ollah1: Lobatan! Guess they went by road, sat beside passengers, bought items on the road, stopped over for a rest(in a restaurant, maybe). Got to the park, took a cab(maybe). Got home, relaxed with their family, the kids played with other kids. Like that like that. Wtf!
This virus will soon be everywhere, it's just a matter time.
HealthRe: Two More Nigerians Confirmed With Ebola, 139 On Surveillance by curiouses: 4:27pm On Aug 08, 2014
There are many unreported cases I insist. Unless we are able to identify those that came in with Sawyer while coming to Nigeria, those that were at the airport when he was been taken to the hospital, the doctor, nurses that attended to him and their families there's no way this menace can be curbed. May the heaven show mercy on us.
Christianity EtcRe: The Name More Powerful Than Ebola! by curiouses: 4:05pm On Aug 08, 2014
davno: My dear I need no brain transplant. The fear and confusion created by ebola can only be handled by d perspective dt comes from Christ.

Only Him can direct us on how to go and we need faith to follow His directions. Fear shuts down salvation. Including salvatiom from ebola.
While you are here waiting your Jesus to safe you from Ebola, people with brains are here

The rate at which this virus is spreading, I believe there're many unreported cases. Meanwhile, Japans are working so hard as to curb this menace.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Why All The Fuss Over Ebola Outbreak? Why Are We Afraid? A Nairalander's View by curiouses: 3:52pm On Aug 08, 2014
exxell: This disease I believe is not here yet on a large scale.
So we should wait Till half of the population is infected before waging war on it. Educate yourself and stop all these religion nonsense. If you're indeed fearless, why don't you get a ticket and travel to Liberia.

Christianity EtcRe: The Name More Powerful Than Ebola! by curiouses: 3:44pm On Aug 08, 2014
davno: JESUS CHRIST!

It is only in this name that we all can find safety.

All knees (including ebola's) bow at the mention of this name.

My people pls FEAR NOT for Christ have overcome d world for us. In Him we have peace.
You sure need brain transplant embarassed

HealthFujifilm Drug Eyed As Possible Treatment For Ebola Virus by curiouses(op): 3:12pm On Aug 08, 2014
A drug from Japan’s Fujifilm Holdings Corp.4901.TO -3.98% has emerged as a candidate for treating the Ebola virus, which has killed nearly 1,000 people in Africa during a recent outbreak.

The drug–a anti-influenza tablet called favipiravir–was created by a Fujifilm subsidiary, Toyama Chemical Co., and approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in March.

A Fujifilm spokesman said Friday that the company was in talks with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on how to prepare for trials of the drug in treating Ebola.

“Since Ebola and influenza viruses are the same type, theoretically, the same effects can be expected on Ebola,” said the spokesman. He added, however, that the drug is currently approved to treat only novel and re-emerging influenza viruses.

Fears over Ebola are growing especially after two American medical aid workers were infected in Liberia with the disease, which has a fatality rate of up to 90%.

As of Monday, the total of 1,711 Ebola infections and 932 deaths have been reported in Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone, according to the World Health Organization.

The two Americans were treated with an experimental drug not yet evaluated for safety in humans called ZMapp and developed by San Diego Mapp Biopharmaceutical Inc. They are currently hospitalized at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Fujifilm’s drug works in a different way from other anti-influenza drugs such as Tamiflu, the spokesman said. It inhibits viral gene replication within infected cells to prevent propagation.

Titiluvly: Aww sori swthrt..how r u doin dis mornin?..its flyin evrywia o..do u bliv it?
I do not. Virus is not some germs that can be killed with 'warm water'. The theory I think is based on the fact that Ebola spread through contact with bodily fluids or secretions of infected persons and by airborne particles and our people believe hot water is capable of killing any germs especially when it's salted. I ain't gonna bath with any hot water. I so much care about my skin.

sentaljohn: My mom woke me up wif ha call around 4am telling me to baff wif salty hot water coz of d ebola spread....twas sooo annoying.. I don't blame her sha, it's doz that surrounds ha...she's just tryna b protective....buh criously!!! We need to wake up.. Oyinbos are spending heavily to vaccine the virus, here we are baffing with salt......goodmorning thread-folks
My Pman don received countless phone calls this morning telling him about salted hot water. I think this people are just using intuitions that germs can't survive in hot water. It has no scientific backings whatsoever that virus dies in salted hot water. I pray Ebola become history soonest.
