I noticed exchanges are creating mini-apps versions of their apps on Telegram. At first, I ignored them because, well, it’s Telegram. But then I found out some of these apps are offering rebates percentages that the main apps do not. That was it for me. I am now a Telegram power user.

Bitget’s mini-app, for instance, is offering a 50% rebate on transaction fees for trade volumes over 100,000 - and it’s permanent.

For context, if you trade 100,000 USDT, the regular fee at 0.1% would be 100 USDT. With the rebate, you get back 50 USDT. That’s significant, especially if you’re an active trader.

Let me not lie—anything with discounts or rebates has my full attention, no matter how much I earn. Status doesn’t matter; I’ll still be the same cheapskate I’ve always been.
