allthingsgood:But there are igbos in your govt who have been one-nigerialistic than murtala muhammed. Is there a more pro one -Nigerianist than oby ezekwesili or ogbonnaya onu in this country? Why not ask buhari to sack them all.? You are just a tribalist, nothing more. And your opinion counts for nothing. |
SE/SS votes even with all the voter apathy gave GEJ over 13 million votes. Buhari with all the child voters, fanatic northern and SW support only had 2 million advantage. And i am not even accounting for the obvious economic advantage of having a president endorsed by the SS/SE. |
Karm16:No, GEJ was accepted across board. Even in the north he held his own. Yes, your votes helped, but that is it. The key is getting substantial parts of the north, not the SW. |
tsephanyah:They have always been perpetual opposition, and somehow they think their one year in the sun gives them a monopoly over power. lol |
Karm16:When did yoruba start deciding what happens. You think because you allied with the north to put buhari in power and that means anything. The roles can be reversed this time. The SE who have the advantage of SS proximity can choose to ally with the north and whoop your asses silly. It would be an overwhelming defeat. Not the mere inflated 2 million advantage that buhari. I am sure the north would give anything to have the SE/SS into the fold even if it means kicking the SW to the curbs. Their SW alliance was not a first choice even from historical precedence. |
allthingsgood:Ofcourse, your votes swelled by northern hordes put buhari in power. And those northern power brokers will not support a yoruba presidency for obvious reasons. Don't overestimate yourselves. For being an abobaku, you would probably get a senate presidency at best. |
It dosen't even have to be an igbo man. A minority would do. A yoruba presidency though is certainly madness. |
Omokunlex:Even tinubu, if he is half as smart as he portrays will not actively support a yoruba presidency in 2023. He is too invested in one-Nigeria to allow such unfeasible incredulity. |
Omokunlex:I thought you guys claim to love Nigeria and are not tribalistic? You love a government only when your people are everywhere regardless of how much he accomplishes.? The SW should not be allowed in the government of any progressive nation. Toxic lots. |
allthingsgood:You are irrelevant. I personally don't trust a fulani to have the cerebral capacity to govern a modern nation, but then, a fulani man is currently president. Your wish is just one vote. |
Omokunlex:Go and take it na. Who is tinubu? The hausa fulani want nothing more than a perpetuation of Nigeria, and they would throw tinubu to the dust bin if it means extending Nigeria for a longer while. You see the way arewa came enmass to enugu to commiserate and reduce anti-Nigerian sentiments brewing in the east. That is how much they want Nigeria. And a yoruba presidency again in 2023 is not good for fulani one Nigeria and they know it. |
tsephanyah:Their idea of Nigeria is the one where they benefit. They are a bunch pseudo-patriots. Over a half of them voted for buhari because they felt he would give them the key to the kingdom at the expense of others. Competition is not their forte. |
If you want the presidency, go and get it. Backward zombies. I don't rate the APC,but surely they are not that stupidd enough to give the presidency to a yoruba man after buhari. Surely, they must have learnt a few lessons from the ongoing buhari administration, and done a feasibility study. |
engrfaruq:Ofcourse you would want that. Evil and envious people. They have been dealt with once and for all anyway. Repeating such atrocity again in igboland is probably unlikely given the way northern governors came all the way to enugu to apologize and the global awareness created by the igbo nation. The gun totting herdsmen are far more comfortable in your SW. |
Does this nitwit have parents? You are a whoree, then be a smart whoree. I am sure she has plans for a better future ,and a bad name forever on the internet is probably not the smart thing to do. |
Etern:The properties are irrelevant. Don't you get that? The future of generations unborn are at stake. You can keep it all. Afterall, you people claim these investments are not worth much anyway . If biafra becomes a country like south korea, then igbos would be better off and the sacrifice well worth it. Nigeria is not our own, sorry. Yours maybe, Ofcourse, you are favoured by the dysfuctionality. Just like you said, we lost it all before to a wicked nation, and we build it all up again. There is no reason why we can't replicate that again in our new country. |
omobaekiti:Still not comparable to what goes on in other parts of Nigeria. Nigeria is a jungle, remember. learn to compare relatively. Don't use british standard of civilization for the SE in a Nigerian jungle. |
Ofcourse, buhari will pretend not to see that. Silly goat. Is it any wonder why some people defend thieves from their ethnic region? Why would i give up decades of political relevance for buhari's anti -corruption charade? |
Omotaday:Shut the hell up. Your federal govt just released its IGR stats and ogun is not even in the top five. What product does ogun state export anyway?'' Lowly'' SE states like ebonyi exports quite a few products let alone the industrial giants like aba and onitsha who have a created a market for their aba made products as far as tanzania. |
[quote author=Etern post=45595624]Name just one potential that is limited in this big market.[/quoteThe potential of this country is severely limited by many factors. A large backward muslim population with all the backwardness of islam including disregard for human life, freedom and development, lack of dominant majority to create a sense of national direction, ethnic immiscibility, an a country with a history of being anti-igbo and historically responsible for the murder of millions of igbos which as far as i am concerned is enough reason to want a fresh start free from bitter memories. And significantly, the economics of the country even differs from region to region. The SE is largely very capitalistic and thrive in a survival of the fittest environment, while the SW and the north are largely socialistic and unfortunately have created such culture in Nigeria through the backward quota system. This country is not suitable for the igbo nation regardless of whatever peanuts they get already. And these are a few of the reasons i can type right now. |
Etern:Because they can get far much more. Of what use is your market when the potentia is limited. Isreal is not big, they are prosperous. South korea is not big, they are prosperous also. Their GDP/CAPITAL will swallow Nigeria with all her so-called large market. Beside, there is vacuum in west africa and even africa for cheap legitimate african made tech. And i believe biafra can fill the void through a decade of deliberate policy favouring industrialization and technical education. |
arresa:We cannot wait to run away? Maybe you probably don't realize that your dysfunctional country where the smallest state in Nigeria accounts for over 40% of commercial activities due to decades of loopsided federal govt developmental policies is the reason for such inordinate migrations where even SW states nearby are feeling the heat of mass migration. Anyway, when Nigeria divides, you can deport those gala sellers you like insulting. We need their raw strength to build our new country. Ofcourse, you don't want Nigeria to dabaru. Not when you have lagos to brag about. A city that should not be more than lome status under normal equilibrium. |
It is also not a coincidence that the SE has the lowest number of muslims. I am sure i don't need to draw the correlation between islam and chaos. |
THere is a difference between peace brought on by docility and laid back attitude of locals and peace created due to high standard of living and relatively high income equality. The SE is peaceful not because we are docile and laid back like some part of the country. We are peaceful because we are busy, and have jobs, and have a relatively decent standard of living. And that is the kind of peace the world recognizes and respects. |
