Arguably, we can say we havent been ruthless enough in both ways because while it is bad that we struggle to move players along as at when due, we also seem to hold on to struggling managers for a bit too long.

Between 2003 and 2013/2014, Real Madrid hired 11 managers before they eventually won La decima. That's an average of about 1 manager/Season.

One would wonder why the "worldclass" players couldn't bail out those sacked managers.

The same sentiments wey make Man utd to dey keep the likes of Jones for years, is the same one that affects us when it is time to let go of underperforming managers at the right time.

As it has been observed on numerous ocassions, holding on to manager who is out of ideas has more catastrophic consequences than retaining a struggling player that can always be left out of match day squads.

In all of these, the manager would always be the fall guy - it is a norm at top, mid and bottom clubs.

From all indications, this is the right time to sack Carrick if we are to salvage whatever is left of this season.

Sacking Carrick is good, there's zero arguments from me for that because the little intensity that the terrorist Amorim tried to instill in our play, he's rubbished it totally..

Leave the players first, take a good look at the setup, and you'll see that Carrick is a criminal who needs to be jailed.

That space you see is because he's platformed the players more on positional play..When other teams are playing out from the back or progressing the ball, it's successful because it's done with non-stop running around which brings about an interchange of positions forming the triangle of passing lanes..

Carrick has come in and obliterated running and intensity from our trainings, heck after losing the derby, he gave them a day off..The result is what we witnessed against Brighton and what we've been seeing since after the Assnal game last season...

Look at the urgency from Brighton at 2-0 down away at Old Trafford in comparison to us being 3-2 down at home. The levels are so far apart, even just from an application standpoint - we can’t do the basics WITHOUT the ball, never mind with it..There was a moment Cunha and Bruno were even gesturing to Zirkzee and Mbeumo to join the press and they both stood still, looking so fatigued like they've played for 120mins..
